Its a better day here than forecast , the sun pops out every now and again. OH has just cleaned all the garden lights on the fence out in the back garden. He was convinced that 6 had been 'stolen' . I told him that was unlikely as for anyone to get to our back in would involve walking past our front garden and along the side of the flat through the big back gate. Now if I was going to help myself to some one's garden lights I would take the ones in the front garden. Not only are they newer , better lights they are more convenient to take ! Later on he remembered he threw a few away last autumn as they were broken . Men !
Just a coincident , but I ordered new one's off eBay last night. They are coming all the way from China. We have a few I have brought from there before and they have lasted far longer than the normal 'solar' ones from Argos.
For a change I am actually cooking a Sunday roast. We are having chicken with all the trimmings. As there is only two of us we are most likely to be eating chicken for the rest of the week.
Oma have you found a duvet cover in yellow you like ?Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi I have seen a couple but not the one I'm after , I have decided to exhaust my options before I make a decision on what I pick , who would have thought it would be so difficult , I did see a white one with a border of yellow daisy,s in Kelidascope I quite like and could get a yellow throw for the bottom of the bed but I will keep looking for a while just in case I find the one I want .
Been to The Range bought my mirror and ended up buying a long light wood ornament sort of candle holder for my glass coffee table and a few bits and pieces , didn't get much change from £110 ,Brian said I'm uncontrollable when I get a bee in my bonnet about something as 1 thing leads to another thing bought maybe hes rightIm not fat just 6ft too small

Just back from a lovely lunch at a local( well fairly local) hostelry to celebrate OH's birthday and very nice it was too! Can't remember the last time I ate a 3 course meal, so not much to eat for the rest of the day for me!! Had hoped to have a walk round the American Cemetery, but the rain put paid to that idea, so chilling out at home before skyping DS in Slovakia later this evening.
Hope that all poorly ladies/partners are feeling better and those on their travels are enjoying themselves. Would love to be able to get away somewhere warm but OH's treatment puts that idea on hold for the time being!
Take care everyone! xxBelieve you can and you're halfway there.

Oma, good hunting! You need a well-trained bloodhound to search one out for you. Glad you at least got your mirror.
WeeGranny - it's a bit late in the day, but very happy birthday to your OH. It's good to get out for lunch sometimes, and it sounds as though you had a lovely meal. I hope his treatment is going well.
Mimi - I had to laugh at your stolen garden lights - my OH would be just the same. It must be a man thing. How much chicken did you have left?
I've been a busy bee today - waving that yellow thing and sucky up thing round this morning, plus 4 loads of washing, plus making a casserole for lunch and drying liver for Eva's treats. Then this afternoon, fuelled by lamb casserole, I cleared part of a border of buttercups which are spreading everywhere. Although the soil was pretty wet, it was quite mild, and nice to be out in the fresh air.

Good morning, ladies. It's lovely and sunny here and quite mild (so far so good on the duvet situation!) Nanto - what a lovely cute kitten.
I'm going to take Eva out before going to pick GD2 up from playgroup, so I'd better get going.
Mimi - our lamb carrerole was leftovers from a leg of lamb! I love leftovers.
Have a good day everyone. xx"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

good morning ladies , all this talk of Lamb & Chicken casserole are making me hungry
WG lovely to have lunch out , these treatments our OH,s are having prevent a lot of holidays don't they but need to be done , hope hes coping well xxx
Well a bit of a morning we have had , I did my usual housework , put towels on a hot wash then between us we gave the garden a tidy up and hosed down the Patio ,
I then decided I wanted to go have a look around a craft shop not far from us its quite a large place called Dainty supplies and they have almost everything you can think of ,I like to go see what,s new and get bits and pieces ,
well all went well till we were coming back and a big white van passed us almost on our side of the road and took off driver side mirror and he just carried on without stopping , he must have known what he did as it made such a noise . we pulled into a side road and luckily B was able to put it back on although its a bit scratched and battered nothing broke off , We have it all on dash cam so Brian has his reg number and video of what happened , we wont need to contact our insurance but B is still going to pass it on to the police to have a look at , it could have been the cyclist behind us he hit he was so far over the line the idiot , as we said better the mirror than the young cyclist . I think that's enough excitement for one dayIm not fat just 6ft too small
