      Hi Nan2😊
Oma, not golf so much as catching world cup matches when she can 🙄
Having a fab time though, will write about it in my journal when I get back!

Oh b****r! I whacked my little toe on the leg of a chair last night. Today it is a dark shade of purple and my foot is swollen. I can only wear walking sandals and we are going to a posh do tomorrow. This could be a tad inelegant. I am going to have to buy some soft sandals I think.
Enough of my woes! How dare I when you people have woes of your own.
Catching up when I can, in between being OHs gofer. 🙄 and the cat’s slave. She is currently glaring at me through the patio doors. She thinks if she glares hard enough I will open them and let her in so she doesn’t have to walk the few steps to her cat flap. 😾
        she is correct.
        Sleep tight all.

Ouch! Grauntie, very painful I bet. Elevate it to help with the swelling, hope you manage to find some comfy shoes.

Good night everyone. I've just got back from dog training class, shattered! So I'll catch up in the morning.

I hope everyone gets to sleep despite it still being quite warm.

A misty start to the day. Starting to clear now.
I think today is predicted to be the hottest day so far.

                Grauntie, ouch for the toe.

Menu for today, hubby has asked for a salad with chicken.
It will be a cheese omelette for me.

First job today, will be the ironing, before it gets too warm.

Have a good day one and all.

                  Good moaning each.
Thank you for the toe sympathy. I will elevate it at every opportunity. 😆
General duties today with a little sewing, hopefully.
                  Have a good day, all.

Good morning everyone - I hope you're all enjoying this amazing summer weather. Even if you don't like the heat, it's an excuse to sit in a shady spot with a good book.

Grauntie, your poor toe. I do hope you can find some soft sandals to wear for your do today. It's never a good time to have a bashed up toe, but when you want to look your elegant best it's not fair! Did you get any sewing done?

Oma - I bet you're shattered after all your travels yesterday, but it sounds great fun - I wish I could have come with you! How is GD today? I hope her spots aren't troubling her too much.

Nanto - lemon drizzle cake ..... mmmmmm, yummy!

Gem - I hope you're heading for another hard day by the pool! I could just do with a week of no cooking, and a lovely pool to lounge round at the moment!

I've got to take the blood pressure machine back to the surgery today. I don't know what happened the day I saw the nurse, but ever since all the readings have been fine, but they forgot to test something when I last had a blood test, so while I'm out I'll go down to the hospital and get that done - non-fasting fortunately. Then I've got a huge pile of the dreaded ironing to do.

I think it might be one of 'those' days. I let Eva out into the garden first thing and noticed a big branch off a neighbour's massive half dead conifer had fallen over the fence and into our garden. It just missed a newly planted cornus, but I don't see how we can get to it to saw it off without trampling on something. It will need a chainsaw, I think! Then Eva was all over the place. Something was obviously going on out at the front that made her unhappy (no idea what!) I was too distracted by the tree to really take on board how upset she was and gave her her breakfast. She gobbled up the meat and then swallowed a whole lamb trachea without chewing it! I'm just waiting to see what happens next!

Plant - how are the new plants you put in your garden doing in this hot weather?

Another hot hot day. We usually go th the Heart Club gym on a Wednesday but this morning DH looked very tired. I said we wouldn’t go but he dug his heels in and said we should. However when we got there I spoke to one of the nurses who agreed with me and managed to persuade him not to exercise today. We think it’s the effect of the chemo kicking in but he just won’t give in...he’s had to now and drinking lots too.

The garden is looking very dry, grass going brown too. I hate to say it but I wish it would rain overnight and make everything fresher. Can’t take the heat like I used to,

Afternoon ladies , been shopping all morning , nothing nice just food shopping ,
Went to several shops Asda ,Sainsburys, Aldi , came home had lunch then off to Tesco that is at the other side of the city near the coast , so don't go often but its the only place I can get certain things I wanted ,

Not much sleep last night I went up and tried but for some reason my back started to pain and I couldn't get comfy ,
Then B decided to snore !!! he never snores usually but boy did he drive the bulls home last night ,so I got up and pottered around , went up at 6am and back down at 8 am so im really tired and have a headache now the heat isn't helping .

Enfys the fatigue after Chemo flattens them B said its hard to describe your body just feels so heavy and exhausted even when they have done nothing so your right to make him rest poor man .

Daisy poor Eva did you find out what was upsetting her ?

GM hope you manage to look elegant today

Nanto we have done all this shopping today and we have said we will just have Omelette for tea its too hot for anything else , although I do have some nice Salmon fillets I could do with Jerseys if we can be bothered

Daisy, plants looking okay, they are under an apple tree so in shade a lot of the day and I am keeping them watered. Tided up the courtyard this morning before it got too hot, now watching tennis. Andy plying about 4p.m. GD2's boyfriend is arriving about 4p.m. they have both finished their courses and have moved out of their flats. DD and SIL are having amazing weather in Wales. I am cooking dinner for GD1, she is at work atm, we are having gammon, cabbage, carrots etc. GD1 has a meal deal for her and her BF.

Enfys, very wise of your OH to decide not to push himself today.

Grauntie, hope the toe is less painful today.

Daisy, pleased to hear BP recording was okay, keep it up. It must have been the White Coat Syndrome that sent it up.

                              Afternoon ladies.
A quick pop in from me just to say hello. Our niece has just treated us to lunch in a local hostelry so are now all flopped out recovering.
We had a nice walk in the cool woods in the morning, returning by the common. On the way we noticed what we thought was a bonfire near some houses but then realised it was getting bigger and people were shouting. It seemed to be spreading fast so I rang 999 and reported it to the fire brigade. They already knew about it but better safe than sorry. As we were leaving the area the fire engine arrived.
What an exciting life I lead, dialling 999 indeed

Afternoon all . We went to town today so the OH could choose some new glasses , what a performance ! The day before he had looked on line to see what he would like so when we got there he asked the assistant about them , after about 10 mins searching they decided there didn't have them in stock and she could order them for him. OK he said and while she was midway through ordering them he had wander off to look at the display and came back clutching a pair of glasses . "I'll have these instead "he said so she asked him would he like vaifocals , "Yes" , no "I have changed my mind , I don't think I will " "Oh I don't know perhaps I will " ..... "No , I've changed my mind again , I won't have vaifocals "
It was then I gave him 'One of my looks' !
Then the silly woman said it was buy one , get one free......Oh no not more choice I thought. OH then disappeared for about 5 mins choosing sunglasses . When eventually it was all sorted and all OH had to do was pay I went and stood outside and waited....and waited....
I went back into the shop only to find that as soon as OH's card was placed into the machine the whole system went down ! After a lot of turning things off and turning them on again it was eventually sorted. The whole process took over an hour from start to finish !

In the space off 10 mins I managed to buy some wrapping paper, went to Boots to buy some foundation , then I went to Debenhams to return a men jacket and then but some undies for me !

                                How is everyone today

Grauntie how is the toe, it sounds painful

Enfys its good your OH is pushing himself but some times it can be too much. We have had very hot temperatures these last few days and it can drain his energy levels.

                                Keep yourselves cool ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
