Making a roast beef dinner today. Eldest coming with youngest grandaughter.
Joint is in the slow cooker.

Have some bramley apples and some rhubarb to cook for pies an crumbles.
Will bake one for today,the rest will be frozen.

Morning all, We have had some rain in the night, the garden needed it. Nothing planned, might do some gardening if it stays fine. GD2 and GS2 are coming today, they drift in and out, I think GD will be here for a week before she goes to a wedding Morocco, a place I have always wanted to visit, then she has to get her head down to find a job. GS1 and family are attending a wedding in Italy, he had an operation on the ligaments in his shoulder before they went so is back in a sling.

Hope your week isn't too arduous Enfys, is that the start of the chemo?

Well Dog was picked up by SIL's Father at 9.30 , so I tidied all his toys away and cleaned his bowls , he will be with them till tomorrow night now when our lot come home ,
J played 3 games yesterday won 2 lost 1 but DD said heat is so intense all the clubs are wilting and tired most are not used to playing in such hot weather ,

I then washed the floors and popped to DD's to see to cats , one had thrown up all over their new pale grey sofa ,
As luck would have it it was very powdery sick so cleaned off ok but not what I was wanting to do on a Sunday morning ,

DS on his way over, well he SAID on his way what that could mean is anytime between now and never , we will see

Very tiring weekend for GS1, playing in that heat Oma. Do they have to pay their own expenses? Hope your DS turns up with the children of course.

No GS1 was with Sunderland AFC but DD& SIL had to pay for everything , Flights accommodation etc

Afternoon been on forum this morning but didn’t get to come on here, we are our for tea courtesy of DD Bella Italia , DS in Teeside with in laws it’s his fil birthday today so they are out to lunch
Enfys try and keep your strength up this week ,you will need it hope it will be ok for P
Oma playing 3 games must be exhausting but 2 out of three ain’t bad my head would have been banging
Make that three places Nan2 extra yorkshire puds needed

DS came almost on time too

GS1 playing in the finals its just kicked off , DD sent a video you can see the heat rising from the seats in the stadium ,
Been a funny sort of day it doesn't know what it wants to do rain or shine

They finished winning today they are now 5th in the league vert tired kids but happy , they fly home tomorrow get back about 9pm Plant wont go back to school till Tuesday

Well, DD called in with GD for a couple of hrs. She gave him a lovely homemade card. Daddy & GS had 'man' time at an event up the rd. Held off raining but dull.

Where's GSs match Oma? Do I remember you said abroad? Hope his team do well. Enfys I hope you & P have a productive week's visit to the hospital.

Hey Nan2 you nearly had a busload of us turning up for lunch. 😉 Would you mind telling me how you cook your joint in the slow cooker ....in the cooking section please? Do you brown it off in the oven afterwards?

Enfys, a busy week indeed for the hospital visits,but needs must. Hope all goes well.

Plant,we had a short visit to Morocco a few years ago. only had ½ a day there,while we were on a cruise.
Liked what we saw though.
Hope GS1 is recovering.

Oma,2 out of 3 isn't bad going. well done to the team.

Had 3 extra visitors for dinner. Eldest GD called to see her dad. Her partner and his little girl came with her,so they stayed to eat.I'm pleased i did a large joint.
