Spent the day in London on a coach trip with NT group, firstly to Hampstead Village and then lots of sight seeing over bridges, at one time we passed The Houses of Parliament and there were lots of policemen controlling the people objecting to bombing Syria. By that time it was dark enough to enjoy the lights. We finished up at Tate Modern and a Christmas Market. It was lovely standing by the river in the dark with Christmas lights all around. Lovely day but very tiring

I am now the proud owner of new hearing aids, everything sounds SO loud. Even my own clothes sound loud when I move, all normal and will disappear when I'm used to them. Best of both worlds now, I can hear hubby clearly instead of what was a mumble, and bonus when I don't want to hear him I can switch off.
Had a text from DD girls have had a reindeer ride, going on husky sleds later and they saw the northern lights. Those lucky girls are making some wonderful memories. Matt cleaned all my windows, in and out and now it's drizzling.

LG - what an interesting day you've had. I'm whispering very quietly! It must be quite strange at first, and it makes me think I should get my hearing checked again. Mind you, OH has the tv so loud that if my hearing was better I would have to sit in the garden!
What a brilliant holiday the girls are having. I'd love to see the Northern Lights. They were very faintly visible in the San Juan islands when we were on holiday there, but nothing compared to the 'full show'. Sigh!

Good morning Nanto and everyone else. What a love, cheerful graphic for this morning, Nanto. It's put a smile on my face already.
We're off to Bournemouth today for a Christmas lunch. It's OH's ex-employers' Pensioners Club. Apart from a couple of speeches which are always way over my head, it will be a very social affair - some people we see regularly and other we haven't seen since last year! I might have to accept that this is the start of Christmas. I even did some shopping yesterday!

Reflexology for me this afternoon ( my monthly treat) Then OH and I are going to see GDs Christmas play from her drama group. Family meal out afterwards, which is always nice.
