    Ouch - I never realised it was so easy to break ribs.

    Zizi - have a lovely evening - it all sounds delicious, and I'm sure she will have photos of her little GS.

    Gem - Oh dear - your SIL won't live that down in a hurry. I hope GD wasn't upset. How did your meeting go?

    I've had a lovely day, meeting up with 8 or 9 old friends from college. There was a lot of 'is X still there?', 'what's Y doing now?' etc which is always fun. We were all in agreement that we loved our jobs, but are glad we're not doing them any more. We've booked another get together for next month. We always used to meet about once a month on a Monday, but when I started looking after the GDs on a Monday I had to drop out. but things change, and Monday is no longer the best day for most of the others, so they're joining the Thursday bunfight 3 of us had been going to. I'm so pleased. As much as I love my GCs I did miss my friends.

      I'm so pleased that you had a good time, and can meet your friends regularly again Daisy. We need our friends

      I will write about the meeting elsewhere tomorrow. It went OK though.
      GD was easily bought off with Maltesers, and hadn't been upset. DD won't be so easily won over!

      Full day tomorrow with baby all day and GD overnight, so I'm off to bed. Night all!

        Had a lovely lunch with my guiding friends at a local pub, the food was excellent, must go there again

                  i had a meeting to go to in Euston, central London. I got up, dressed, slap on, paperwork all in order, jumped in the car, went to tube station (£11 per day) and just as I got to the pay machine my work phone tinged which indicates an email. Thank goodness I looked at it because it was calling the meeting off. This was at 9.15 and the meeting was 10.30. Another five minutes and I would have been underground until I got there and it would have been a total waste of time. Then I came back sent an e ail to chap who wanted me to design a Flyer for him for an exhibition we are doing next week and he got all snotty because I said I didn't have time (it is not actually my job but I am good with Microsoft Publisher). He responded thst as I couldn't be bothered to help him yesterday he would sort it out for himself, so I left him to it. THEN I got an email at 3pm today from someone in another company but the same group as me asking me to complete a 12 page questionnaire on working in schools. DUH this is for YOUR bid and nothing to do with me, happy to help but 12 pages?? I must be getting stroppy in my old age but I sent him my activities document and told him I was logging off at 3 pm so wouldn't have time to do it for him. He is not happy.

                      Zizi - it's a very long time since i worked in business (as opposed to teaching the subject) and it seems to me that there are more people who are rude, unreliable, unreasonable and have an expectation that everyone else is there for their convenience. I'm glad you got the email before the underground ticket! I don't suppose you got your car park charges back though!

                      So, no, I don't think you were being stroppy, but these other people do seem to have unrealistic expectations! And why is it that everything it needed 'yesterday' - or earlier!!!

                          Good Saturday morning, Nanto, and everyone.

                          Oma - hoping B has had a good night and the treatment' working. xx

                          We're going to a big posh 'do' in Bournemouth tonight and staying overnight in a hotel. So we've decided to make a day of it and go to Bournemouth later this morning, have lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Bournemouth's only about 15 miles away but it always feels like being 'away'. There's wi-fi in the hotel so I'm still around!

                            We and dull this morning , hubby had a good night may get home today , not much for me to do so I'm having a lazy sit around this morning haven't even had a shower yet , Got a new headboard being delivered this morning so better make a move or the delivery men will get a shock when Stig of the dump opens the door to them 😊 have a good day ladies xxx
