Good morning, very sunny and warm again here. Long range forecast for next week is v.hot!

First chemo today.......he had piccline fotted yesterday and they showed us all around where he will be today. Very bright airy department, large separate bays with comfy armchairs for patients and chairs for visitors. Music playing softly in background, a nice atmosphere, we were impressed. All is set in place so we will be off after lunch. Have iPads, kindle, magazines etc to keep us occupied. I can wander up to the big Tesco nearby if I fancy a break. Fingers crossed it all goes well.

have a good day everyone 🌞

      Morning ladies ,
Plant im the same as Gem , 1 hour for a heavy full load 30 for lights and lightly soiled , lets face it we don't really get that dirty at our age to warrant a 2 hour wash do we

Enfys there is a lot of sitting around involved and its amazing how tired you get doing that , I found having a wander to the shop or café in the hospital helped and always having something with you to do ,
Depending how long the treatment takes we would take lunch too as B didn't like what they had on offer ,
Let us know how it goes xxx

GM your peace will be shattered
Gem how lovely to be able to chat to DD im sure you will feel better being able to see her face

Well I was so tired yesterday having little lady and no sleep the night before that I was in bed at 10pm and didn't wake till 7.30am ,
Feel a bit heavy headed sleeping so long but I really needed it ,
Doesn't help I have had to take Antihistamines because of the pollen count that make me drowsy ,
Going no where today we have Storm so apart from a little walk I don't have to go out , although he's happy if we don't go for a walk lazy dog

Have a good day ladies ,
Im not fat just 6ft too small

          Morning all

Enfys I hope today goes well. How many treatments is he having .

Grauntie it will be nice to have OH back home. When you mentioned the bamboo I thought for one moment you must be our neighbours who live at the back of us. When I was in the garden I heard them discussing about having to trim it back. At the moment it is doing battle with the neglected over grown wisteria plant and they are both trying to invade our garden .OH has to cut it back almost once a week other wise we would loose the whole of our back fence .We have bamboo in a planter that way I can control it !

The visit to OH's sister went well and she is making a good recovery . We are going for a meal with her and her OH on Saturday to discuss our up and coming Liverpool trip. What with her back and my hip we with make quite a sight

Bit of a lazy day for me today . Tesco has been and in a while I am going to get lunch I am cooking cod in a lemon and herb sauce. Its a recipe from OH heart foundation cookbook . Hope he likes it.

Hope you all have a great day
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Morning ladies, apologies for absence but seem to spend the majority of my t time chasing paperwork. Their solicitors wanted the Fenza certificates and other paperwork for double glazing. Heavens knows why as the guarantee on all but the front and back doors are well out of guarantee. Still I suppose they have to dot all the i's and cross all the t's 😲 B has been down in Devon since Wednesday so just me and the dogs, he is home tomorrow thank goodness. Not much fun cooking for one,I will not bother tonight will just settle for scrambled eggs on toast. Enyfs fingers crossed for you OH today, and hoping he doesn't suffer to many side effects. Oma I saw your pics she's a gorgeous little girl. But no wonder you slept well 😁 you forget how full on they are.Plant enjoy your new washer, I was told the newer machines are more efficient that's why the washer take so long, only use really hot wash for towels/t towels etc and my new machine takes 3 hours 😮 everyday stuff I do on 40 synthetics and that takes a good 1.5 to complete. Dogs were walked before it got to hot, now sleeping sprawled on the floor, well Till y half under the coffee table, her usual place. Matt is calling in to set up my new mobile for me,bless him. Hope you all get to enjoy the sun, certainly has been a flaming June for a change. Just got and hang out some more washing, treated myself to some new nighties and I like to wash them first. I always think whose hands might have touched the in the shop, funny old thing me. 😁

Nanto - what an eye-catching graphic this morning! Love it. Well done on getting more sleep.

Libra - the paperwork seems endless, doesn't it. I'm always grateful OH keeps all those sorts of bits and pieces, and he can always find them. I hope you can get all your bits of information together ok. Eva's not too keen on this weather. I got delayed this morning, and by the time I was ready it was too hot for a walk, even in the Forest. I'll take her tonight, although like Storm, she doesn't look for walkies every day!

Plant - the programmes on my washing machine vary from 3 hrs to about 40 mins. The time is shorter with the lower temperatures, but I almost never use a 3 hr programme. Whereabout on Anglesey is the family going? When we had a static van (for about 15 years) we had it on a small farm at Llanellian. in the north-east, near to Amlwch harbour. Our van overlooked Porth Lynas lighthouse with fabulous views of the bay.

Grauntie - I hope OH realises how hard you've been slaving away while he's been on his golfing jolly! Well done on conquering the bamboo - I'm sure it will soon recover.

Enfys - thinking about you and P. I do hope everything goes well today - it sounds as though the hospital to everything they can to look after both P and you.

Mimi - glad your sister-in-law is making good progress. By the time you go on your trip to Liverpool you'll both be running round like spring lambs. Yum, lunc sounds delicious as well as being healthy. I'm on my way!!!

Gem - I hope your OH enjoys her competition today, and GS2 manages to get his nap. It will be lovely to have a video call from DD3. Do tell her all us grannies are looking forward to hearing about her adventures. xx

Avo - I'm sure the Pilates class will be fine. Have you done Pilates before? A friend of mine swears by it but even though she's been going for years she can't always "find" her core! I'm sure I'd get disheartened, but it is very good for you, isn't it.

Hope the chemo goes well Enfys, my husband used to have his chemo treatment in the evening.

Thanks for all your posts about washing machine times and temp. I feel a lot clearer now.

The class went well, I enjoyed it. Didn’t hang around at the end, but did chat to a few people at the beginning. Hubby went to the gym nearby so we travelled together there and back no point in taking two vehicles! Cleaned out the summer house this afternoon, there were some pretty big spiders in there 😱

There is a 4hour programme on our washer, but never used it.
I use the 30 minute programme quite a lot,as our clothes don't gat that dirty.
For towels and t-towels i use a hot wash that takes 1.20.

Avo, pleased the new class went well.

Avo - pleased your class went well - you will gradually get to know people. Did hubby enjoy his gym session? Oh dear, I bet there are a lot of homeless spiders roaming round your garden tonight, unless the unthinkable happened .........

Plant - the zip wire might be the one Oma's B went on when he was raising money for the cancer unit at his hospital! My DS1 and family went on it a couple of weeks ago and said it was amazing. Qwerty - this is also near Colwyn Bay where you are going to! Dare you!!!! :

I have had a day of getting nothing much done, except directing OH while he balanced precariously at the top of a ladder trying to removed huge spiders' webs from the velux windows in the kitchen ceiling! There must be an easier way than perching on a step ladder with a feather duster taped to a pole!!!

I didn't intend to take all the fridge magnets off the kitchen fridges and clean all the outsides of them - but I did! I didn't intent to scrub the cloakroom floor - but did. I didn't intend to clean all the nooks and crannies of the living room, but I did. Why do I do these stupid things!

Well done to your DD being offered the job Plant.

I had a lovely long chat with DD3 on video call so lovely to see and speak to her.
GS was a very good boy and went down for an early nap. I had to wake him to go for GD though. He played outside most of the day and he and GD had their tea in the garden.
