Had a lovely day with GS yesterday. We took doggo up to the park and whilst he was wandering around following smells , we had a practice at the basketball hoops, climbed the parallel bars and slid down them, had ago on the roundabout seesaw and had a lovely chat with an elderly gentleman who was walking is neighbour's dog. The we went to Hughenden Manor and had a walk round the house and ground and treated ourselves to a drink and cake and an icecream and GS had go on the climbing wall which he loved! In the evening they took me out for dinner at TGIF and I spent another night with them before coming back home today.
Gs is turning into a gorgeous young man and it was a pleasure to be with him yesterday.....unlike some of the other children who were there!!

Ladies, I should just say that i haven't abandoned you all and haven't even gone off on my hols yet. We've got some very old friends over from Toronto. We haven't seen each other for 10 years and there's a lot of catching up to do. But it means I haven't had much chance to get on here, and it will be busier over this week-end. Tonight DS1 and both GSs are coming down to stay for the week-end. All the boys - big and little - are going to an event for petrol heads in Bournemouth tomorrow, then DIL2 is coming down and everyone is staying Saturday night for a BBQ on Sunday. So today I'm doing a marathon shop for 8 people over the week-end plus an extra 4 on Sunday.

I'm very grateful to Elisi and Gemini and the Mod team who are constantly telling me not to worry, they're minding the shop (and I know they are) - but i do feel guiltIy, so this is just to say a great big 'thank you'. xx

Mimi the hay fever is here and I have taken two anti histamines already. it is very grey here and looks like it is going to rain. I am up in town today so getting the bus to the tube station what is the betting that as soon as I step outside it will chuck it down? I don't drive to the tube station as the car parking is an eye watering £11.50 a day! I have a bus/tube/rail ticket so I use that instead.

Pouring with rain here.We are going over to Scarborough soon to meet friends for the afternoon. Going for a walk, then having a meal with them. They say it is merely dull there. It's only 40 miles away, I fear the rain will be there before we are!

The day just gets better and better!!!
First of all I would love to know why my hay fever is playing up when it is persistently pouring with rain here ?
And because of the rain I got soaked to the skin when I was in town.
I went to town with the main purpose of getting a hair colour to put on my hair and of course I forgot to get it !
As we are going away to Devon for a few days next week I wanted to apply the colour to my hair in plenty of time before we go.
As the tickets for our holiday haven't arrived yet, I rang the company I booked them with only to discover that the tickets have gone to our old address .
Who was the idiot who didn't change the address when the holiday was booked..... ME !! .
Luckily my neighbours are in the middle of moving to our old address so OH volunteered to pop round there only to find there is no one there . .
