Welcome back Qwerty. I know what you mean about doing too much and forgetting our age.I did that last year In Florida. I learned my lesson!I hope your injuries are better soon.
Yes, I think you will be needed as assistant Nan2. I get those fun jobs too.
Plant, I wish you weren't shut indoors! As you say, It is nice to be asked rather than assume you have no plans!

I have been planting out some of the tubs with bedding plants I bought yesterday. OH wants to do the hanging basket so I will leave that to her. It's too hot now, so that is all for today, I will do some more tomorrow. I am going to send the minutes out, then have my lunch in the garden (under a parasol!)

Very hot here too. Been out to supermarket for shopping, went early so it wasn’t busy.m DH is going to bowling this afternoon, the first time in about 5 months, he’s looking forward to it. An afternoon on my own......πŸ˜€, I’ll say no more!!

Plant, it was sort of taken for granted that we would look after DDs doggie whilst she is at work...it’s only two afternoons but even so..... When they first got him I was talking to SIL about how they probably wouldn’t be able to go on holiday abroad now they had a dog, his reply was....Well, you can have him!! I told him in no uncertain terms that no, We wouldn’t. I don’t mind a couple of afternoons but two whole weeks, no way!!

Afternoon ladies , its very hot here. We sat outside eating our lunch under the shade of the parasol .
I had to do some ironing with the hot flat hissy thing this morning and then I went to the library. I then had to do some hand washing ! Its a good job its hot and sunny outside as its just dripping on the line at the moment.

Welcome back Qwerty hope your aches and pains are getting better.

Is anyone going to watch the Royal Wedding on Saturday . I'm sort of undecided at the moment, I'm not a big fan of the royal family , I usually tend to ignore most of the things they do but I would like to see her dress and who is actually at the wedding but on the other hand Saturday is the day my new machine is being delivered so I may be busy .

Have a relaxing afternoon every one
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I will try and watch the Royal Wedding, I prefer to have Royal Family than a President but after the Fergie and Dianna events, I did wonder. I have been outside with the kitten for some time, did some weeding but you have to have eyes in the back of your head, actually he doesn't stray far, still a bit nervous of things outside but I do feel responsible. He is asleep now and DD will be home soon.

Welcome back Qwerty, sounds like a good time was had by all.

I might get to see some of the Royal wedding, Just so i can see everyones outfits.
We usually go shopping on a saturday, but it's mam and dads anniversary,so some of us are putting a bit of a do on.
Will need to go shopping locally, for some fresh stuff., for sandwiches.

I decided to wash down all my plastic window frames and patio doors inside and clean all the windows , then helped B in the garden fill some of the tubs with Gravel and soil , still need more , then hosed everything down ,
Wont put plants in till we have all we need , noticed one of our two remaining patio apple trees was looking very poorly , its never done as good as the other one so we decided to bin it ,
Its a lot cooler in the garden now so easier to work in

Just grabbing a quick couple of minutes with a cuppa. I may not get to read everyone's posts, especially as cooper thinks I should be playing with him, and GD2 thinks I should be playing with her.

Plant at least the kitten will be able to be more independent when he's a bit older (unless he's an indoor cat, of course!). I don't mind having the family's dogs when they go away, but at least I can provide them with a playmate/supervisor in the shape of Eva!!

I doubt I'll be watching the Wedding - unless it's pouring with rain. Hopefully it won't be. But, as Plant says I'd much rather have our Royal family than a President!

Qwerty - glad you're back safe and sound and the bruises are going. I do hope your neck is ok, though. Do get it checked out if it isn't. At least your DD's elderly doggy probably won't want much exercise or fuss - elderly dogs sleep a lot.

After much nagging (loud nagging) OH got his hearing tested a few weeks ago and walked out of Specsavers with very discreet hearing aids the same day, courtesy of the NHS - free. They work really well as long as he remembers to wear them. I think I need to get my hearing tested too, and I will get round to it one day! For mild to moderate hearing loss they recommend trying the NHS ones first. There are other options, obviously at a cost, but for many people the NHS ones work really well.

Nanto - I'm sure your Mam andDad will enjoy their anniversary do - how many years is it?

I'll try and get back later - or in the morning, depending how the day goes!

Qwerty, be careful with your neck. Poor thing. I'm pleased it all went well other than the fall. It's the shock that gets you I find.

I heard the other day that Megan's dad might not be coming over now & that her mum might be walking her down the aisle. (Perhaps there's already a thread on the wedding. I don't know?).

Will write in my diary later on re hearing test. Might need advice. Hope you've all enjoyed the sunshine.😎

All this talk of nagging OH’s into having a hearing test sounds very familiar. My OH has hearing loss in one ear,I know it but he vehemently denies it. β€œI hear what you say” is his excuse but I say β€œYes. to you that was the first time I said it but it was in fact the third”

Mine repeats what 5 minutes earlier I told him or said and he insists I didn't say it or I mumbled it ,
It drives me mad , he has Tinitus anyway but insists his hearing is fine .

I will say ,ive just said that!!! and he has this blank look on his face the amount of times I roll my eyes they should be like spinning tops
