    Morning ladies ,
Gem I hope you find what you want , it took us weeks to decide and although I like my suite its not really the one I wanted , the one I had my eye on was WAY over our budget , B went pale when he saw the price
Got youngest GC at tea time so before I even got dressed I started painting the kitchen and dining room walls , took longer masking up and covering everything in plastic ,
Just the back wall to do tonight have to wait till DS comes to give a hand taking the very large heavy mirror down ,
I will start the living room in the morning ,
We were all done by 9.30 so went to the shops after I had a shower and came back and took all the masking tape and plastic down
Im a bit worn out now
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good grief Oma. I wish I had your energy. Have you been able to just have your GD around for the day since her last visit?

OH feeling tender tummied & tired. Not much sleep here for either of us last night so catching up today.

Has anyone missed Granny Jules on here? I have.

Nana - sometimes getting one job done and dusted frees your mind up to concentrate on something else, like your submissions. xx
But you probably just need to get some sleep today, and put your 'To Do' list on hold. I hope OH feels better soon.

Mimi - your halo is dazzling me, or is it your nice shiny oven?

Gem - good luck with sofa hunting. We need to replace our two electric reclining arm chairs - they're about 15 years old and very shabby, but getting OH to a furniture showroom isn't easy, getting him to choose new stuff is near on impossible! I hope you fare better.

Nanto - that's a lovely graphic - nice and cheery.

Oma - I can't believe you've got all that done in the time when I'm either still snoring my head off or only half awake! For goodness sake put your feet up, lass, at least until the GCs come at tea time.

Oma,Oma,Oma you put me to shame. Our walls haven’t been painted for years. Please stop with the decorating and cleaning. It makes me feel so inadequate.

Mimi I can see your halo from here.

Gem I hope your sofa hunting went well. Our furniture is showing signs of wear but I’ve just bought a couple of rhrows.

Hi ladies just managed a little bit of WiFi in the bedroom, and that’s not a metaphor, getting WiFi is hopeless here in the valleys
The week last week didn’t get any better on Friday we set off for Wales and what was going to be a 3 hour journey became 6 hrs , we can get on the motorway in 5 mins where we live but it took 2 hours on it to go 24 miles a lorry had shed its load of offal yes offal but that had happened at 7 in the morning, but what with it being a Friday and a bank holiday it was a nightmare, still we got here , cottage is lovely we didnt venture far Saturday as we wanted to get our bearings , Sunday it chucked it down so we had lunch at the Black Lion and a ride to Colwyn Bay, your right Daisy not too welcoming but they are spending money on it so hopefully it will get better , but no fish shop couldn’t believe a seaside resort didn’t have a fish shop on the front , found one in a back street but shut on a bank holiday Sunday. We didnt want any but were checking for another day as we are only 5 mls from the coast
Today we did a bit of retail therapy as all the attractions are so busy we thought would leave it till after the bank holiday, Daisy we checked on the slate mines you mentioned but it’s £40 for the two of us I couldn’t justify that , tomorrow going up Great Orme but by tram , so chilling out nicely we did as soon as we got here bye for now

Qwerty, lovely to hear from you
The photos are lovely. Keep enjoying your holiday, better weather this week I think.
Oma does so much work before I am even up!
Clover, our 3 seater sofa will have to make do with throws, we are only replacing the 2 seater!
Nan2, we had scampi the other night. I hadn't had it for years and really enjoyed it.
Someone needs to nag GJ to get over here! I send out the weekly newsletters I can do no more

Well we went to 4 stores. Saw various salespeople and sat on lots of sofas. Then we ended up buying the first one we tried!!
It is a mid brown faux suede, a fabric neither of us would have thought we liked! It is so comfy, and is half price, and because we told him it was down to that one and one in Sofology, he knocked more off the price. We are happy, and will have our new sofa at the end of November. We could have had manual reclining in a couple of weeks, but we wanted the electric type.
We then went to M&S for coffee as OH had more free coffee vouchers which her friend had given her.

Qwerty - glad you arrived safely in spite of the difficult journey. What a pity the slate mines are so expensive. When you go up the Great Orme it's absolutely compulsory to take a piece of cardboard to slide down on! I used to love doing that as a child. Although, come to think about it, I never saw many adults doing it!!

Gem - it sounds as though you got everything you wanted in a sofa, and a bargain as well! You'll be zooming up and down on it in no time.

Nanto - Real chips, scampi, mushy peas - what heaven is made of. <drooling smiley> I hope your OH is right about the temperatures in the 30s in September. I'm missing the heatwave already.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2 we will be holding your OH to that bit of news so tell him to be warned if it doesn’t happen, there is nothing like a gang of annoyed nana’s on the rampage!

Gem a succesful sofa hunt and at a knockdown price, a good day’s work I think!

Not entirely sure what I am going to do today. OH is going to town to get some wood stain for the garden bench and I might, I repeat might, get that hot flat hussy thing out and smooth it over some clothes. Might need a health and safety check on it first remembering what has gone before where accidents are concerned with this very dangerous item .

Have a a good day everyone
