My late mother had cataracts in both eyes removed , then a few years later double Cornea grafts that sadly didn't work so was almost blind , but she didn't let it stop her doing and going anywhere , as it had been a long process she got used to it over the years .
It scared the life out of us when she crossed roads etc but her hearing was spot on .

      Hiya ladies

It seems cataracts are a very common thing doesn't it, so not worrying about it till we need to

The valuation today was well under the other by £55,000 I did n t like him not because of the difference in price , I am realistic about what it's worth, but felt he wasn t really interested the other chap was very keen but anyway we had a little ride out today and there is absolutely nothing ladies for us OH says something will turn up and we'll know when it's right for us 😀 I will take your advice Plant it is a big decision and it needs to be right !

Busy day Gem you seem to be taking over from me !! Enjoy this evening like the sound of the pork recipe

Oma thats what drives me mad about diy OH is a perfectionist and I know it will be done well but to be honest it doesn't look any different when whatever he's done is done if you catch my drift .

Out for fish and chips for tea with DD and G/d always a pleasure 😁

Oma when husband last went to the hospital (about three months ago) the consultant was surprised he was still working with his sight loss. He (husband not consultant) cannot see left or right or up or down just straight in front. He is forever bumping into things but he does seem to have a sort of radar. Like your mum he also has very keen hearing which can cause problems when I mutter under my breath when he has annoyed me!!!

            Good morning all.

            I love that cat Nan2
Zizi, it must be so difficult for your poor OH.
Qwerty, I'm sure your OH is right, something will turn up.
I hope Daisy is having a lovely holiday!

I had cataracts in both eyes removed several years ago (local anaesthetic) They said I was rather young for this op! I then had to have the after-cataract laser treatment on both eyes, a few months later. It is a quick procedure (the cataract op) Not anything you would do for fun, but no big thing either.

We had a lovely evening with DD3, her OH and A and J.
I have a friend coming for coffee this morning. This afternoon as well as my mums usual shopping I think she wants me to take her to buy a new fridge freezer. She says her fridge isn't working although the light is on. I haven't had time to go over to check, so I'm hoping it may just be a dial moved or something.

            Enjoy your day!

Afternoon ladies. I think I might skip the cataract conversation😂 I'm just going to finish off the Dracula toy I'm knitting. Just got to sew the cape on & put on his facial features. What to make next I wonder?

Not been too busy a day for me, for a change.

Sun is shining, but feeling cool now.

We've just heard an almighty bang. Neighbours all out looking, but none of us can see anything.

I am back, lunch with my Aqua friends and I have started making chutney and mincemeat. Need to get some more ingredients tomorrow..

I am going to a meeting organised by my surgery to help people who have had falls, I seem to qualify for that.

I hope the bang is nothing serious Nan2

I agree Qwerty men talking about cars, well mainly men is really boring.

Hope there hasn't been an accident, Nan2.

Had a nice day, went to Wimborne, a small market town nearby, had a mooch around, then a lovely pub lunch and on to Kingston Lacey, NT house, and enjoyed a nice walk. All the autumn colours were gorgeous and still lots of roses out.

Feeling tired now but wnjoyed our day.

Im going to try and knit a pair of socks - found my Mum's double ended needles but had a lucky find in a charity shop today - two circular needles for 50p each! So I've no excuse now not to have a go . No idea if they'll be wearable but we'll see 🤞
