I a. So far behind with Christmas presents which is unusual for me. I am usually done by now including cards, wrapping etc. Next week I am very busy with work, Wolverhampton Monday, Birmingham Tuesday and Wednesday, kings cross Thursday, Euston Friday so I won't have time to concentrate on it next week. I haven't finished the Wales (my two sisters and families) presents either which have usually been sent by now. Feeling a bit stressed by it all really. Oh we'll never mind......

            Good morning everyone.
December, so time to finish that Christmas shopping! I have done mine, apart from the baby, and the friend who each year makes me a photo calender for OH, but won't let me pay for materials. I also have several presents to buy on behalf of my mum.

Such a sad day for Qwerty, thinking of them all.

Usual Thursday stuff with mum today. OH at a golf dinner tonight. Meal for one and a reflexology treatment for me

A horrible day for Qwerty. I'm thinking of her and her dear friend's family xx

Daisy ,yes we did have lunch out. We went to a very posh place called Tesco. The cafe has had a facelift and is lovely now.No more serve-yourself hot drinks but delivered to your table with a cup and saucer-no mugs! We had freshly cooked fish and chips which was delicious-beautifully cooked and presented. It obviously hadn't been sitting round on a hotplate for hours.

Most of my Christmas shopping is under control now it's December. Lots ordered on line as it's so easy!

Zizi, what a lot of travelling is on the cards for you. I hope it all goes smoothly.

                Have a good day everyone

It is very frosty here pure white everywhere, pretty to look at but no fun for walking. But it's hubs day for dog walking bless him he will be thermally insulated from head to toe. We have done all our shopping just the dreaded wrapping to do, cards are written and will be posted next week. Girls requested sausage casserole followed by treacle pudding, wise choice today. Glad you had a good nights sleep Oma, give my best wishes to Brian.

I have ordered most of my Christmas presents plus 3 birthday presents on-line, Must start writing the cards.

I popped into Dunelm yesterday for a picture frame and stopped for a tea cake and pot of tea, very nicely served.

A very sad day for Querty

It's good to treat yourself to something in a café when you are out shopping Plant

You may remember me falling on Monday of last week. No bruises, but this morning, 10 days later, a large bruise on that thigh, now all the pain is gone!

I have started the GRU advent calendar. Feel free to post, we have one picture for each day. You can do more than one over advent, but try not to do too many, if others are waiting for a go
Now I'm off to open my online advent calandar which I buy each year, and the chocolate one given to me by DD2. Lindt too, my most favourite chocolate !

Hoping the worst is over for poor old Qwerty. Heartbreakingly sad for her & everyone else concerned. Awful to loose a friend who is so young. Thinking of you love.xx

I know how poor Qwerty feels. My friend and colleague who died of the same disease too young a few years ago, had her funeral on her 41st birthday. So sad for us all, but I felt really bad for her parents and 2 children. It's so cruel and unfair.

Sending a lot of love to Qwerty.

Oma I have had a taxi on a very short trip when I couldn't face walking home. I think by the time you have trailed around the shops you have walked a huge amount. Poor old feet can only take so much.

Ive started writing my Christmas cards today, just the ones that will be delivered via the local scout group. I will turn my attention to the others later next week. I have to go and buy some more, every year I always end up running out of cards.....I didn't know I knew so many people and the list gets longer as I get older !
Hopefully next week I will have finished my Christmas shopping, I haven't even thought about wrapping the presents yet.

Anyone making mince pies ? The tea room could do with a supply I would think 😉🎄
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Clover unfortunately although I am in London my company head office is in Wolverhampton and we have a lot of work in the midlands and north as well. I had a long conversation about two/three years ago with my line manager about travelling. At that point I was doing a lot of driving. I told him I wouldn't do a two hour drive, run an event and then a two hour drive back on the motorways. He was a bit resistant until I mentioned that I knew his own mother was younger than me and how would he feel if she did the two hours there and back on top of a day with 190 kids? He looked a bit sheepish and agreed if my journey was 1.5 hrs or more I could stay in a hotel.

These days I am not doing as much driving and I shall be going to Wolves by train and will be leaving at 7am from home, back at around 3.30. Tuesday I will leave here about mid day and get to Brum around 4.15. My second cousin wants me to have dinner with her and her mother but I don't want to as her mum is not too great a person and I don't feel I can cope right now with a moaning, negative, spiteful person (sorry if I sound awful). Also one of my colleagues is staying over and I would much rather have dinner with him - he is the young man who I donated my kitchen goods to, we have a good laugh together and he calls me mum (quite funny seeing people's reactions sometimes as he is Asian and you can see there is not a drop of non-Asian blood in him). Then we shall go to the meeting together in the morning and travel back on the train together. I haven't seen him for a few weeks so we can have a catch up.

I did my my Christmas cards today apart from the ones we hand deliver. I am stressing a bit about Christmas presents, I haven't done them yet and that is so unusual for me.......

I am not doing any baking this year, it will all be courtesy of my bank card and Mr Sainsbury or my local baker.

We we have invited downstairs neighbour for Christmas lunch as she was saying her mother wanted her to drive her to Blackpool on Christmas Eve and back on Boxing Day and she has told her mum that she needs to get the National Express. Mum has said that she had to do it as she (neighbour) would be on her own for Christmas otherwise which I think was a bit of blackmail so I offered an alternative. Husband is working in the morning but we have enough room around our table for one more.

Gone off on one haven't I? Oh well. Same as usual 🤓🤓
