Last night a lovely young man came and introduced himself as our new neighbour. He is upstairs next door where nasty neighbour was. Didn't see the going of him! Good riddance I say. I have put a bottle of fizz and card on new neighbours doorstep this morning. We will trot over the road to the bus stop in half an hour. I am feeling a bit better today than last night thank goodness. Quite mild here rumour has it it is going to be warm today, how dare it? I am going on holiday to escape the cold and wet and it has decided not to be cold and wet here today. The cheek of it, don't they know who I am?

That's a lovely bright and cheery picture, Nan2, very cheery on a damp and dull morning. Very misty again here but hope to get some jobs done outside today. Everything is shooting madly in the garden, every day I see something different....love this time of year.

DGS is home from Uni for the weekend, he comes back to see the football so will pop over and see him sometime too. Have a good day everyone

Nanto - what a lovely cheery picture. I hope it persuades the mist to clear off and leave us (me and Enfys) with some sunshine!

Mimi - my back's complaining loudly this morning as well. I hope a nice hot shower will sort it out. I'd like to get out in the garden, too, but it's very wet again after all the rain. I wonder why cats always seem to scratch in the same place?

Zizi I'm sure you're on your way to the airport by now. Have a safe journey and a wonderful, relaxing time. Pleased to hear you feel a bit better. Your new neightbour sounds lovely. Why can't everybody be like that!

Enfys - your GS must be a keen fan - Cherries? I hope they win and make the journey worthwhile for him!

I'm a bit worried about Bizzy Lizzy. I hope she's just too busy to chat, and there's nothing wrong. If you're reading this BL - thinking about you. xx

Morning ladies , hope everyone feeling ok , Zizi have a relaxing holiday ,
Well I got up all ready to paint the main wall in our bedroom , stripped the beds got everything taped up then changed my mind , before we took headboard of the wall thank goodness , it's huge and heavy it's a very tall wide headboards like hotel rooms , Anyway before we did that I painted a piece of white paper and held it next to headboard and it really doesn't go at all , so abandoned that idea , will take the paint back to B&Q , then I have a milk pan to take back bought yesterday supposed to be suitable for Induction hobs well its not 😠 never mind I suppose I have saved myself a job or two 😊 have a good day ladies xxx

Oma I'm not the only one who has returned paint to B and Q this week
OH is outside 'spiking' the lawn out the back in an effort to dry it out a little. He is complaining that we have moss growing in it and I know from past experiences that he will not rest until he has vanished every single part of it off the lawn!

Mimi - it sounds as though your OH enjoys caring for the lawn. If he'd like a trip down to visit us I could make him even happier!

Oma - I don't know where you get your energy from. You'd done all that before 10 am!

Oma I suppose you haven't really saved yourself a job, just postponed it. Perhaps you could buy a tester pot before bringing home a large tin so you can check the colour.
Daisy I hope the shower sorted out your back.At least you won't feel guilty that you can't work on the allotment
Mimi your OH would have a fit if he saw my front grass- more moss then grass but at least it's green.

Clover that's why I used the test pot we had on a sheet of white paper before we opened the big tin , If I had opened that we wouldn't have been able to take it back , I always buy a test pot too , its the right colour just doesn't go with the sort of oatmeal coloured headboard they clash , Took big pot back and got a refund I will leave the wall white

Well we are here. Not our idea of a bungalow more a first floor flat but it is an upgrade so not going to moan too much. Fairly sparsely furnished but not bothered about that. Going for a wander now. Let you know what I think later. Can only post on phone as on ipad it doesn't let me see what I am typing which is odd. See you all later x

Good morning early birds, Mimi and Nanto. Mimi - I hope you're now catching up on that missed sleep. What a lovely, pretty graphic, Nanto.

Nanto - you're well ahead of the game this morning.

Yet another wet, dreary start to the day here. OH and our allotment buddy are going to get some gravel boards to make a raised bed for buddy's asparagus this morning, so I'm going to wizz round waving one of those yellow things and pushing the sucky up thing. Just a lick and a promise though, nothing too serious!

Have a good day, whatever you're doing, ladies.

Very wet and dismal, here, so pleased we did our jobs outside yesterday. I think we are going out to a garden centre later, really just for a look round and maybe coffee (cake?). But I might have a look at the fruit trees. Have a good Sunday everyone .
