Plant that is a very apt description of the day With added bouncy castle

He had 4 candles of his cake, plus a sparkler candle in the shape of a 4. If he noticed he didn't comment!

Haven't been posting much lately( post on YEO), but have been lurking! Just saying Hello to you all and to say that I do think about you and wonder what you're all up to.
GS is coming to stay this week and he and I are off to see Gangsta Granny! Should be a good afternoon out.
It has turned very cold here this afternoon......must get the vests out!
      Love to you all xx

I'll catch up properly tomorrow - but really pleased to see Oma's OH is home.

We had a lovely time at our posh do! Our Bournemouth/Poole ladies were right - it was a lovely day. We arrived just before lunch and went for a walk to the end of the pier (first time in 30+ years we've lived around here) and had lunch there, with the sun shining on the sea and the waves gently lapping the beach. Friends who were also going to the do turned up as well, so it ended upas a bit of a party.

The 'do' was at the BIC (a big conference centre in B'mouth) and we were staying in a hotel immediately opposite. It was a charity event - the culmination of 6 years of fundraising and the announcement of the total raised was the highlight of the evening - over £7 ½ million! There were 750 people there. The food was amazing - all delivered quickly and hot - and there was all sorts of entertainment from a string quartet, a marching band, drummers, a babershop/a capelo choir and a young solo singer with the voice of an angel. Then there was a disco and we danced and partied until 1 am! We were so glad we only had to walk across the road to out bed.

We had a lovely breakfast in the hotel this morning and then came home, and dozed and relaxed in front of the woodburner and the tv!

Eva had a lovely time with our friend M who came and stayed here - although she was upset by unexpected fireworks last night.

I'm still very tired, so off to bed - I need my energy for the girls tomorrow!

That sounds a wonderful time Daisy

I'm off for an early night too, in fact I'm in bed now! We have had quite a busy weekend, and as it's half term GS1 will be here for the whole day tomorrow, rather than from preschool.
            Goodnight all!

                Good morning everyone!
GS1 was here by 8am, in his pyjamas! He is now having breakfast, with some C Beebies for a quiet start to the day

Not a happy bunny, I now have a urinary track infection, phoned surgery, I have to collect a pot and take them a sample, which they will send off to lab, so another 2 days of pain and discomfort. I defy anyone anyone who can pee in those small pots, wish me luck.

Oh no Plant I hope it clears up very quickly. You need a clean plastic jug to keep for that purpose, then you can just pour some into the sample pot.

Oma, good luck for the transplant team appointment.

I have just got an email telling me that my Amazon order is coming today. It is GS's Christmas, present a Playmobile preschool, as he loves playing schools these days. He is with me all day. Fortunately however it will be in plain packaging (I hope!!!) so I will say it is something for Auntie S

Thanks Gem , hope it is in a unmarked packet 😕

Afternoon all, good to hear Brian is home Oma and on the mend I hope. We are off to Days for Mennas family birthday get together, she didn't want Days at tower park, no has to be Bournemouth. The reason- they have 2 chocolate fountains whereas TP only have the one lol. Love that girls thinking. Plant have you tried cranberry juice for your UTI, plus drink lots of water.

Plant - poor you. That's not nice at all, and having to go and collect a sample bottle first isn't going to help. I hope you are keeping warm, drinking lots of fluids and resting. I keep a small collection of screw top receptacles for such emergencies - it save going for a trip to the surgery (or the vets, depending on the patient!) the clean plastic jug sounds a good idea. I keep an old plastic soup ladle for use with dogs. It came in very useful with Rusty and Clyde, but i don't know if I could 'catch' Eva so easily!!!

Gem - I hope your parcel arrived and GS1 didn't cotton on that Santa had come early.

Oma - That sounds like a very grand headboard.

LG - I hope you've had a lovely family celebration for Menna's birthday. Good timing to have it in half-term.

Nanto -I hope you're now sitting with your feet up!

I've been thinking for a while that GD2 is ready for potty training - and this week-end she became the proud owner of lots of pretty pants. Today went very well - until we took the dog for a walk. I'd agreed with GD1 that we would go immediately after GD2 had used the potty, so there was a mad scramble to get everyone out as quickly as possible. We walked to the nearest green area and had lots of fun playing in the dry leaves - including the dog, who thought it was great being allowed to scratch up leaves everywhere. Then the inevitable happened. "Grandmaaaaaaaaaaa" Back home with a very tearful little girl.

Daisy, well done for the potty training,i think it's inevitable she will have a few accidents at first.
                                Gem, hope the parcel arrived.
