Apart from visiting the oldies (3 of) I am done. Everything wrapped, put in gift bags/Santa sacks, food ordered, tree up, cards sent, wine received (very tempted to try it), sister in laws birthday present plant ordered, card written and waiting to be posted.

Husband said just now (he is in early) "Goodness me we have done well this year with all the gift buying and card writing". I looked at him and pointed out that he has not been involved in any of it. He said that he had supported me! Mmmm and what was that exactly? His response was that he poured the wine or gin and tonic that I needed when I was busy..........

Typical man, using the term we.Mind you, he was useful for pouring you a drink when you needed it.

Well done Qwerty. You sounded remarkably cool and calm about having the twins when we met up, so no wonder it went well

Libra, this time last year I had a chest infection which went on and on, either that or I kept getting one after the other. I caught them from GS. It was horrible, I sympathise.

Nice day today, tree up, outside lights up, lovely lunch out and catch up with friends. I did some parcel wrapping tonight too.

Qwerty - well done, SuperGran! I'm sure the babies slept so well because they knew they were in good hands. I've got used to the sleeping bag thingies, but it still doesn't seem right.

Zizi - respect for getting everything done so early. And well done to your lovely, helpful OH with his hand on the gin bottle every ready to pour you a little drinkie!

LG - poor you, anti-biotics and a muddy pup to deal with. I bet he's enjoying his walkies, though.

I've been doing the dreaded housework today, but ran out of steam about 2.30, sat down and promptly dozed off. Then of course, I didn't feel like starting again when I woke up. It will all have to wait now until Wednesday - I'm far too tired when I get back in the evenings from looking after GD2.

                Hello everyone.

Another busy one. Various things to do for my mum today, involving driving here and there, and going to see her.

OH and I are going over to DD2s after school to help with GDs little Christmas party for her school friends. From there OH will drop me in town, to meet 2 friends. These are friends I worked with, and tonight is our annual Christmas get together.
                Have a good day everyone.

Just recovered from a very busy morning. OH and I run a church toddler group. It was our party this morning with 53 children sged 6 weeks to 41/2,parents and grandparents. We had Christmas songs in the church in front of the tree with a visit from Santa and presents for everyone. Back to the hall for nibbles, mince pies and drinks. Then we had Christmas Mickey and Minnie Mouse arrive to play action songs. We tried these for the first time using commission from the photographer, book lady and hand print on mugs lady!
Everyone had a lovely time and now I can concentrate on the family presents! I will certainly sleep tonight even though I had a bit of a granny nap this afternoon!
