    Good afternoon all .

Oma, are you listening to Plant ?

Just had a Tesco grocery delivery so I am OK for unexpected visitors....now don’t all invade me at once !

Just spent a few hours in the garden and it is so nice to have a neighbour who is tidying up her garden as well . Most neighbours around here just grow dandelions , daisies broken bikes and odd black plastic bin liners . She lives above us and we let her use our outside tap to save her having to keep going upstairs for water. Her sweet peas are coming on better than mine so we are going to swap her sweet peas for a tomato plant as I have more than I need. So nice to have someone like that living so close. My neighbour over the road from us has the nastiest, foul mouthed moron neighbour living below her.

Its OH birthday today so tomorrow we are going to the theatre as a treat . I booked the tickets a few weeks ago. We are really looking forward to it.

Hope all is well with everyone, enjoy what is left of the day
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Most people around us look after their gardens luckily. Nice to share plants. Have a lovely evening at the theatre.

Mimi sounds like you are having a fruitful day.

My day hasn’t gone to plan. Went to go to hairdresser and car was dead as a brick!
My neighbour is always saying if we need a lift to let her know. I hate bothering people but the only thing I could do apart from cancelling the appointment was to ask. She very kindly agreed but had to cancel a shopping trip with her Mum to take me. I felt very guilty but she said she really didn’t want to go shopping so I had to believe her. I still felt bad for her Mum who also lives near us.
I insisted I would make my own way home but it did involve two buses but that was okay.
No idea what is wrong with car, could be battery or electrics.Poor OH used to have an inkling how to fix things but the knowledge has disappeared.(I find this very hard not just the car but with a lot of things ).Anyway we have AA Homestart so will get in touch tomorrow as no great rush.

Hope everyone else’s day has gone according to plan though I know Enfys hasn’t.

Nanto, your guests were lucky to be treated to such a feast.

Clover, it always amazes me how busy our nearest McD’s is!!!

Thanks for your good wishes for our lovely GD. It's the rule of not returning to Nursery if a child has the sickness & d bug for 48hrs. She was clear today but just wanted sleep & cuddles. Got a call from her mummy around 4ish saying she was leaving work as she's started being sick.

You all sound as tho' you're busy. I wish I had the stamina.

                    Good morning all.

I think all schools and nurseries have that 48 hour exclusion rule now Nana. I hope you stay clear of the bug.
I hope your car is easily fixed Clover.

I had a nice night with my friends last night. We meet at 7,30 in pub and then go to the restaurant for a meal. The meal was booked for 8.15. The food arrived at 9.30, after we had chased it up! We were not happy, and to be fair they were most apologetic. We were given a free glass of wine (but no good to me as I wasn't drinking) and a free pud, and they knocked 30% off the bill, so they did their best. The food is very good there too. Eating late does me no good though so I have had a very bad night.
GS2 day, then to school for GD. OH is golfing so I will have to take GS to school with me,

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

We had a beautiful sunrise this morning. Just seen the local weather, and it says it will be a bit warmer than yesterday.

Our nurseries have the 48 hour exclusion rule as well.
                      Nan, hope you keep well.

Gem,we don't like eating late either. A pity you had to chase up the food.

Off to in laws soon. No cooking day,it's fish and chips for us.

I don't like eating late either Gemini, have my evening meal just after 6p.m. and my lunch about 12.30. when I am on my own.

                          Good morning ladies

Nana these bugs spread like wild fire through schools then all the parents and family gets it , hope you don't get it .

Gem shame about the lateness of the meal but they seem to have tried to make amends didn't they . I'm no good eating late either , didn't seem to bother me when I was younger but cant do it now .

Daisy hope your enjoying your mini break away

Clover hope the car doesn't cost to much .

Mimi we lucky most of our neighbours keep their gardens nice what gets me is when they don't spray the weeds on the driveways , Mostly retired people around me and I know they cant get down to dig the weeds out but a bottle of Roundup weed killer wouldn't go amiss sometimes

Well yesterday we went to Hospital same usual stuff although his immune levels are not budging so end of June another Bone marrow top up but a bigger dose this time as they have only been giving small amounts and clearly that's not enough , this is what prevents the Cancer coming back , she said some people it takes longer than others , typical it has to be him

We then went to pick up a new printer at PC World Then to pick up his electric scooter that had developed a fault it kept stopping , turned out it was a trapped wire in the battery holding

Man came out with it and said £153 . what for a trapped wire ? and in any case we only got it on September 1st last year ,

Oh he said then its still under warrenty ,
Well yes but even so that's shocking price for something that clearly was a fault on the manufacturers side as we couldn't get into the battery sealed unit could we ?
No I take your point he said but there is still labour involved fixing it , Again not our fault !!
He just couldn't grasp what I was saying so I gave in and just left him pondering some people shouldn't be left in charge of anything
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Afternoon all sorry I didn’t come on yesterday I was a bit under the weather and incredibly tired don’t know what hit me, and a shocking headache, managed to get out in the morning looking for shoes only to find they didn’t stock what I wanted , they do in some shops apparently !!!!
Managed food shop and called at DS to have a look at their new conservatory furniture so quiet with the kids at nursery can’t remember them not been there when seemed really strange, but when I got home I had to go to bed , managed to sleep 3 hrs but just felt yuk, anyway I am ok today, really ok as I heard from my neighbour that the scruffy folk next door are leaving in 2 weeks I am so euphoric over it ,, can’t get anyone worse !
Things not going your way Oma at the moment with B and the electric wheelchair but you have a new printer , what did you get as we are thinking of getting a new one ?
Nan2 when you make your ples and crumbles do you freeze them uncooked, I ve got some local rhubarb I’ve sort of stewed and froze had a glut of it
Gem that wasn’t good eating so late but it sounds like they were making amends I too would have been up half the night eating so late
Hope G/d is feeling better today Nana and mind you don’t pick it up too, we don’t seem to get over it as quick as the kids do
Clover naughty car, always lets us down at the wrong time , hope it’s fixed soon 😀

                              Good afternoon all .
Qwerty good to hear that you are feeling a little better today. When we used to grow rhubarb I used to freeze the surplus . I would wash and dry the sticks and then cut then into about inch lengths and then 'open' freeze' them on a tray, not letting them touch if possible . When they are completely frozen they can be tipped into a freezer bag and you can then use as little or as much as you want. There is no need to defrost the rhubarb prior to cooking.

Oma £153 for a trapped wire !!! Goodness what it would have cost for something major . What printer did you get . I brought a wireless one, its supposed to be the worlds smallest printer , apparently. It sits quite happily on the table in the spare room .

I didn't get to the vets today as I had yet another migraine , rebooked the appointment for Monday. We are off to the theatre this evening
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

I always freeze my pies and crumbles uncooked. I have some rhubarb in the freezer.
                                Don't have any blackberries left.

Oma, dad has an electric scooter, and he always says they charge high prices, because they know folk will pay, because they don't want to be without the scooter.
