Daisy, I'm glad you made it to the appointment in good time, and got to spend time with your GD2. I'm sure you are very tired after the early start, and appointment etc. Take it easy now!

OH and friends loved their day out .
GS1 and I went to collect GS2 and they had tea here. Both have been collected now , so a nice relaxing evening for OH and me

Gem, thank you. How lovely that GS1 was able to go with you to meet GS2 from school. I hope you've had a relaxing evening, and OH enjoyed the day out. xx

Good morning. We have had some rain during the night, don't think it was heavy.

Daisy, both of us enjoyed our dinner yesterday.
Glad you had a bit of time with GD.

We are going to the farm shop today and the garden centre.
I need a few cards for next month.
No cooking for me again. Yay.

          Morning Nanto/ ladies

          Nanto
You will be getting used to this high life eating out 😁
We had a bit of rain also ,

          Daisy
What a drag these roadworks are , it makes for a long day getting up early doesn't it,
I bet GS didn't mind you having a go at her slime , did she make it herself?

Storm had a sniff at the tables but he wasn't keen , I think it was the eucalyptus smell in with the beeswax,, we have a eucalyptus plant in the garden and he doesn't go near that either,
Wish I had known that when he was a pup and dug up my fruit saplings and brought the chewed bits into me,
I could have put eucalyptus oil around them 😁

MIL rang Bs youngest sister to say she was getting out yesterday Dr came around, oldest sister was already on her way from Newcastle to see her,
So youngest sister rushed out to get shopping like milk bread bacon eggs etc.

SIl got there , MIL already packed , SIL went to see the Dr as he was still on the ward she was concerned they were letting her out without OT assessment appointment,
          MIL got it wrong ,
Dr had said she was medically fit to leave but needed assessment for extra care etc,
MIL had only listened to fit to leave ,
She admitted she heard him say something about OT but ignored him.
She wasn't happy she has to stay and with it been a weekend and bank holiday she won't get out before Wednesday now.
Plus now younger Sil is left with all this shopping 🙄

It's grey and damp here but getting brighter later in the day by the forecast.

I was up early so I did a blitz downstairs cleaned all the paintwork, doors, and kitchen cupboard doors. anything I got my eye on got washed , polished or dusted.
I did upstairs and stairs hall and landing yesterday,
While I had a shower B got the ladders out and got the tops of the cupboards cleaned.

So if we get burgled while we are away they can't say it was dirty 🤣

            Good morning everyone.

Nan2 I would like one of those pretty seating areas in your graphic.

Oma, your SIL should have checked with the Dr before getting MIL's shopping in!
When are you setting off on your holiday?

It rained quite a lot overnight.
No plans here, apart from dropping off a birthday card for a birthday we had forgotten about

              Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, that seating arbour is so pretty and I wish I'd got room for something like that in our garden. Another meal out is great, and with all the meals you've got in your freezer you could have a nice long break from cooking. You've reminded me I've forgotten to send cards to two people whose birthdays are today. And one of them lives abroad. Oh dear.

Oma, I can understand you wanting to leave the house just so before you go away, but that sounds like a major spring clean this morning. You'll need the rest after all that. It's good to know your MIL is physically fit to leave hospital, and I hope they can arrange an OT assessment quickly. What a pity - all that food. I hope some of it keeps.

Gem, I think we had a shower overnight, but not enough to help with our parched lawn. It's cloudy and cooler today. Enjoy a "do nothing" day. xx

We have no plans for today, but lots of things that need doing. OH was really tired last night, so I've left him to catch up on his sleep. He's taken over a lot of household stuff to help me, but his other commitments don't go away and I'm a bit worried about him overdoing things. I'll just stick to essentials today and turn a blind eye to everything else.

                Good moaning!
Back from our holiday in Crete. The weather here is not good but by fair means or foul I have managed to get the washing dry and ironed.
OH got up at 6am. for golf this morning and then got back into bed because it was raining. He is still there. 🙄 Even the dog has gone back to bed.
I arrived home to a pile of brown envelopes, mostly about the court case which was held while I was away. In total I have to pay £250 and I now have 3 points on my licence. I expected 6.
Worst of all, apparently I made news in the local paper. Every single detail of the court case was printed. The headline was ‘OAP JUMPS RED LIGHT’ I am furious to say the least. Talk about an invasion of privacy. I just hope anyone who is bored enough to read it imagines me as ‘Gangsta Grannie’.
                Have a good weekend ladies.

Grauntie, welcome back from your holiday, but what a shock to see yourself plastered across the local rag. Invasion of privacy doesn't even come close - but I'm sure you could rock a Gangsta Grannie role if you need to. Yesterday's newspapers may not hold tomorrow's fish and chips these days but they are quickly consigned to the recycle bin. Console yourself that it was only 3 points, although I feel for you that there's been a miscarriage of justice over the incident.

I hope it hasn't spoiled the benefits of your holiday. xxx

Grauntie, welcome back! Oh dear about the newspaper article, not good. They must have been short of news

Daisy, at times we have to turn a blind eye and lower our standards a little. Yours and OH's health is more important xx

Good morning, Grauntie, would your name be in the newspaper?? That is not allowed here.

It has just started to rain here, a good thing for the nature.

I have been to the second hand shop for a plant pot to put the hydrangea in that the GD's got me for my birthday, I helped a young lady to put a childs kitchen in the boot of her car, I do meet them, she was a Canadian, she had lived in the UK and now settled here, she said " I don't speak very good Dutch", I told her that wasn't a problem!!

Oma, how do you cope on holiday? Do you clean the apartment? I hope that you can both relax and enjoy the break. Your MIL didn't get the full story, someone should have contacted the ward to make sure she was due to go home.

I do hope to get to the library this afternoon.

Daisy, you are lucky that your DH can manage to do the housework etc. I know a lot of men that can't!

Lizzie we are hating the dull weather here today, but feel the gardens need the rain. It hasn't rained where I live for a long time!
Your plant looks beautiful in that pot

                            Thank you Gem and Daisy.
Lizzie, my name, address, age, make of car, model of car, the complete breakdown of costs to pay and points given. Even the time it took for me to go through the lights, 4.6 seconds, but they didn’t put speed recorded, 0 mph which was my argument.
The hydrangea looks lovely in that pot.
Daisy, I hope you are able to turn a blind eye. If not, can you employ some help?
Oma, where do you get your energy from? I have been looking at my windows inside and patio doors for weeks, they are grim, especially when the sun shines on them. I can always find something more pressing to do.

Don't worry about it, it will all keep for another day,
You both need a break away after all you have gone through these past weeks.

I know it sounds like I do a lot but you have to remember I live in a little shoe box new build basically a two up two down and not much in between😁

                                That's shocking , it's not like your a boy racer ,
As Gem said short on news that day.
At least you had a nice holiday😁

                                Lizzie
                                Lovely pot and flowers ,

We said the same SIL should have checked with the ward first, MIL has done it before so she should have known better.
We set of early Monday morning only a couple hours drive I think.

Football on as it's Sunderland playing at Wembley today.
