Nan2 I have cancelled my long standing account with them because of delivery issues. I ordered some things for holiday in November and had to have them try to redeliver four times. The last time the delivery was made during our holiday despite me giving them holiday dates and then they charged me a late return fee. I did a before 10pm order in January and nothing came for three weeks and then it was in dribs and drabs so I told them I was not accepting acceptingany more deliveries and I didn't and now they have charged me £84 for a coat I did not take delivery of. Annoyed is not the word......

Good afternoon my friends.
What a day, it's been non stop. After a very early breakfast I popped to our local library where they sell green rubbish bags that the council insists we use for our garden rubbish . No others plastic bin bags are acceptable even though they get chucked into the back of the refuse collection lorry with all the normal household rubbish and then it goes to land fill. On from there I went to the chemist and had a long chat with the woman serving behind the counter. After that I popped to Tesco with the intentions of using the cash machine to withdraw some money..... but somehow I purchased a fairly large 'lollipop ' olive tree !! As usual I hadn't thought it through as I started to walk home , it was a little awkward to say the least.
Then I helped OH paint the garden bench, got lunch, wrapped GS's christening present, put a colour on my hair to hide the grey hairs. It's now just past 4 in the afternoon and I have only just had time to come on here !

Zizi I haven't brought anything from Marisota for a few years now, in fact not since we moved house. I found the service quite good.
Nan2, I've never cooked jacket potatoes in the slow cooker. Do you just scrub them , prick them with a fork and put them in there. How long do they take ? I might try them tomorrow!

Just remembered, OH and myself spent at least 15 minutes searching the bedroom for a £10 I put on the bed in a hurry because I went to answer the door . Could I find it when I got back in there ? I recalled hearing the cat playing with some paper but I took no notice at the time. In the end OH found it with the aid of a torch and crawling around the bedroom on his hands and knees. That darn cat had managed to get it right under my wardrobe!!

Plant it was lovely and mild by the coast today but I bet the north sea was freezing , I resisted a paddle in the water

Sound like most of us had busy days.Had a busy but good morning,then friends came this afternoon.
ZIZI, your problems with Marisota sound horrendous. no wonder you gave up on them.
Mimi, i wash the poatoes, prick them with a fork, the wrap them in foil. I put mine in about 7 this morning on high.
About 11.30, i turned the cooker down to medium. Then i put them in hot oven about 10 minutes before eating,to crisp up a bit.
We ate about 1.30. When they are done in the slow cooker,the inside of the potato takes on a bit of colour,but it doesn't alter the taste.
I like doing them this way,because you can put them in and forget about them.

WI for me today, speaker and ploughmans lunch

Plant hope it's a interesting speaker today enjoy lunch .
We have been to Morrisons back home quick cup of coffee then we off to a place to look at car hoists , B thinks his next car should have one fitted as it's getting difficult for me to get his mobility scooter in and out of boot , wheel chair not so bad it's quite lightweight but the scooter is very heavy , so I'm being dragged along too to look at them 😞 why I have no idea , as long as they do the job I'm not bothered , this man really knows how to show me a good time 😲😁

Oma - gosh, were you waiting on the doorstep when Morrisons opened? I'm sure b would like your opinion on the hoist, especially if you will be Operator in Chief. I hope you both like the first one you see! And you've had your treat for today - the trip to Morrisons!!! (she says, ducking)

Daisy we were there for 8.25 😊 looked at hoists made all the right noises I think 😁 got to wait to see what car we decide on first as each car needs it's own fixings . Can't take all this excitement 😉

Oma, what is it with our OH's , mine thinks the highlight of my day is to help him scrub out our 'green' recycling bin.
