Gem hope the infection clears up soon.I know those pots can be tricky to 'use' but at least your surgery still issues them. I needed one but our surgery no longer gives them out !

I've been toying with the idea of buying OH an ornamental wooden wheel for the garden ( he has wanted one for ages) for Christmas but as he is home every day I don't think I would get it passed the front door without him guessing what it is.

We had a bit of excitement here yesterday afternoon. In a flat a few doors down from us we could hear a lot of noise. We looked outside to see a few members of the fire service breaking down the front door of a young woman's flat. Apparently the door slammed behind her when she stepped out side leaving her baby alone in the flat. The poor baby could be heard screaming as the door was being broken into. It must have been so frightened poor love , all that noise and no mummy to cuddle. It didn't take long till mum was reunited with baby but now she has to find money to repair the door and perhaps a bill from the fire service?

Mimi, poor mum and poor baby, I bet both were upset! I once, the only night I spent in a hotel alone, locked myself out of my room! I had room service delivered and went to leave my tray in the hallway. Slam, the door shut behind me. I was so glad I had stayed dressed to eat my dinner!
The parcel arrived, in plain box! OH was in, and took it at the door and straight out to the garage, so GS didn't even notice

I'm going to a friends for lunch, then to see mum, then, hopefully to a client at 4.30. First I need to go to the chemist to get some better dressings for my thumb. I will get OH to bring my couch downstairs and into my boot before she goes to golf. Then if I do work later, it will be one less thing to struggle with.

Mimi - Your poor neighbour, she must have been so upset hearing her baby crying and not able to get back into the flat. I've locked myself out of the house several times and your heart sinks even without the extra worry of a tiny babe on the other side of the door. I do hope the fire service don't charge her - a new door will be costly enough.

I'm off to take Eva for a good run before GD1 and dog arrive.

I am off to have lunch with an old friend today. I am getting the bus so I can have a glass of wine. She has one son and two grandchildren and is very upset at the moment as they are moving away. At the moment they are literally five minutes away from her but they are moving to your area Daisy, cannot remember the name of the place but I remember seeing it when we were around there a couple of years ago. It is still not that far away (well not as far as Australia!) but she is used to having the girls a lot and actually took retirement earlier this year to spend more time with them. Problem is she lives in Richmond (Surrey) and her son and dil live in a two bedroomed property but cannot afford a bigger property in the area as it is very, very expensive so they are moving out. They both have jobs they can do from home so for them it is ideal to move outwards.

It it will be nice to see her as we have made arrangements four times since March and had to postpone each time for various reasons. We are going to "the toilet on the Green" for lunch.......

Note to self : don't bother hanging out washing at this time of year even on a sunny day. It was very slightly dryer but not worth the effort of putting it out and bringing it back in!

Well I am in bed, suddenly felt very shivery this afternoon, surgery said the result would take two days as it had been sent to a lab. Without me knowing DD phoned and suggested they prescribed a blanket anti biotic until the result is back. They phoned to say there was a prescription for her to collect. It was a relief as I couldn't get warm and couldn't stop shivering. Feeling more comfortable now. Hope I might be a bit better tomorrow.

Plant, I'm sorry you are feeling poorly. Bed is the best place and I hope you soon feel better. Your DD is right, it's common to give one antibiotic to start things off, then if the test results show you need another they will phone you. That happened to me once.

Morning all a wet morning. Plant hope your looking after yourself and keeping warm. I have little one this morning while DD takes M to hospital. Will need to spend an hour or two getting glammed up tonight, my friend and I have VIP tickets to see Keith Duffy (boyzone) and Brian Mc Fadden (westlife) team up for a concert at the Hilton Hotel in Bournemouth, very posh so jeans won't do .

Morning ladies off to DR,s for another BP check at 9 got a problem getting it down , oldest G'S stayed over last night will leave him in bed as Dr's only 5 minutes drive away be in and out before he gets up .
