Off to have Minx nails done on my toes soon. I have this every summer, and with my holidays coming up, it is time I have found a lady who does this in my village. This is the first time with her. If it works out, I will go to her every time.

Going to see my mum this afternoon. Things haven't been too easy with her lately, so I can't say I am looking forward to it!!

Our midwife DIL started her new job today ... a week of induction and getting familiar with the hospital and then post natal on Monday and possibly delivery suite next Tuesday ..... our new gc is due tomorrow but he/she could obviously come anytime in the next 14 days ...... (this baby will be born at the same hospital DIL works at) exciting times!

It is sooooooooooo cold! Not bad this morning but then the rain set in and it got wet, dark and cold. OH and I were gardening at my mums and got wet.
I have changed and am wearing a jumper and those boot/slippers meant for winter!!

Apologies ladies for being AWOL most of the day. Our computer monitor packed up this morning, just before I went to parents.Hubby came to pick me up later, we were going to PC world for a new one. hubby did some jobs for Dad, so we were there quite a while.Eventually got a new monitor,and ended up going for something to eat. Got home, then got visitors, which was good, as we had a really good catch up.Hopefully I will catch up on here tomorrow.
Sun shone this morning,but now it is pouring with rain, and it's cold and dark.

gosh it is nice and bright here !! can't put the curtains up till the paint dries , Had to turn off the heating , the new paint on the rads was something else ! furniture goes back tomorrow in spite of DDs offer of a skip

Brrr, cold and wet here....flaming June. . I'm in the middle of two weeks of invigilating...so hectic. Had a very nice email from Gransrus yesterday wishing me happy birthday. Thank you, but it isn't for another two weeks . Nice thought, though. Hope you are all sorted out now Aggie. Has the new baby arrived, Avo? Hope it all goes well.

Morning all, it's not a very nice morning here at the moment, it's cold and wet. Hurry up warmer weather we are going away at the weekend.

Up at 6 .30 got the nets up some furniture back . DD still muttering ..Skip ... Lock the door till I drag it all back in . DS 1 paying a flying visit and siding with her . Most of it is ancient , from my Grandparents but I like it , leather firm suite , not so keen on the China cabinet lol

And yes the room is lovely and bright , mind you the carpet I remember coming home with my last baby and finding it beautifully new and ghastly , I had ordered the right pattern in a soft green and there was a dazzling orange brown and yellow carpet . It is as good as the day it went down ,so it is staying ,that baby is36

No baby yet - the baby's brother was 14 days late so not too hopeful - I think baby is waiting for warmer weather its cold, windy and cloudy in South Cambridgeshire.

Enfys, I fully know that your birthday is June 14th!! It appears GRU automatically sends out those emails ,and it also sets birthdays to the 1st! I have laboriously worked out when (almost) all of your birthdays are by looking on FB and GN!! Thanks for the alert we will put it on our to do list, these damned automatic emails!! Has anyone else had one by the way?

Aggie, my mum had a carpet like yours which wouldn't wear out! She had it many years and moved it eventually from living room to less used dining room. When she wanted a change in there, she gave it to us. It is in our garage now

GS day today, and we took my car in for a service first thing.
