      Good morning everyone.
Nan2, thanks for your concern. DD3s property is fine, although it is worrying. DD1 lives in a smaller town 30 minutes drive away. They live close to the river. Sandbags are out and the police visted last night, but they haven't been evacuated,,and hopefully won't be.

Our hairdresser is coming this morning, and we are going to friends for a meal this evening. I think we can get to them, via the ring road, and not get stopped by floods

We may drive close to York today so we can park somewhere then walk in and take a look. All we have seen so far is on tv and online.

Good morning everyone. I haven't seen the news this morning, but it's been raining here! I hope everyone is ok, and all the poorly people, especially the littlies, are getting better.

Today is our first 'normal' day for ages! Nothing to do except tidy up a bit and enjoy playing with Eva. We get our first training session with her tonight!

Morning girls, did everybody know that yesterday was a Bank Holiday? Well we didn't, but we have been in Cloud Cuckoo Land for the past week.... Anyway we were standing at the bus stop (yes nobody's driving in this household at the moment to make matters worse) when a kind soul told us that there were no buses in our village being a Bank Holiday! Well I was fuming, lots to do in town and no transport! Hopefully today we are back to normal !?

I didn't realise it was a Bank Holiday either Skye, I shall be pleased when things return to normal now Christmas is over but New Years day is looming. I am missing my swim and bowls, feeling very sluggish

                          Good morning everyone.

Good luck for B's treatments Oma. He is a real trooper, never wanting to cancel things. Hopefully having the New Years do will give him something nice to focus on during his chemo.

I did know it was a Bank Holiday yesterday, but then all days around Christmas feel a bit like Sundays or bank holidays!
We looked at some of the floods yesterday and OH took some photos. It was beginning to go down, and will have gone down a lot more by now. I hope tomorrows predicted heavy rain doesn't make it as bas as ever. Both close-to-river-dwelling DDs are OK so far.

Free day today. DD and GS were coming over, but plans changed and they will be here tomorrow instead. Not sure what we will do today yet . We were at friends last night and didnt get home until 1am, so a nice lazy start this morning is welcome
