I need to go out before the Christmas food rush just to get a few bits, not looking forward to it, it took my DD over 1 hour to get out of a car park yesterday

I wanted a couple of things and went to horrible Tesco. Nowhere to park so I went to the little high street. I bought my bread and mince pies from the baker which I will seal to keep them fresh. Popped into little Sainsbury for some juice. Popped into my hairdresser to give them some fizz and chocolates, went to Superdrug to get some cough sweets and dry shampoo and now home.
Tomorrow I have to go to my storage unit to collect the Christmas parcel from my sisters and then to get veggies and on to butchers to collect my meat which I have bought so I don't have to go again until after new year.
The white van that I reported as abandoned has finally gone. It was there this morning, don't know whether the owner decided to move it (I put a note on it saying that the DVLA doesn't have a record of the Reg no and I had reported it abandoned) or whether the council came and removed it. I suspect it was the owner as I think I would have heard if a low loader was outside. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

You will be glad to be rid of the white van I'm sure Zizi.
OH felt sick this morning but then felt better, so she said, and we went into town as planned. It was a brief trip, luckily, as she felt unwell again just before we set off to come back. Once we got home, she went straight to bed. I have rearranged the evening meal at friends tonight. Luckily they suggested moving it to 28th, which is fine with us.
I go into automatic panic mode when she is ill. I need to learn to keep calm, but I can't. Hopefully this will pass and she will feel OK later
I will do my final present wrapping this afternoon, and maybe catch up with some TV, as I have a busy day tomorrow.

Afternoon all, arrived at hosp by 7.30 lost track of how many eye drops I had all wrist tagged and ready for operating theatre by 9.00. More eye drops numbing ones this time, and knowing a needle was heading towards the corner of my eye I elected to have a mild sedative via canula in my hand. So I kind of drifted through it quite pleasantly. Eye drops for 7 days, patch is off now and I slept off the effects of the sedative.Glad thats over with, now to focus on the festivities."What doesn't kill us,makes us stronger."

Gem I do hope S feels better really soon. I can understand your panic mode but more than likely it's just one of those bugs that are doing the rounds.
Libra I've been thinking about you and hope all went well. At least you didn't have to hang around until later in the day.My BIL has had laser eye surgery and is fine.

Gem - I do hope OH is feeling better by tomorrow.
Libra - it sounds as though it all went well for you today - thank goodness.
Qwerty - another busy couple of days for you! I don't know how you do it.
Plant - your sister is incredible - I take my hat off to her.
I've had a busy day with both GDs today, and have a lot of jobs to catch up on tomorrow, and I'm hopping OH will go out early and do some shopping - mainly fruit, veg, salads etc.
Sleep well everyone, we all need our beauty sleep just to cope at this time of year.
