              Wet and windy.

              Another day nearer to Christmas.

Dark and dreary here although there is a lovely pink sky in the distance. Red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning......wonder what the day has in store for us?

I am blitzing the upstairs little bedroom today, been putting it off for ages and now it's chock a block with all sorts so desperately needs clearing out. Wish me luck, I may be gone for some time!

Good morning everyone, and good luck to you, Enfys with your blitzing! It will be worth it!

It's blustery here today, but dry and warm (for December). So different for those poor people in Cumbria and Lancashire who are experiencing even more flooding.

Today I'm going to make up the guest beds and clean the bedrooms, and give the lounge a good clean because we have have GD1 and 2 here on Saturday and I think they would enjoy decorating the tree. It's far too early (in my opinion) but I'm sure they'd love to do it. If not it can wait until the GSs come next Saturday!

OH is going supermarket shopping - I don't know what happened to the food we got last week - it seems to have disappeared!! Even worse, we've run out of red wine!!

                  Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone. A wet day here!

For the first time for days I am not rushing hither and thither! Just mum to pick up for shopping after lunch, then out to tea with her, my auntie and my OH.
This morning I must finish writing Christmas cards, and begin putting up some decorations.
We will get our tree on Saturday, and finish inside and outside ones over the weekend. Everyone locally seems to have had theirs up for days now!!

They keep a wee bit of everything and are so helpful . I can get papers , spuds , veg milk and fruit I even got stamps and firelighters there !

Aggie (or anybody else who might know), is it true carers cannot make a drink/sandwich/warm up a meal for the person they care for? Would you need a home help for that? I'm asking as we have decided to have MIL home when all disabled equipment has been put in place, but we cannot be expected to be home with her 24/7.

I was asked if I needed food made or was I going to do the cooking , I got the impression that that service could be provided , my sister delivers clean laundry and has seen one carer seeing to the client and another making tea . I think you need to ask the Social worker

Skye, I had a client for several years, who although in her early 50s, was very disabled due to MS. As time passed she needed carers. I'm not sure about sandwiches or actual cooking, but they will certainly pop a meal in the microwave or oven. In this case it had to be microwave, as my client needed them to get it out of the oven, put it on a plate and bring it to her, there wasn't enough time in the carers visit for an oven cooked meal. I sometimes shopped for her so had to check meals could be microwaved.

                              Qwerty, have fun

That sounds like a very useful little shop Aggie!
