Enfys , a PCC line is like a Hickman line so much easier than constant canula's , but watch out for infections , If P starts to shake after his lines are cleaned out or feel sick let them know B ended up in intensive care twice because of line infections , although the PICC lines usually only stay in as long as hes having treatment where B had his lines in over 3 years , Twice having them removed and new ones put in ,
Will you be cleaning them yourself or the hospital ?

Its scary at first but you do get the hang of it so don't worry if they ask you to learn

Enfys, sounds like a lot to take in and you are feeling it more that your OH. Do try to get some rest today, try taking a couple of paracetamol to help you sleep, it is mental rest you need.

A lot to take in Enfys, but it's so good that your OH is taking things in his stride!
Oma has a lot of experience, so will be a support to you I'm sure. I hope you can catch up on your sleep.

All good at the dentist for my mum. She seemed to have convinced herself that she would have to go to the dental hospital (just because her friend did!) when in fact it was simply two small fillings replaced. We were out, paid and waiting on a bench for OH to come back for us within 15 minutes!

We didn't get in the garden. While hubby was out this morning,i started doing something inside.
When he came back,he was busy in the shed.
Then, we had a little bit of drizzle, but looked like it was going to rain heavily, but it didn't.
Hopefully, will get in the garden tomorrow.

Gem,you sound a bit better. hope you can get sandals in a bigger size.
Mimi, hope your sister will be better for Liverpool.

Good to hear Gem , sounds like she worked herself up for nothing
            How's the cold ?

I have been going to put some netting on the fence to tie the apple tree branches onto for support ( Patio size tree) all day but its been a funny day again wet one minute dry the next ,
I have a headache with lack of sleep so I will leave it now till after we come from Hospital visit tomorrow

B has a bit Graft V Host at the minute showing as a dry patch on his face and aching joints so I have a feeling we will be back to weekly visits till it clears again , Never ends but could be worse

Good afternoon, everybody. I promise I haven't just got up!!

Enfys - I hope you get a good night tonight and that things will look better in the morning. I'm so pleased P is coping well, but remember, you're entitled to have wobbles - and that's what we're here for. xxx

Gem - I read somewhere that hay fever is really bad this year - even people who have never had it before are suffering. I do hope it's all cleared up before Sunday. Did you change your sandals? Glad your mum was ok.

Oma - I hope you aren't back to weekly hospital visits again! xx

Plant - how was the WI meeting - hope you didn't doze off.

I hope all the sleep-deprived people have a good night tonight! Perhaps watching a bit of the football (with the sound low) would help send you to sleep.

I went for my annual MOT at the surgery this morning. Everything was fine, except my BP, which was sky-high. So I've got a BP machine on loan for a week and have to do 3 checks a day. She didn't say whether to do it before or after wine!! OH and I then went on to the opticians to collect new glasses, and I popped in to Mountain Warehouse for a pair of walking trousers with zip-off legs. We got a good welcome from Eva when we got home, so a just threw my handbag on the half landing to giver her a cuddle, and left it there. The next thing, she was running round the house with my brand new prescription sunglasses! She never takes things that aren't hers, and fortunately they were in a hard case. I put the case on a table and turned round - and she'd got them again. I've now put them in my car (without the case) and given the case to her!

OH starts his injections for macular degeneration on Monday - he's not looking forward to it, but I'm sure he will be a brave little soldier on the day.

Daisy, same goes for OH, when he starts his injections.
                Enfys,hope you get some sleep.

Daisy,i'm surprised they didn't start you on tablets straight away.
They did me,when i had to stay in hospital.

WI was good it was a talk from a gentleman who won Gardener of the Year (not on now), he brought loads of pics. and talked about how the programme was put together. He and his wife support a project in Africa for children and all his fees go to that. He brought plants for us to buy. Spent the afternoon enjoying my GGS, not walking yet but definitely saying words New washing machine being delivered tomorrow, washing building up.

I hope the non-sleepers have a good night, including me this time.

Nanto - I take a very low dose Candestartan already. The diastolic number was fine, but the systolic was high. I don't suppose the nurse can change prescriptions without me seeing the doctor. I'll see what they say when I take the machine back next week.

Plant - I remember the Gardener of the Year programme. It was quite interesting, but part of the judging was things like making chutneys etc and flower arranging. I would have liked to have seen more about the actual planning, growing and tending of the plots. I bet it was really interesting to hear about it from the inside, and how lovely that it has helped them to support a charity. I bet it won't be long before GGS is walking! I hope it's fine for all your washing tomorrow.

Sorry Daisy, I might have confused you. The final five gardens were built in the Botanical Garden in Birmingham and left there for a year, it is a long time ago.

Hope all the hospital visits go well. I think some of us need MOTs & repairs. Wouldn't it be good if it was that easy. OH came back to bed 4am as he'd fallen asleep in the chair. Personally I think it's hay fever. He takes a tablet when he feels like it. I start mine early in the yr til the hay fever season's finished. Nighty night all. Hope you all have a good day tomoro.

Hope all those feeling under the weather, feel better soon.

Plant - hahaha - I'm easily confused! The ones in the Botanic Gardens are in a different league, I'm sure!!! Enjoy your new washing machine!

Good morning. It's a beautiful sunny start to the day here, and I'm going to take Eva for her walk and then off to lunch with friends from College. I missed last month's get together, so lots to catch up on.

Nana - did your doggy think it was time for walkies since it was getting light?

Oma - I hope B's hospital visit goes well - lucky he is able to go on his own in the circumstances.

Enfys - how are you today? Sending hugs. xxx
