You are all so kind. OH’s brother is in hospital with pleurisy, having industrial strength antibiotics pumped in. He has been very poorly. I won’t mention the rest, suffice to say some folk have had more than their share of rotten luck.
Daisy the liquorice ice cream is finished. Yes it is a fetching shade of grey. 😬 OH has done his taste test and given it the thumbs up. I will put the recipe in the appropriate place.
Still no rain here but storms expected tomorrow. Ha! We’ll see. My neighbour has been going to the beach at the end of our road to swim in the Estuary. Not for me, it reminds me of the Ganges...😖 If anyone is going to catch anything in there it’ll be me.
    Glad you are all surviving.
    Night night.

We were definitely going to have rain today but the forecast now says no rain. I didn't water the pots last evening as rain was definitely on the way.

Hope Qwerty is back on-line soon.

Good idea to have a rest Oma, are you going to wear your new dress?

Grauntie, your BIL sounds very poorly, hope things improve soon.

Shopping with GD1 today, now I have wheels I presumed she wouldn't want to take me but she seems happy to carry on and I am not going to refuse. I do buy her lunch!

              Good morning everyone.

Nanto - I hope you can take it easy after so little sleep. Don't overdo things at your in laws. Is it raining now?

Plant - we didn't expect our two short showers yesterday, so I've no idea what will happen today! I'll blow the clouds your way if you like. Enjoy your shopping and lunch with GD1.

Oma - what a social whirl you live in. Have fun. We're all waiting to see a pic of you in your new dress.

Grauntie - your poor BIL. I do hope he's soon on the mend. Everything comes at once, doesn't it. Swimming in an estuary sounds pretty dodgy to me, what with currents, tides and goodness knows what in the water.

Qwerty - just sending you a wave and blowing kisses. I hope you're back with us on Monday. xxx

Libra - how is the packing going? Have you got a moving date yet?

                Good morning everyone.

I'm glad you beat the migraine in the end Mimi.
                Get back online soon Qwerty!
I hope your BIL improves soon Grauntie.
Shopping day and lunch with GD sounds very nice Plant.
                Party, party, party Oma!
No golf for OH yesterday Daisy, so she escaped the downpour!

Rain here, heavy and thunder and lightening. I am hoping it will stop soon, as I am to follow OH to a garage a couple of miles away, to drop her car off to have the air conditioning fixed. We swelter in her car as it hasn't worked this summer. We are meeting DD and the children later at a childrens farm. Most of it is under cover, bit still, I would prefer it wasn't pouring

Have a good day all, keep dry/cool, as appropriate.
Back later, off to the garage now the rain has slowed down.

Still warm and dry here. Rain was forecast for yesterday evening but although we heard thunder rumbling around not a drop of rain. Supposed to be getting some later this evening.

Nothing planned for today but I need to sort out the shelves in the room we use as office/craft room and do some de cluttering.

Have a good day everyone 🌞

Enfys - how strange you didn't get any rain. We had two really heavy showers with just a few minutes between them. There was a bit of thunder rumbling round before that. We'll have to see what today brings.

We managed to go to the garage between storms!! As we got home the heavens opened. We had planned to look around a nearby shopping centre while the a/c was done, as it only takes an hour or so. We came straight back home! We will collect it later this afternoon, after we have been out with DD and GC.

Good morning looks like being another hot day here already. Anyone had enough of the weather yet . I would like it to cool down a little and some gentle rain at night wouldn't go a miss . My neighbour says she want it to pour down really hard but she won't be persuaded that the sort of rain does more harm than good. Crops in fields ( and flowers in my garden ) are only battered down and the rain won't soak into the hard dry ground but she won't be told. .
We have just harvested the last of the potatoes we had growing in a big planter . I haven't needed to buy potatoes for two months so not bad for 3 seed potatoes that I brought back in the spring for £3 . We are now eating our home grown tomatoes .

Grauntie hope your BIL gets well soon

Oma what is your new dress like, are you going anywhere special in it ?

Must dash I can hear Tesco delivery driver arriving .

Went to JL before going to Waitrose and came out with 2 dresses, haven't worn a dress for years, it is a sort of T shirt dress, midi length. Actually I brought two dresses home but one is going back. Had lunch at JL and then shopped in Waitrose. Trying to keep cool indoors now.
