    Good morning everyone.

That sounds a nice dinner Nan2. I'm not sure what we are having yet.

I'm sure your BIL appreciates your visit Daisy, and what nice idea about the lady with the cards.

GS2 from school this afternoon. I need some shopping this morning, no other plans today.

      Morning ladies,

      Gem
have fun with GS2 I bet he’s more interested in the kittens🤣

My DDs two cats were called Banff& Jasper from her time there in Canada , they loved going.
Went every year when GS was small for the snow sport , they haven’t been since before the lockdown .

      Nanto
enjoy your free time , we had gammon the other night, B likes the whole egg pineapple thing , I just like mine plain 😁

      Daisy
How much are them cards going to be cherished by his DDs ,
Im pleased the Barra brith was a hit .
      Hows your knee?

      WG
How are you today ? Are you walking any further or taking it slowly?

Did I miss Plant yesterday? I can’t recall seeing her on here , but I haven’t looked back at many posts so may have missed hers.

Well I tried to go to Lidl this morning ,
Big mistake B had to bring me back home ,
I have Physio at 10.30 I’m really fed up of this now ,
Lack of sleep and constant pain is making me grumpy 😠

This is Banff & Jasper , Gem.
Jasper is the Ginger one he’s still alive but only comes home when he needs a vet or to have a look around he has about 5 homes ,
Banff died many years ago ,
She went missing for a year and was found almost 100 miles away living in the bottom of someone’s garden.living on we think mice and rats etc
DD paid hundreds to get her well as she was very thin and bleeding from her back end but after 3 month the vet said she was just too poorly ,
So she sadly was put to sleep in DDs arms .

          Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, my OH loves gammon and pineapple. He'd be round at yours like a shot if you were next door.

Oma, you sound very fed up, and no wonder, that pain has been relentless for ages now. I hope the Physio can help to ease it. My knee is much better (thank you for thinking about it) but I'm being careful not to do anything silly and hurt it again. It's still tender and swollen but walking is ok.

It's amazing how cats, and even dogs, can turn up again after being lost for ages, and at least your DD was able to care for Banff in her last few months.

Gem, that sounds a relatively relaxed day for you. Plenty of time for kitten cuddles, I hope.

WeeGranny, I hope you've had a comfortable night. Are you out of hospital now? You must be relieved the surgery is over and you can work on recovery now. Is you son coming over for a while?

Plant, how is H settling down at her new nursery?

No special plans for me today. I need to catch up on neglected chores though, so that will keep me out of mischief. I'm hoping at least some of the washing might dry outdoors - there's an awful lot of it. OH took his car in last week to have the wheels balanced and the retracking done. We were on the motorway yesterday and it was vibrating like mad at 60-70 so he's going to take it back. The tyre place has changed hands and it's nowhere as good as it used to be, so I think this is the last time we'll go there. The Sainsbury's order arrived 20 minutes early so the poor young driver was treated to the spectre of me with rat-tail hair from the shower, and wearing my old fluffy dressing gown.

          Have a good day everyone.

Beautiful cats Oma! How sad about the one who went missing , and came back poorly
Please rest and resist going shopping for a while xx

Daisy I hate it when supermarket deliveries arrive before we are ready!

DD2 is going away with work for a week from tomorrow. GS2 really misses her (and she him) when she goes away. So, instead of bringing him back here for tea from school as normal, I will pick him up and we will have cake in cafe local to them. Then I will look after him at theirs until DD stops work.

I'm happy to do this, the only downside is the drive home in the dark. I'm OK once I get to York , it's the country roads between them and York I dislike, especially in the Autumn when I haven't had to do it for a while!

Daisy, I have stopped taking my car to a local Volvo garage where I bought the car, they are so expensive. I prefer to take it to our very local garage where you deal directly with the garage owner and the mechanic. I am sure the grocery delivery person see many people not ready to face the world. H has settled down very well in her new nursery

Gemini, I don’t drive in the dark now if I can help it but I am a lot older than you. GS2 will enjoy his tea out with you.

WG, Have you been transferred yet? Is it a local nursing home you are going to?

Oma, How is GS getting on with his new key safe? I am so sorry you are still in pain, do try and rest when you can.

