I was in a bit of a hurry this morning and didn't commiserate with all those having sleepless nights. After Mimi's marathon snore-off last night, I hope you all get a better night tonight. xx
Mimi and Oma - have a lovely evening. Oma - I know you won't let anybody spoil Martin's celebration. Wish him happy birthday from all us grannies - he's our pin-up hero.
Mimi - very happy 40th birthday to your DS.
Zizi - I'm glad you got a bit of a lie-in - you certainly need it. I hope Joe's bedroom passed inspection! It's amazing how they take cleaning for granted until they have to do it themselves! I had a cleaning fairy when our boys were Joe's age, but they had to leave their rooms tidy for her. I wouldn't let her clean them if they'd left stuff all over the floor, their desks covered in books and papers and their chair piled high with clothes.
Clover, I'm sure the walk did you both good after your round of hospital appointments. I'm so relieved the doctor said it's not your replacement hip that's causing problems, although I don't suppose knowing that makes it any less painful.
This morning started rainy, but it cleared up and the sky went this funny blue colour with a few white splodges - wonderful, but not much warmer. The Potato Day was good. Not as crowded as usual, thank goodness, which meant we could look round and not have to fight for space. I think we've ended up with enough seed potatoes for the whole allotment, not just our plot, but have got lots of different varieties. We also got some heritage seeds (I love trying old varieties) some hard neck garlic, runner beans (which they sell by the ½ pint!) and a few other bits and pieces. We had a late lunch when we got back and then took Eva for a run, so quite a busy day.

Good Sunday morning, Nanto and everyone.
Nanto - I hope the pretty graphic isn't a warning that we're going to get snow!! It's damp here and has been raining quite heavily, but at least it's not so cold! I'm going to tackle a basket full of washing this morning (lucky me). I was hoping it might by dry enough to start cleaning out the greenhouse ready for seed planting, but it will have to wait for a better day.
Oma - glad to hear everyone enjoyed Martin's special birthday - and that the 'children' kept the peace. Mind you, with Aunty Oma's warning I bet they would have hugged each other if you'd told them to!

Very wet here too.
Oma,so glad you had a lovely evening.Having a good night'sleep afterwards was a deserved bonus.
Gem,your roast lunch sounds so nice. I don't often bother these days to be honest.
If this rain continues I think our daily walk will be cancelled.OH doesn't "do" rain very willingly
I have two big collections of old magazines that I must sort through and cut out any item I want to keep. A slow task as I usually keep stopping to read or re-read articles.
Daisy, I wish I had the space to grow some potatoes. I usually manage a few somewhere but only run of the mill varieties.

Morning ladies, wet and cold here this morning, thoroughly enjoyed watching the youngest two in their show yesterday.T wasn't in the least fazed by her stage debut. On the final leg now with kitchen, last double unit going in as I type . Then the fancy trimmings to add and job done, think it will take me week to get straight, but hey ho worth it. Hubby walking mutley today,I have to negotiate the kitchen to get a roast meal on the table for us and the lads, should be fun."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

LG - you must be delighted to have got the kitchen done with relative little pain, and I bet it looks fabulous. Well done to the girls on their performance. It sounds as though it was brilliant.
Nana - sorry you're feeling under the weather. I hope you got plenty of rest today.
Our rather damp day turned into a very wet one - sounds like Clover's was too. Nanto could have washed her towel on our line, never mind drying them.
Oma - glad you had a good sleep last night. Doesn't it make a difference? xx
