I am just home. Yes is chucked it down before I reached the bus stop. Unusually I had to stand all the way to Green Park - I should have left a bit earlier Si forgot that the fare goes down after 9.30 quite dramatically so people wait until then. Anyway got to London Bridge found the general area of the venue I was looking for number 4 (office block) I found number 6 and number 2, I even found number 7 opposite nnumber 2. Where were numbers 1, 3 and 4? Oh very sensible number 4 is behind number 7 which is opposite number 2. I didn't bother to look for the other numbers! All during this looking it was chucking it down and the footpath was really slippery which the street cleaners were signposting by putting "slippery surface" signs out. Thanks for that!

So came home, sun was out when tube surfaced. Sun was out when I was waiting for the bus, sun went in and it bruddy chucked it down the second I got off the bus! it is only a five minute walk but I was drenched. Guess what? The bruddy sun is now shining brightly and the sky is bright blue.

OH heading for the golf course. I will drive over to my daughters in an hour or so. We will meet her sister at Selby station. Train to Leeds, lunch and theatre with 2 of my girls.

sun out , just tipped the window boxes right way up , they are still thickening up round the back and I had to tip them on their side to drain yesterday !! DS2 just rang to ask if the boys can come to me this afternoon , DDIL has gone back to work and he can't change his shift ................... means I will have to get dressed , dreading telling OH , he is so tetchy these days . There is nothing for them to do outside here , slides and trampoline bikes all at theirs . Sorry for moaning ........... did I say sun is shining ?

Overcast here and a bit chilly and deep joy no hot water! I can feel an expense coming on. Husband will be home around 3 I will see what he says, he has a wealth of information stored so he might know what to do without calling out a gas eningeer.

Waiting for delivery of £30 Amazon voucher and the shorts I have ordered for Joe's birthday oh and the cake topper. I was going to make a rugby ball but looking at my diary for next week I cannot honestly say that if it goes wrong I will have time to make another so I will make an ordinary round cake, put the cake topper on and look for a rugby type ribbon to go around it. There is a cake decorating shop a couple of miles away, I popped by there this morning but they are closed until Tuesday so I will have to remember to go in there on the way home one day next week.

One of my nails broke off yesterday, very odd it just fell off not the usual crack and gradual giving way. I chopped the others down last night I have to admit that it is far easier to type on my hipad without massively long nails.

Tomorrow we are going to the nearest big town, Staines Upon Thames (Upon Thames is a recent addition to the title, puts the house prices up!). we will go on the bus as I hate driving there, it is always so congested and you can never find a parking space, you have to sit in a queue outside the car park and it is one out one in. At least going on the bus means you get through the traffic quicker because of the bus lanes. We will be doing an M&S food shop as I have £50 of vouchers. Decided that I wouldn't do the usual trek seven miles to the butcher and buy the weeks meat from M&S. Then we will have lunch somewhere, not where we went last time as the service was rubbish.

It rained here all night. It has stopped, but its so overcast I don't have big hopes for the days weather! I hope you are right about Wednesday Mimi!

I have had a busy few days, so I think today will just be a 'home day'. A couple of things to do for my upcoming holiday, cook dinner, and maybe some of the dreaded ironing.

sitting in a "Midden " here , an expression from my mum , we have curtains down , bookcases emptied ............ think they have been breeding in the dark !! books not cases !! ............. furniture moved as possible , still to tackle the china cabinet . The boys had a ball carrying stuff upstairs , putting plants in the bath ( seems that is very funny ) and made there fave tea of pasta and chicken . DD1 called in to help then we went and did a tour of her 2 caravans ................ the boys are going to save up to buy one ............ hint hint Gran ? . Today the curtains are straining at the leash on the line , brilliant sun here and wild wind so they should dry . Painter at 8am tomorrow , so another day of upheaval ............ be worth it though .......... I hope
