Niece is back on the ward and surgery went fine ,
I think they are getting her on her feet tomorrow I'm not sure yet till SisIL rings .

MIL was in a good mood we did a few jobs around the house and put her meals in the freezer ,
A good visit so we stayed a bit longer ,
On the way home we went to the car wash.
About 6 foreign young men cleaned it and did a lovely job ,
We then went to B&Q and home by lunch time 😁

Niece just this minute text said she's numb from the waist down but feels good,
They said she can have some lunch in about a hour.

A day at the sea side, how lovely, it takes us a couple of hours to get to the sea, I am sure E will enjoy that day out.

Daisy, you can’t do some ironing on a lovely day like today. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and the brimstone butterflies are flying. Time for the fresh air.

Oma, I seemed to have missed what op. Niece was having. What a difference your visit to Mil is if she is pleasant, not much to ask for.

When H is back from pre=school she will have a lovely surprise, her two cousins will be here and we already have the youngest, almost a year, until their mum collects them later.

I am going out to the sunroom with a good story whilst it is sunny. That bird is deafening with its song.

Plant my niece is only 54 but has to have both hips and knees replaced ,
        First hip replaced today.
She was a runner and it's really done damage over the years , Arthritis set in early, the surgeon said she's been very unlucky it happened so young

She just sent me a video she's already walking up the corridor , said it's painful but she's managing .

I bet H gets really excited when she sees everyone, is the baby walking yet?

        Gem
E looks like he's really enjoying himself, doesn't he look sweet in his glasses
        Did you have ice-cream 😁

Plant it's over an hour drive to the coast for us, but not as far as for you.
How lovely for the cousins to get together.

We had such a lovely day at the seaside.
We went to Filey. We said we have had much cooler and less settled days in midsummer. So sunny and no wind at all. We built sandcastles and little E paddled in his wellies. We shared an ice cream after our lunch Oma He had a wonderful day and was so good.
Lots of happy dogs around. Dogs are allowed on that beach until May 1st.

            Good evening.

I came on here to post at 3.30, then visitors came, and didn't leave until 7.

Oma, glad your niece is doing ok.

Gem, a lovely day at the seaside, just what the doctor ordered.

Daisy, you can do so much more in the air fryer than chips.

Plant, yes the tomato sausages do have meat in them.

We got all the jobs done today, that we planned.
Asda delivery came about 9.30. The driver has been here a few times.
He's a very cheery man, always seems to be full of joy.
            Hairdresser came and went.
After dinner i got the grass cut, hubby did some tidying up in the garden.

Oma, I'm sorry I didn't see your post about your Niece's op this morning. I'm glad everything went well, and although she's really unlucky to need all that surgery at such a relatively young age, she will hopefully make a speedier recovery than someone 20 years older.

Plant, what a busy GGC day for you, plus the sunshine. I bet it was really warm in your sun room.

Gem, what a lovely day you have had. One of those days you will look back on and remember what a gorgeous little boy E is, and how he loved every minute of his day out. I bet he slept in the car on the way home.

Nanto, that sounds like a satisfying sort of day, and it's it great to be out in the garden without freezing or needing wellies on! I cut the lawn this afternoon as well, and did some weeding and pruning a couple of plants back. Plenty more to do tomorrow if the rain holds off.

                Good morning.

Don't think there is anything planned for today.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning.

According to the forecast it's going to be a bit cooler today. Rain for tonight.

I think dinner will be breaded cod, baby potatoes, veg and parsley sauce.

                  Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, Does the "nothing planned" mean you're going to have a nice relaxing day? I hope the rain holds off in case you want to get out in the garden.

We've got a Sainsbury's delivery this morning, and I want to get on with the gardening as we've got rain forecast for this afternoon. That's about it really.

I hope evryone is ok - I'll pop back later.

Daisy, it might be a more relaxing day,but no guarantee.
Hope you get the gardening done.

Good morning Nan2, Daisy and everyone else.
If you are reading this, say hello

I hope you manage some gardening before the rain Daisy.

GS2 from school this afternoon. I have no other plans, apart from booking train tickets. I must write up the Minutes either today or over the weekend, or I will forget and can hardly decipher my own writing
GD will be coming with DD2 to collect her little brother tonight, straight from a dance rehearsal. That will be lovely as we can go several weeks without seeing her now she is older.

I hope everyone has a good Friday.

I want to clean the kitchen cupboard doors but I'm having 5 minutes ,
By the time I did my housework got washed and dressed and did my hair I'm shattered 😁

Waiting for dog arriving , he won't be happy I washed his bed and all his stinky toys

Niece just text , she's been along to the gym did some stairs and a few exercises,

Oma, yes they get you up, walking and climbing stairs within the first few hours. No rest after joint replacement! It sounds as though your niece is doing well.

Oma, I suppose it's good for your niece to be up and active, but she must be very tired, and looking forward to sleeping in her own bed tonight.

Gem, in a way it' sad that we tend to see less of our GCs as they get older, but it's right that they should be out and about and busy. I also expect your GD, like my GD1 is getting loads of homework this year - and it will probably only get worse next year with GCSEs looming. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't read her own handwriting. I blame all the years of using keyboards and writing shorthand!

Nanto, the window cleaner has just arrived, so I'm going to start gardening when he's finished at the back.

Of course my GC are a lot older than yours and my GGC are very young, nothing in between. All the GGC were next door yesterday so I went in to see them, they were very tired and quiet, they came straight from school until their mother fetched them. Their mother is going back to teaching one day a week. My GD1 is taking H to the doctors,H has developed a rash, not sure what it is, probably picked something up from nursery.

Gemini, How old is your GD, is she still dancing? I am sure she misses seeing you too. Your day at the seaside must have been lovely to get some sea air.

Oma, They certainly get people on their feet quickly, did you say your neice has more ops to come?

Daisy, I hope the rain keeps off so you can do your gardening.
                              Got to go cleaner arrived

Plant, my GD is 15. She loves her dancing ( and is very good) She now belongs to two dance schools, and helps out with the little ones at the Saturday morning class of the school she has been with since she was tiny.
                                I hope H is OK.
