I need to pick up my car after its service, and pay for it - the nasty part!
Before picking GD from school later I need to do some shopping, both supermarket and birthday presents.

Well the plants in the bath that caused amusement for the boys came in handy last night , OH was found on top of them , I heard a polite ... is anyone there and struggled out of bed and there he was on top of the plants and well and truly stuck , called DD1 and DS but he was asleep and DIL came instead and the three of us hauled him out , Doctor had given him a sleeping tablet that didn't put him to sleep , just exacerbated his night time confusion , none the worst this morning but he is back in bed tired out , he can't remember being in the bath !! lolComment

Hi all I do intend to be on here more now that dil is back at work after a year I thought my life would become more structured but nope, her mum was going to come next week and give me a day off from my 2 day stint but she has decided to go to the Italian Grand Prix !!!!

Qwerty - that sounds horribly familiar - thinking you've got a routine and set days and then finding someone else doesn't stick to the Plan. I hope it's not a foretaste of things to come.

Today has been a "S**'s Law" day. As many of you will know we live in a rural area with the obligatory narrow winding roads, lots of holidaymakers and a blanket speed limit of 40 mph. This morning I allowed plenty of time to get to the hairdressers 8 miles away. First I got stuck behind a vintage car. Luckily it was going slow enough for me to overtake - eventually. Then I got stuck behind a large estate car doing just over 20. We both turned left and he was so slow off the mark I managed to overtake him too. Then on a fenced road (no animals wandering around) there was a tractor cutting hedges down my side of the road. Grrrr….. My 20 minute journey took over half an hour and I had to leave my shopping until after the hairdressers. It was then a rush to get home in time to collect Clyde and go in a different direction to the vets. Another slow and tedious drive. I don't think my car was out of 3rd gear all day. It was a lovely sunny day - why weren't all these people on the beach!!!

A quick catch up before I toddle off! Lovely day here today, just had a walk around the 'estate' birds are singing, flowers blooming, trust me to be stuck inside all day

Morning all . About to set off on one of our only every 6 -8 weeks trips to see my "babies"(13 and 10!)plus their Mum and Dad of course! Long journey so glad it's not raining. Have a lovely time while I'm gone. Back on Monday.Comment

Been so busy I haven't been on here much. Off today to Kings Cross Development for posh do for the launch of company sustainability report. MPs, mayor, big wigs. Have to wear proper clothes instead of my usual jeans. I am even wearing high heels. I am taking flats with me just in case my foot doesn't hold out. Got to dash.
