Good evening everyone.
We're back from a lovely day with DS1 and family plus other relatives and friends - quite a gathering! It was lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. We had a good journey back, which was a bonus!
Gem - glad you've arrived safely.
Oma - that lad of yours is going to be a footballing legend - huge 'well done' to him.
Aggie - I hope the bird escaped safely! They don't half panic and flutter round in the house. How was the Month Mind Mass, if you don't mind me asking?
Libra - take it easy, what with all the worry and now the hot weather, don't beat yourself up doing stuff around the house - it can wait till you move. xx
Plant - did you and your GD enjoy the film?
Qwerty - welcome back!!! Now take it easy - apart from the GransRus weekly news I bed most of your emails can remain unread!Relax and enjoy this glorious weather my dear! x
Enfys - here's wishing you another good night's sleep tonight. A quiet day was the best idea!

On of the benefits of living in a bungalow is that the bedrooms are not stuffy and we have cavity foam and that keeps the house temp down in hot weather. Hope you and B are able to catch up with your lack of sleep Oma.
Daisy, you asked if we enjoyed the film, I gave it some thought and decided that on the whole it was interesting. It was very dark at the beginning and dodged about a lot. The story was about his life after he left Reading Jail and his friends took him off to France to live. It was written by Rupert Everett, produced by him and starred him. I asked GD if she enjoyed it and she replied, I don't like Rupert Everett. DD, SIl are having a great time in Wales, lucky with the weather. Bowls for me today, if I can get a lift.
Qwerty, lovely to have you back, hair will soon grow back.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Hi friends thank you for the welcome back I feel like I’ve been on holiday , still have hair and the blue air is clearing away and I no longer feel I have had my left arm amputated .
Not much to report I had a lovely sleepover on Friday night at DD, her OH has a motorbike and once a year he goes up to Scotland with other mad bike riders , in all this heat in leathers phew, so we watched the Greatest Showman and loved it the music was stupendous , we had Doritos and dips, popcorn, Maltesers midget gems loads of rubbish and a couple of G and Ts slept well. Eldest goes to swimming lessons on a Saturday so we took her and I saw to her whilst mum went to the gym side of things, I was amazed she’s learning the butterfly she has no fear of water or the depth she’s swimming in, so had a nice coffee watching her and my Dd in a window above the pool on her treadmill . In the afternoon g/ d was going to a hot tub birthday party 🤔 the other side of the city , it wa a 3 hr long party so we went off to Matalan she needed some holiday clothes as they are away in a month, we were close to a stately home we have here in Leeds and had every intention of having a walk round but the Brown Cow beckoned and we ended up having a coffee, lager shandy and chips and bumped into other mums whose children were ar the party a lovely time was had all round
Sunday was a bbq at DS which was fab never had prawn cooked on a Bbq , just have to stop writing as it’s beginning to sound like a journal I will return 🤐

Hello ladies.I’m back briefly before my visitor arrives when I shall be busy again going out and about with her.
I’ve been popping in whilst away so know a bit about what’s been going on, but not sure when I can catch up properly. I just hope everyone is jogging along nicely. I was pleased to see Enfys OH is coping well apart from one hiccup.
We had a lovely time at DD’s. Due to a slight change of plan I was able to see GD’ s performance of Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz twice. Utterly biased of course but she was brilliant. She has a lovely singing voice and as someone said,a great stage presence.I was so proud of her,my eyes moistened
She had to sing a solo while being the only one on stage and then still singing walk down the aisle into the audience. All the rehearsals were were while she was doing GCSE s so she coped very well.
Must dash now ,lots to do.Try to keep cool and enjoy your day
P.S.Just added a couple of photos of GD to my media.Last edited by Clover; 25-06-2018, 09:48 AM.

I watched the England match yesterday , oh yes I did , and thought about , your boy and football and wondered if one day he could be there , they are mostly a young team I would be bursting with pride and you must both be one day wait and see ⚽️🥅

Just a quick 'good morning' from me. I've updated on my OH's eye treatment today in the OH's Health thread.
Clover - welcome back. It sounds as though there's a star in the making in your family. How lovely that you were able to watch her show.
Qwerty - I love your 'girly night in' with your DD. This is where mothers os sons lose out a little, I think, but so gald you enjoyed that, and watching your water baby.
Plant - the film sounds like a 'one man production', but perhaps Oscar Wilde is someone he felt strongly about. Sometimes, interesting is better then 'good'! I hope you getyour lift this afternoon. Lucky family getting sunshine like this in Wales!
Oma - I bet you can't wait for tomorrow and having GD again. xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
