Just back from DD3"s where we went to deliver her card and presents for her birthday on Saturday. Her main present is a suitcase for Canada. It is a World's Lightest suitcase, in a lovely peacock blue. I have a burgundy one, and they are wonderful for long trips
Big so you can fit lots in, but ultra light , with 4 wheels so it can go sideways as well as forwards. Her going is seeming awfully real now. As OH will be in Portugal when DD goes, I will need you grannies to comfort me!

For some reason I didn’t sleep much last night. A couple of hours. It was a busy day today as my brothers came over from Kent. What I want to know is how do you non sleepers cope? I feel positively unwell with tiredness. Just waiting for the electric blanket to take the chill off then I’m headed bedwards.

Weather brilliant for our trip to the Ialse of Wight, journey around Salisbury a bit frustrating, managed to avoid it coming coming back

OH off bright and early today for an away golf match. GS2 day for me. I will have to give him an early lunch in the hopes that he will have a nap before we leave at 2.30 to go for his sister. There are too many of these Friday golf days coming up, messing up our convenient arrangement of OH staying with GS whilst I go for GD!! I hate having to wake him up.

Well I managed my housework this morning , not too much then B stripped the bed and I got that in wash
I then stood and did some ironing , there wasn't a great deal but I didn't want it piling up ,
I'm aching but not too bad its much better today
GS1 at tea time and then he has a hair appointment at 4 , Dog is watching next doors cats and B popped out to get Cabbage and stuff for tea so its all quiet and peaceful at the minute

Doctors appointment went well. Blood pressure still a bit high,but he's happy with the way things are going.

I put a load of towels and t towels on the line, before we went out, when the sun was shining.
It's clouded over now.

Rosie stayed at her dads last night.
School closed today for the Tour de Yorkshire, so they are coming for dinner.
Fish and chips today.

Eldest grandaughter rang,to see how i got on at the doctors.
She is working 13 twelve hour shifts, so doubt if we will see her just yet.

Doctor registered me in their hypertension clinic, so will be going for regular check ups.

Oma - I don't know how you do it. You can get more done before 10 am when you're not 100% than I can do in a whole day! I'm really glad you're feeling better. xxx


Must get back to the chores!

Tomorrow for our visitors, I'm making a chicken, tarragon, mushroom and leek pie for lunch (I tried it out the other day to check it works!), and just something simple like berries and cream for pud. I also want to make a cake to have with coffee - but I'll see how the time goes. Of course I decided on what to do when it was freezing cold and pouring with rain - now it's nice and sunny I hope the pie won't be too heavy.
