What a funny old day....rain, wind and cold this morning, blue skies and sun this afternoon. Managed to get the shopping done this morning and had Dexter this afternoon so luckily I could leave the doors open for him. A nice day forecast for tomorrow so hopefully a day out and lunch out too 🤞

Good morning everyone.
Oma, I''m glad to hear things are improving. Take it easy today.
Sorry you didn't have a good night Nan2.
Libra, M looks very grown up with her new hairstyle.
I hope Plant and GD are having a good time.
How did last night's meal go Daisy?
The sun is shining again. I have added mums weekly shop to my Tesco order, due at 10, so I just have to take it to her this afternoon. She wanted to pay us for the cleaning day yesterday, and we didn't want anything. She knew this and left us a sealed envelope each. When we opened them, after she went with DD2, they contained ÂŁ200 each. We decided, between us to accept ÂŁ50 each, as she obviously wanted us to have something. I left the remaining money in an envelope. I wonder if she has found it by now?! She was insisting we had it, but didn't notice me leaving it.
We will pop over to DD3's tonight with her presents and card, as it is her birthday tomorrow. My baby will be 30!

Good sunny morning ladies. Isn't it nice to see some sunshine. Makes dog walking more appealing. Hope plant is having a good time. Kind of your Mum to want you to accept a gift for all your hard work Gem, oldies get funny when you won't accept a gift, so good you took a little of it. It's their pride I suppose . Oma how are your joints now? Hope the pain has subsided.Plant enjoy the I of W should be lovely with the sunshine . Daisy how did Eva get on in a different class ?. Hope anyone poorly are on the mend. How is Mr Enyfs doing now he is home. Well better hop in the shower and get ready to greet the day ahead."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Back from Hospital all well , gave him a Tetanus as our GP cant get hold of them and its part of his childhood jabs ,
Was in agony walking the corridor's but I made it now resting till it eases again .
Gem i can understand your Mum wanting to give you something , and refusing would probably upset her so taking a little bit even though you didn't want anything will make her feel better , and it was very sweet of her to do that ,
Libra its lovely out so walking the dogs will be a pleasure today

Mum phoned (although I am seeing her this afternoon!) to thank us again. The more she looks around the more she sees we have done. Although we wanted to do more we are happy that she is happy with the results
Glad all well with B, Oma, you rest to ease your aches and pains xx“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I had to Google 'Hill's Hoist' - but they do look good. I have this picture, though, of WeeGranny trying to get it into her suitcase when she came back from Australia!!!
WeeGranny - I often find myself either reminding OH there is a choice of gears, or sitting biting my lip, itching to do it for him! He never listens to the car engine, and drove an automatic until recently.
Plant - I look forward to hearing about your trips to Longleat and the Island. It's a lovely day today, and it seems really clear, so you should have some good views to admire.
Enfys - yesterday was definitely a day of two halves!
Libra - I think M's hair looks great. Easier to manage and it really suits her.
Nanto - those birds get up far too early at this time of year. I hope tonight is better.
Gem - how lovely of your mum to give you the money and to phone and say thank you again. It shows she really does appreciate what you and S have done for her, and I bet she will feel more comfortable in her home now. I hope she finds the money you left behind.
Oma - pleased to hear all went well at the hospital, but poor you having to do all that walking.
Libra - I bet walking the dogs this morning was a joy! Eva did quite well. There was in fact one dog she'd met in her very first beginners' class, and I think it's fair to say her owner and I were more pleased to see each other than our dogs were! Eva was also a bit wary of a dog she's seen a lot at Roundy Roundy - I think she was surprised to see him in class. But she did everything we asked of her, so I can't complain!
I went out quite early this morning as I had a lot of shopping to do, and with the Bank holiday week-end approaching I wanted to be ahead of the crowds on the roads and in the supermarket. It was still very busy, and by the time I'd done the food shopping and been to the garden centre it was lunch-time when I got home. My most exciting buy was a large door mat for the French windows in the dining room, plus a couple of builder's buckets for when I'm weeding etc. So exciting!!!

Well I've been and cast my votes for the would be Parish and District councillors. Choose 3 for District, 15 for Parish. I chose 1 and 6!! As did OH. It'll be interesting to see the results this time. I think there's more interest because we've had lots of new houses built so lots of new people bringing life to the village and not automatically voting for the 'old guard'. We need a bit of a shake up.I do hope my choices get voted in though!Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Evening notice I didn’t say good, I have been on my iPad most of the day in trauma , I will report on it at the appropriate thread, but it’s worn me out I don’t know what a POP is or an SMPT such jargon for an older lady it’s been a complete cock up and the air has been very dark blue I didn’t know I knew such swear words
This afternoon we walked to vote in local elections and carried on walking a couple of miles and very pleasant it was after the damn fiasco with the above
Plant hope the weather is being kind to you
Libra love Ms hair she looks so grown up , how did the folk view the house positive vibes I hope
Oma it doesn’t sound like your much better it’s really holding on to you rest and more rest I think
Gem glad you got mums house more up to scratch and that she appreciated it in the form of envelopes 🙂
Daisy sounds like a busy weekend for you , I on the other hand will be thinking of you whilst lounging in the heat of the bank holiday
Enfys hope you got out today
Nan2 sleep better tonight if you can
