Morning everyone. It’s cold here too but the biting wind seems to have dropped We’re just popping out to get a paper and post a couple of parcels and then I think we’ll follow Enfys’ example and stay in and get cosy.
Enfys ,planning for the Home Made Fair in the Summer sounds just the thing for a cold December day
Daisy, allotment planning also helps to think warmer weather will come again (Hopefully )

If you are going out somewhere nice ,enjoy yourself but keep warm. I hope everyone has a good day

Yes that’s what I mean for Nan2 to help her sleep 😴

          Good morning all.
Two little ones still here, so will read and catch up later.
Not too bad a night and all in our bed this morning with drinks, biscuits, Dengineers on TV for GD, and Hey Duggee on tablet for GS. Spoiled at Grandmas?? No way!

'Btw, Phenergan is an antihistamine, not officially a sedative, but it can make you drowsy so help sleep, as can some other antihistamines. There is one type I can't take as they make me feel tired and 'out of it' !

                  Hi again

I think Oma may be there a day or two longer Qwerty? I hope she is having a good time.
Quite a few members taking it easy today. Busy day for Daisy.
Stay in and don't fall over Mimi!
I hear Lincoln Christmas markets are lovely Nan2. Although we used to visit friends in Lincoln for many years, we never went at Christmas time.

The little ones have gone now. GD has another sleepover tonight, with DD3 who invited her. She's a popular girl!
Not too bad a night with GS2, but I am still tired! He woke at midnight and I just gave him his dummy. I offered him a drink but he wasn't interested. Woke again at 1.30, and had Calpol and a cuddle. One of his cheeks is really red and he is dribbling, with a runny nose. Always signs he is cutting a tooth. DD thinks this is the last one. I heard him a couple more time over the baby monitor during the night, but he settled himself. He woke again at 6, I returned dummy and teddy to him and he snuggled up and slept another couple of hours.

We were going to go to the ice sculpture festival in town today, but we can't be bothered LOL. It is on tomorrow so we may go then, unless the forecast snow is bad.
Off to address my Christmas cards now and put the stamps on.

Well I am going to shock you all now. I have just bought a new steam generating hissy thingie that makes things flat......... when I talked about going to four days a week we decided that we should start cutting down our financial outlay. We have had one of these big hissy things for a few years but until recently it never got used because I have an ironing fairy. To keep the cost down I have been flattening the things like table napkins, tea towels etc. So I got the thingie out today and it is dead. I have ordered one for delivery tomorrow. If I do end up being made redundant I will have to be my own fairy so might as well be prepared. I did try using the old proper steam hissy thing but it was just not as good as the new fangled things.

So today I walked to the village for cheese and a newspaper, cleaned kitchen, tidied, cleaned and polished sitting room, used the sucky upper, had coffee with neighbour, made sauce for tonight’s meatballs and tagliatelle, had a bubbly bath and washed my hair, cleaned loo, hung washing oh and did some work type work because I forgot to send something out yesterday.

We currently have DS, DIL and GS staying (since Wednesday) as they are having their house mended after suffering a flood whilst on holiday in September. The water tank leaked for two weeks causing thousands of pounds of damage. It’s nice having everyone here....

What a terrible thing to happen. They must have been devastated.

Avo - they must have been devastated to come back to that. But having them to stay is a nice bonus.

Zizi - I am shocked! You've certainly won the 'Busy Bee' prize today.

Gem - I hope you enjoy a good night's sleep tonight. It's lovely having the little ones, but very tiring. I hope GS2's tooth comes through quickly, poor little man.

Enfys - the Handmade Fair sounds interesting. You'll have to do a full report for us.

Our visitors have just left - we've laughed till we cried tonight - it's lovely to spend time with friends.

Woke this morning to see that we have had a significant amount of snow ⛄️ over night and there is no sign of it stopping.

Avo, you poor family, what a dreadful thing to happen. Were they insured?

Zizi I have to ask , what is a steam generating hissy thing that makes things flat..... I have a hunch that it has something to do with ....now what’s that word I am looking for....ah I know, ironing. Oh no Zizi step away from that hissy thing , you will be sucked into this routine known as housework!

As its snowing I might as well take the opportunity to wrap the Christmas presents today as I won’t be stepping outside if I have any sense.

                              Keep warm today ladies

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Morning. Mimi yes that is the word I cannot bring myself to write......

Chucking it down here today. Been awake since 5.30 when husband put bedroom light on to look for his woolly hat cukdnt get back to sleep so have got up. I have a few things to do today none of which include going out into the dark, cold rain. As it is getting cold I might make a suet cake for the birds as well.

Last week husband lost his eye drops. He has glaucoma and has drops which have to be kept in the fridge. We couldn’t find them anywhere, had the whole fridge out, checked the floor although the bottle is white and the floor dark grey so not difficult to spot and after all these years he has a routine and the bottle always lives in the same place. Mystery. Yesterday when I was making the sauce I said about I moved the tomato purée which was in the bottom shelf of the door of the fridge and there was the bottle of drops! I swear we searched the whole flipping fridge, both of us separately!
