Excellent news all round Enfys things are improving , I feel quite exhausted by it all and I havnt gone through it lol
Lovely to speak to your granddaughter and know she is doing well and enjoying her adventure
DD and family went to Edinburgh yesterday on the train, spent that afternoon at the castle and dungeons , today they went on the Queen Elizabeth Yacht interesting for my sil he used to be a sailor , and a drink in the smallest pub in Scotland , she’s just FTimed us g/d been swimming in the hotel pool , off to Steak and Mussel bar for tea think g/d will opt for steak 🤔Sil just texted to say my DD is hammered she was last night but hes just winding me up I don’t believe him , there then followed a text from her saying Take no notice mother !!!! Think they are enjoying themselves , home tomorrow
I have just lost to an 8 year old at Othello and Downfall. He has gone off to play a game on his phone! 😟
GM - that made me laugh - sorry. But I remember the time I lost at swingball - to the 6 year old friend of DS2! He offered me another game and said he'd let me win that time!
Gem - I can imagine your frustration at your mum's 'tummy bugs'. It's a bit mean, but you could try saying you didn't get her cake next time in case it's that that upsets her tummy. I know! I couldn't do it either - but it's tempting. xx
Enfy - what a lovely day and I'm sure both P and GD had a beautiful day. How lovely that she's having such fun Down Under.
GM - how are your family now - I hope they're over the worst.
LG - it must be heartbreaking and scary seeing your DD so poorly. thank goodness her OH is so patient. I hope they get to the cause of it all soon. xx
Qwerty - it will do DD and family good to have a break and let their hair down! I bet GD loved the hotel pool.
I didn't get round to starting on the airing cupboard. OH got stuck on a long phone call, then we took Eva out and got back about 2.30, had lunch, and I fell asleep for nearly an hour!

Hope that B is home soon Oma. Lots going on for all you Grans again. After the GCs sleepover at the weekend I've done nothing but sleep. Went to a new hairdresser today & she's done my hair lovely. Cheaper than my other hairdresser too.
Sorry I'm late but thank you so much for the Valentine card Admin. Lovely thought.xx

First of all thank you admin for my Valentines card. I have only just looked at my emails so sorry for the very late acknowledgment.
Good morning all
Oma how is B , hopefully he can come home today
Enfys how is your OH
Nana it’s lovely to get a hairdo at a bargain .
GM how are your family now
Gem, how is your mum’s tummy now, perhaps she looked on a piece of cake as some sort of tummy settling cure 😉
I had a busy day yesterday, stripped the bed and managed to get the sheet and duvet cover and pillow cases washed and dried in one day . It’s so nice to get the washing outside in the sun.
Did some gardening and today if the mood takes me I MIGHT clean the windows.
Another bad night Nan2?
You were busy yesterday Mimi!
GD and GS2 today. Not sure what we shall do. The going out opportunities in bad weather and the age gap ( 8 and a half and 22 months) are not great!
It will be lovely to have them both though
Have a good Friday, I hope all are well.

Jack Frost has really left his mark today, very white but the sun is shining. I have to make a trip to another village to collect a bracelet I had repaired. GD was on a day off yesterday and she thought it was a good idea if I did my shopping yesterday, she just wanted to drive my car, I am putty in her hands. If it stays sunny I might get to sweep up near the bungalow that I planned to do yesterday.
GM I hope your family are feeling better, it is time all these bugs disappeared.
I wonder if B will be home today
I love your mum Gemini, she loves her cake.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Morning ladies , cold but sun is shinning ,
Well no chance of coming home today he's not well ,
Consultant been early this morning ,sending him for chest Xray and took more blood , they need to find out where and what the infection is and where its at .
I'm a bit worried now , I do have a feeling its this lingering cold but you just don't know do you .
Hes not a happy man but better in there than coming home and having to rush back in ,
DD picking me up at 1 to go in .
Hope everyone has a good day xxx
Good Friday morning every body. There's been a heavy frost overnight, but the sun is shining and I'm optimistic I can get some gardening done today.
I think I said I wasn't tired yesterday - but I lied! I've only just woken up after nearly 10 hours sleep!
Oma - Poor B. I hope the infection is just the remains of that awful cold. Given how many of us have found it lingering for ages, it looks very possible. From what Plant said her SIL still isn't 100% and he had it ages ago, my OH is only just starting to feel well - it just goes on and on. Send him our love when you go in. xx
Clover - have a lovely week-end in Herts. It's a long time since Christmas, and I know how much you miss them. I hope the weather is nice so you can get out a bit as well. xx I'm sure your sister is relieved her OH is home.
Plant - your GD is becoming a fantastic chauffeur, ready to take you on all sorts of adventures, bless her.
Gem - enjoy your day. Have you got anything like a Country Park near you? We've got one where there's a trail with lots of things to do for all sorts of different ages, plus a little train, a cafe and two play areas for different ages. It's Council-run and free, apart from car park charges. If the weather's ok something like that might keep them both entertained.
If I don't do gardening today I will definitely do the airing cupboard! I think. LOL OH has to go shopping - really exciting, a new toilet seat for the cloakroom. I don't quite know how the other one lost it's 'soft close' function when the girls were here, but .... Anyway, he's off to the Bath Store for a replacement. I've ordered a mattress protector for our new mattress on Click and Collect, so he's going to Waitrose for that, doing the big shop in Sainsbury's and calling in to see DS2 and DIL with paperwork he's done for them. I think he'll be ready to lie down in a darkened room by the time he gets back!

Good news that your BIL is home Clover, hope he improves.
Sorry to hear that B is still in hospital, Oma. Hope they can get to the bottom of it soon, he must be so fed up to be back in. Will keep everything crossed for good news for him xx
Having a restful day today, DH was quite active yesterday but felt a bit sore in the evening so he must take it easy today. He forgets just how big the operation was, so he must take things slowly.
Have a good day 😀.