Hopefully he never has to use the spare keys in the key safe and remembers to pick his keys up on his way out of the flat.

Well physio was a waste of time ,
she couldn’t examine my hip or back as I hadn’t been referred for that only my leg and ankle.
Even though she thought it was all connected.
Refering me back to the skeletal team for my ankle and leg , I will get a text with an appointment.

Oma, I think this is the sort of experience of medical care that makes us gnash our teeth and mutter "red tape, bar humbug" (or words to that effect). Now you've got to go through a whole lot of hoops again to get another appointment for your hip and back.

Gem, it's so difficult when as mum you have to go away for work reasons, so no wonder GS2 misses his mum. But I'm quite sure Grandma will make sure he gets lots of extra Grandma love and cuddles. I do sympathise though over driving home in the dark on narrow country lanes. Is there a different route you could take, even if it's a bit longer?

Plant, we use a little local garage in the next village for servicing etc, but OH had bought tyres from a tyre place. But, he found out it wasn't the tracking that was out. When they took the wheel off they could see it was the brake caliper sticking to the brake itself - on two different wheels! So it's going to be a hefty bill. They couldn't do it straight away because they had to order parts, so I had to drive over to pick him up. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow.

So by the time I'd collected OH from town it was nearly lunch time. It wasn't worth putting washing out to dry as it was quite damp and cold. I got the rest of the washing done this afternoon, portioned up some dog food and took Eva for a walk. OH is out this evening, so I've just made myself a salmon salad and I might have a glass of wine with it!

We had visitors all afternoon, so that was enjoyable.

Oma, hope the pain eases soon.
What a shame about the cat that died, poor thing.

Daisy, glad the knee is less painful.

Good morning everyone, I had a busy day yesterday, first doing the coffee etc then after I had been to the gym I went for a tour of the new school, well, one of them, the bi-lingual follows this week, a lovely building, very similar to the school GD's attended. We were shown round the nursery part, that should open in January, it was interesting.

I hope your back is improving Oma, I am sure the physio could have had a look (feel) at what is causing the pain, I was at the physio last week for my knee's, I had that pain in my butt and the young girl examined it for me, I should think it is their work, I could be wrong!

Gem, how did it go driving home? I am not keen on driving in the dark, it is even worse in the dark when it is raining!

M next door has been in bed all the week with the flu, I hear a lot of people have it at the moment.

Daisy, there are times when cars cost money in repairs, to be honest, it is the same with bikes!!!!! Maybe not as expensive but things happen. I have an old bike for shopping, it is 18 years old and well used, very well in fact, the last few months the seat was squeaking , very annoying, I sprayed all the springs a few times, nothing helped, it was so noisy the other day I decided to give it one more chance, I examined it, and, it is a "floating" saddle, there was a rubber coating that has rotted over the years and probably got wet at sometime or other, that was causing the squeek! I sprayed it and now no noise at all!

Oma, I hope GS remembers his keys from now on, my DS1 was forever loosing keys when he was young, it passes!!!

                          Good morning.

Lizzie, glad you cured the squeaky seat.hope Let's hope the bike lasts for another 18 years.

We are going into town. Not much we really need, but hubby has no jobs to do, and said he would rather be out, than sat around doing nothing.
Meeting up with DS2 for coffe.
                          We will eat out.

We were saying last night, it's ages since we saw the sun.
When our hairdresser came on Thursday, she said the cloud will be hanging over us for another week.
When hubby was with his pal yesterday , he told hubby 11 inches of snow is due after the weekend.
Not a foot of snow, 11 inches.

                                Good morning all.

Lizzie, perhaps you will have retired from cycling in 18 years!

We don't want any snow Nan2, be it 11 inches or a foot!

Oma, would you consider some sort of massage treatment? Deep tissue or sports massage really gets into the muscles, and is what saved me. Also things like hot stone massage help. I have had ultrasound with massage and that was really good. The lady who does that is to expensive for me to go to regularly but the couple of times I have it helped a lot.

The drive home was fine. I was following another car, which helps. Daisy, there isnt another way, but once I get to York I come the longer lighter way back from there .

This afternoon we are going to see the new Paddington film, then out to tea
