Nana , we inherited Magic too , he was terrified of being out of his cage at first and wouldn't come near us but gradually we won him around , didn't matter where I was in the house he would fly around till he found me and not leave me alone ,
Even brushing my teeth he would sit on my shoulder , if I lay down on the sofa for a Nana nap he slept on my head
They are noisy birds but you don't notice it after a while do you ,
He got a infection and we took him to the Vet he gave him a injection but he had a heart attack and died in my hands , , The vet said it could happen when he injected him as it was very stressful but we had no other option he would have dies anyway if he hadn't been treated

Wow,it's a warm start to the day.
I got up at 1 and made a cuppa, then sat on the patio.
Didn't get back to sleep till about 4.

      Off to in laws later.

No cooking today,we'll be having fish and chips.

Up out of bed much too early for me but was desperate for a cup of tea, virus still lingering. Going food shopping with GD1 later, sat out in the garden with family till quite late yesterday evening watching the bats flying.

Mimi, pleased you listened to your talking to, just let them get on with it.

          Good morning everyone .

Take care and rest Plant and hopefully you will feel better soon. We have bats which fly around here at night.
Not much sleep for you Nan2. Enjoy the fish and chips.
That's sad about the bird Oma
Daisy, one cat was spotted curled up in the fleece lined igloo cat bed last night!
Mum was fine, she seemed to have got over or forgotten what was bugging her when I phoned!

Friday, so GD and GS2 day.
We are going to a friends to tea tonight, invited for 6.30. As the GC don't generally leave before then, I said we will leave as soon as we can and text when we are on the way! If I tell DD I'm sure she will do her best to get back as early as possible.

          Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, ladies. Another hot, sunny day here. We're finally getting the garden to look more like we think it should! But I was glad I did a few odd jobs out there early. OH went down to the allotment and harvested the onions - a much better crop than I'd expected.

We've made the beds up for visitors staying this week-end, and now I've just got to wave the yellow thingy and the sucky up thingie round the bedrooms and then I can get on with preparing food!

Plant - do take it easy and get plenty of rest. xx

Gem - glad to hear mum is more cheerful. Glad the igloo is already popular.

Nana - poor little cockateil. But he must feel safe in his cage, and I'm sure you look after him very well. What's his name?

Oma - what a sad way to lose Magic, but vets always worry about heart attacks with birds. He gave you a lot of love, didn't he. xx

Mimi - what an interesting gentleman.

Right, coffee break over. Back to the grindstone!

              Enjoy the sunshine, everyone. xx

Morning (just). Got it wrong. OH has gone to a leaving do in Huddersfield, not golf.

Aww, Oma what a sad story about Magic. What a coincidence you inherited him too. I think it's as Daisy says, ours must feel secure in his cage. Especially with our cocker spaniel about.😱

Plant take care. Enjoy your day everyone.

Afternoon all . Its DD and SIL's wedding anniversary today 5 years have flown by so fast .

Its a very muggy day here and as I have been using that hot, flat hissy thing it feels even more muggy at the moment, perhaps that serves me right as its been almost 2 weeks since I did some ironing . Also the Tesco delivery woman arrived with the groceries whilst I was mid iron so that didn't help matters.

                  How is everyone today ?

Plant how are you feeling today

Gem good to hear that your mum is more herself today, not sure about the cat snuggled up in the igloo though , our cat is sprawled on the patio under the shade of the bamboo plant

We have got GS (7 year old ) coming to stay on Sunday but unfortunately SIL is picking him up on Monday so we won't have him for long but better than not having him at all . Surprisingly my grocery bill was just over Β£10 more than usual so perhaps its a good job he is not staying the week

                  Have a good day everyone

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Daisy, busy, busy lady, enjoy the weekend.

Mimi, buying all GS's favourite food, have and enjoyable time.

Strange virus I have, feel better after food, glands in tummy ache but not a streaming nose. Grocery shop done and had lunch, just looking in here and then I am going to watch television, too hot outside even in the shade.

Oma, your GS1 knows where he gets a good breakfast and an active lad needs his steak (which was bought for B)

Plant I hope your virus is short lived. Mimi we have our GS2 & GD staying for a sleepover on Sunday. Then Weds we have GS1 staying for a sleepover. He's roughly the same age as your GS. I just hope for cooler weather.
