Good morning everyone. It's windy here, too, but the sun is shining a bit. We could do with a break from the rain!!

Enfys - how frustrating about the biopsy. It seemed a bit odd at the time - I would have thought they'd want to do that before the op, but of course if the medics say it can be done later then you take their word for it. Thank goodness they've realised their mistake. I hope your poor DH doesn't have to pait long for it. You must be feeling life is on hold at the moment. You're doing the right thing keeping busy.

You will miss your DD while she's away, but it will be great to see your DS and DD together - I'm sure Face Time/Skype will be busy!!! Your GD will have a holiday of a lifetime, I'm sure.

      Good morning everyone.

      It's mighty windy, isnt it?!
I love YWP Nana, I can just picture the poor animals sheltering away!

Enfys, no wonder your OH is fed up. He just wants to get things over with, and muddles like this don't help. You will both feel better once the operation is over and done with.
      Exciting times for your GD

We plan to deliver the calendars today, as long as the rain stays away. No point pushing soggy paper through letterboxes! If I hear from the treasurer today I will finish the minutes. No other plans. I know OH is itching to take down the decs. She's happy to wait until 12th night, but left to her own devices they would be down today as we have time!
Take care out there if you have to go out today

Enfys we can fully understand how you OH feels , all you both want is to get on with whatever the drs need to do so as your OH can concentrate on recovering. Hope you hear from the hospital soon.
Your GD must be bursting with excitement

Gem we took our decs down on New Years Day. I used to leave them up till 12th night but I tend to do them when I am in the mood. I love the decs and they don't bother me if they were to stay up till 12th night . I have noticed those around here who put the decs up in November took them down on Boxing day.

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

GD must be very excited Enfys, how old is she? I do hope you hear something soon from the hospital

Sunny but quite windy here, I thought I had lost the wreath from the side of the door, thought the wind had taken it far away, then I thought I can't remember hanging it up, I don't think it came down from the loft. Everything wrapped and put safely away in a large plastic box, I kissed the fairy and said have a good sleep, see you next year.

Mimi, I think that is the problem (well only a problem to me I realise ) People put them up far too early (in my opinion!) so by Boxing Day are totally fed up with them. I put mine up to stay up 3 weeks, any shorter seems hardly worth the bother

                Good morning all.

Back home after a lovely time with DD and family. Sad to leave them.Usually when we leave the children are at school so I leave them a little goodbye note, some money and a chocolate bar on their pillow. This time I gave them the cash and choc.and said that as they were there as we left I wouldn’t leave a note.”Oh no Nana,I like a note “said Finn so I had to hurriedly write one and smuggle it up to his room

Our journey back was not the best due to the torrential rain and loads of lorries making visibility a real problem but OH soldiered on and we got home safely.

Lots to to catch up on here and a muddled house to sort out as we went away immediately after the DSs had left.Plus no washing machine until new one arrives next Monday Back to hand washing “smalls”,the rest will just have to wait. We’ve certainly got enough (too many really) clothes to survive. Note to self- you must have a clear out session!

                See you later.

Welcome home Clover. I can imagine how hard it is to say goodbye after a lovely family time. How sweet about the note! We don't always realise what is important to children do we?
Well done to OH handling the awful driving conditions.

Lovely way to pack your fairy away Plant. Enfys I hope your OH gets sorted ASAP. Just listening to the news non-urgent operations are being moved back to February. I hope this doesn't affect your dear husband. My DD2 has txt to say tiles are being blown off their roof. Time to batten down the hatches.😱
