Went up to Vauxhall today for a meeting, went to the the food market. It is not a supermarket, it is a collection of stalls selling really yummy food, a bar and coffee bar, a wonderful stall with the scrummiest cakes and a cheeses stall. This is all set in an alleyway between the railway bridge arches and the back of the shops fronting the bus station. It is a fantastic innovative use of the space. Today was the 2015 opening, it only stays open until the end of October and last year was its first year.
Up to Clapham tomorrow for 7.15am chamber of commerce business breakfast. Just had a meeting cancelled after that which is annoying but at least I knew before and not while I was on the way. Thursday have another two meetings and Friday an all day long meeting which I am not really looking forward to. It is a Business Connectors meeting and, I don't wish to be unkind about anyone, it is full of younger people all "I am I am" and what great things they have done and it annoys me. I hear the same thing every time we have a meeting. I think it is all very well to do big stuff but personally I believe that small things also make a difference and there is no need to shout about it (although I am aware I boasted about my event the other week on here). I know I sound churlish sorry. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Wow Qwerty that's a marathon. I have a week off as it's half term, but I've had so many court days, it doesn't feel like it. BiL is down for the week and is coming for dinner tomorrow. And the garden needs so much attention. Comfrey, sticky willy, herb Robert and Himalayan balsam are taking over the world.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else!
Not so sunny today, not so far at least.
As it is half term GD will be here all day. She has requested and arts and crafts day.
First I am following OH to the garage. Her car is going for a service, and it's too far for her to walk back!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I went to the meeting this morning, there is always a speaker at the end. I have never before had such misfortune to be sitting through the most mind numbing rubbish for almost forty five minutes. It was a woman who advises businesses on their structure and content. There was a man sitting opposite me in the same sort of business (roughly) and he was so exasperated and rolling his eyes and muttering under his breath "what a load of physobabble twaddle" and other such things that I had to avert my eyes from him in case I had a giggling fit.
I had a terrible bout of hay fever this morning, I felt it coming so took an anti histamine before I left home. Got in my car and it got so bad I could hardly see so I took a second one but my eyes had swollen and watered so much (and were painful) that my eyelashes almost came off. I had to take them off and rush to superdrug at Clapham Junction to buy a mascara. lucky they open at 6.30am.
Two meetings tomorrow, both cancelled in the last half an hour. GGRRRRIf you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Chilly and sunny here. I hope you all wrap up warm and have a lovely day Qwerty
I have to drive OH to the garage this morning to collect her car post service and MOT. Apart from that, usual Thursday stuff with my mum.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
