It's the coldest morning we have had here in a long time but at least the fog has gone and the sun is shining. I am determined not to waste a lovely day like today so when OH gets himself back home I will be popping out for a walk along the country park just two mins walk from where we live. If we lived across the road from here we would have lovely views of the autumn trees . (If OH had taken his keys with him I wouldn't have to wait for him to get back)

Baby GS seems happy and on good form. Just gone down for his morning nap
Tesco order due between 11 and 12. I hope they come while GS is still in his cot!
Retirement is always busy Libra, I know that from my OH. Not having to be up and out in the mornings is the bonus though! She is often, but at least it is by choice now, for golf!
Enjoy your walk Mimi.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I was out at 6.30 this morning but did not factor scraping ice off the car in to the travel time. I arrived at the office in Euston at 8.10, had a couple of catch ups and then a meeting from 9 until 10.30. I was supposed to be going to Wolverhampton for a meeting on the 10.23 train, thank goodness I cancelled it. I rushed home to do the meeting on a telephone conference call, opened up my emails to find it had been moved to 12 noon which would have meant I would have been late anyway! Joined the call twenty minutes late and then spent 3.5 hrs on the phone.
Tomorrow I am working from home thank goodness, dil sent what Joe and Sadie want for Christmas so I ordered both. That is me £120 lighter! This weekend I need to make Ben's birthday cake and wrap it to preserve it. We are away from 11th and his birthday is 18th. Need to wrap his gifts as well. I am quite behind with Christmas presents and am getting anxious about it as I have so much work on at the moment. I am quite stressed ......If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

We ordered some things on line today and tomorrow we going to buy a TV for GD she wants one for her bedroom and GS2 wants a ipad docking station music thing , I'm not sure what it is but OH does , he also wants a Hoodie and track suit bottoms from a designer shop and a PS4 wrestling game , that will be all our Christmas presents in , we have done it all very quickly in past week so I don't have to do it myself , l took Gems advice I bought boxes and I have filled them with several gifts for the adults in the family it was much easier than finding larger gifts , for instance we bought DD some GHD hair straighteners a Yankee Candle ,wine, nail care kit , a little double herb planter metal bucket type thing she had mentioned and a lantern to put candle in ,that won't fit in box but it's the only thing .And I have wrapped them in nice Red ribbons , thank you Gem it was a brilliant idea 😊Im not fat just 6ft too small

Hello everyone. Just catching up with all your news. I've had a virus for about 4wks which has left me with a lousy cough. To make matters worse GS1 has passed on his cough. So I have a cough on top of a cough. I'll join the rest of you ladies who are feeling off colour .... safety in numbers 👍
Qwerty I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend. As it's already been said, don't forget that we're here for you."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

I have gone in the other direction OMA. I have always done lots of small things in a big bag for my sons and dils but now I am doing wine cases, meat voucher etc. If I could give advice I would say try Donald Russell for meat. fantastic. A bit pricey I will admit but have some good deals if you watch carefully. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

We nipped into town this afternoon and it was lovely weatherwise. We had frost this morning and looks like it will be frosty tonight.
Really stuck as to what buy eldest grandaughter and her partner for Christmas. They are living with her Dad (our eldest son) to save up to buy a property.
Her Dad says they have seen some furniture they like, and could store it at her partners Mums.
Might give them the money to pay for the furniture. They both work hard and do overtime to help save,so we think they deserve to have the furniture.Last edited by Nanto2girls; 02-11-2016, 09:01 PM.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning ladies. It's cold, bright and frosty here this morning. It feels very wintery.
We're off to the supermarket soon. We've got visitors coming tomorrow evening and on saturday OH is going up to DS1's for 5 days to help with some DIY and decorating, so I've had to rewrite my shopping list. I must admit I'm not looking forward to trying to keep Eva calm on Saturday evening.
So after shopping, it's back here for a quick sandwich, and back out to get our flu jabs and take Eva for a good run. I think I'll be ready for a relaxing evening by then!
Have a good day everyone.
Nana - how are you today?
Tizzy - cancelled appointments/meetings must drive you mad! Not long to your hols now.

Good morning everyone.
Enjoy your coffee with friend Enfys -one of my favourite occupations
Cold here too Daisy but not as cold as this time yesterday morning, when we had frost.
Usual Mum-Thursday, then reflexology for me at 7. My back and knee are troubling me a lot at the moment, so I hope she can help!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
