What a busy lot we are! Enfys - your poor OH getting the day wrong. Did he eat the nibbles or bring them home? My OH has said I will make a trifle next Thursday for their Wood turning club Christmas party. He was so kind, choosing something nice and easy/ for me to do!!! I put him straight on that one.

Gem - yummy fish and chips and rice pudding. Fantastic! I quite like ice cream, but given the choice in the middle of winter the rice pud wins.

Qwerty - a day like that with your DD does you the world of good. I'm glad you had such a lovely time - and I'm sure she did too.

Mimi - you naughty siren! There you were all glammed up and missed out on your dessert. How lovely that your friend is doing so well. It must be difficult to learn to handle 'different' hair, but hers sounds beautiful.

This morning I decided there was no point in drying my hair after my shower - it was pouring with rain when I took Eva out, but actually it was a bit drier by the time I got home. So I rushed round, making some phone calls, hunting for a pair of elusive shoes - never did find them - and was left with about 5 minutes to do my hair and put some make-up on! I needn't have bothered. The rain which had stopped by then, started again, and just as my friend and I got out of the car the heavens opened and the rain was blowing off the sea horizontally. I got soaked again! But later the sun came out and it was lovely. We had a good old chat - 6 of us - and laughed a lot. When I got home I made a cuppa and went to sit down and relax with it. The next thing I knew it was dark, OH had arrived home and my tea was stone cold! LOL

Nanto - glad you escaped the snow. I think our forecast for the weekend is pretty miserable and cold, but I don't think we'll get snow.

I have been up since 5.15. There was a power cut and the house alarm went off at 4am. Reset it and had another power cut. Off it goes again. Gave up and got up. There have been six or seven mini power cuts so far. Annoying as I reset the oven clocks only a few days ago from when we came back from holiday.

Busy day today, I need to finish my safe guarding course (on line), write a section 106 document for a job that is due, cross fingers, on site Q1 next year, go to the supermarket (might stock up on candles while I am there), order the new chest of drawers, open a new account with Nationwide (savings account you can put £250 month in and get 8% interest but only for one year). Source two extra presents for the children, finish wrapping gifts, pick husband up from work (it is perishingly freezing here today) and I am sure there are lots of other things including work that will crop up.

oh well better get on......

Good morning all. Very cold here this morning but very bright and trying to be sunny.

Had a nice day yesterday, lunch out with friends. Lovely meal, and lots of chat with a great atmosphere in a cosy pub. Out this morning aa DH wants to go the shops....I’ve never known a man who likes shopping as much as DH 🙂. But it means he’s feeling so much better so that’s good. I don’t think we’ll be out long though, it’s too cold.

Good morning.As with everyone very cold here but sunny.Off to work in a few minutes and then I hope the last of the Christmas present wrapping. Oh no,just remembered some books still to be delivered.

Yesterday we went to the Senior cinema screening of “Victoria and Abdul” and enjoyed it.Then a couple of hours shopping.I intended to have a coffee but we never got round to it.

A day at home for me today, apart from walking Eva. I might start writing Christmas cards and maybe a bit of online shopping. OH is out tonight so I can also have free rein with the remote - I bet there's nothing on I want to watch!

I have a reflexology treatment today, my last of the year, I will get relaxed before having 2 GC for the night One is no trouble, in fact I would like to have her every weekend if her parents would allow it! Her cute baby brother is more work, as the poor thing suffers badly with each tooth he cuts, and they just come in one after the other! Hopefully he will have a good night. He sleeps well if not teething.
DD is bringing both children after school. I need to prepare both rooms for the overnight guests once I have had my treatment in one of them!
