Lovely photo Gem. Glad a good time was had.

DS1 just rang.
GD2 had her car written off yesterday. She was parked up and in shop when it happened.
The girl that did the damage doesn't want to go through her insurance, because she only passed her test the day before. We paid for some work done on GD's car, hubby likes to keep it in good condition,and it passed its MOT at the end of January.
So relieved GD wasn't hurt.

What a lovely photo , I love your dress where is that from if you don't mind asking .

Can you remember last year I told you about a speed sign that had changed and was tiny to see,
Then someone had pulled the greenery away from it and it wasn't as tiny as we thought you just couldn't see it ,
Each week when we go past I always notice it's getting covered again.
Today when we passed people must have been complaining as all the bushes and shrubs have been removed around it so it can't be hidden again .
It was put in a silly place to my mind amongst all that greenery , it should have been put nearer the road .

Nanto, luckily no one was hurt in the accident.

I hope the your DH's car soon passes the MOT Daisy, when the tyres get sorted out.

It is lovely and sunny here after a cold start, I have been into Rotterdam with GD2 for her birthday present, we knew what she wanted, a bag the same as GD1 has, the plan was in another colour, but, she ended up with a black one, the same as GD1. We went for lunch then "flew" round a few shops, oh to be young again!!!! Of course my temperature was on the rise so I was pleased to be home, she couldn't spend much time in town as it was, she has to study for her tests this week. She was telling me, she is going to Praque with school in June, then in the summer holiday with a friend to a kite surfing camp for a week, it is on the island they have often visited, DS1 and DIL have booked a cottage so they are there if they are needed, I doubt if they will be needed, but, they love that island. Then, as family they are going to New York for a fortnight!!! GD was saying how much she enjoyed those few days away with me last summer, she said she didn't think she would enjoy it as much!!

Nanto, what an awful shock for your GD2. Thank goodness she wasn't in or near it when the accident happened. I also feel for the girl who hit her, just a day after passing her test. I'm sure she will learn from whatever she did that was such a disaster for her, but I hope it doesn't put her off driving.

Gem, what a lovely photo of you, GD and her Mum. Your GD looks so elegant and happy. I love.your dress too - it's very "you".

Oma, yes, I remember you saying about that speed limit sign. It's taken a while, but at last they've sorted it out. Fingers crossed there will be no more accidents on that road.

Lizzie, I hope your GDs don't get their bags mixed up, but black is such a useful colour, isn't it. What an exciting Spring and Summer your GD2 - and her family - are going to have. I'm sure you will miss them though while they are away. Did your temperature go back to normal ok?

I'm not surprised GD enjoyed her holiday with you last year - you're very close to both of them. Our GDs were saying last week that they'd like to go away with us in the caravan again in the summer.

We've had sunshine all day and it wasn't too cold once the frost had cleared. This afternoon OH and I did some gardening - lots to do in the front garden which is always ahead of the back garden as it gets sun all day. We did quite a bit of weeding, cut down one of the buddleia bushes and a few other odds and ends. The rose by the front door has sprouted leaves in the last few days, daffodils and other spring flowers are looking very pretty. Perhaps we are finally seeing the end of this horrible winter.

Daisy, we were looking at other colours, but, they are very popular here, especially with school children, we both liked the brown one, it wasn't available in the right size, so, it was black, she is going to put a key hanger on the zip or somewhere so that she knows which is hers.

My temperature is almost back to what it should be! Strange!

Good morning everyone.
The start of a new week in which I hope everyone is well.
I'm still coughing like a 40 a day smoker, in the mornings, but its almost gone now!

Nor frosty here either Nan2, which I'm glad about as I hate defrosting my car.

Aquafit this morning, I didn't get a place when booking opened last week but got a cancellation yesterday afternoon.
This afternoon I am meeting DD2's best friend for coffee. We haven't met up for a very long time. For my 70th she gave me a voucher for a local coffee shop with the note 'lets meet up for that coffee!' So today is the day.
