Happy Christmas everyone. I hope you all have a lovely day and all the poorly people feel better. We are off to DD's soon and hopefully will be able to FaceTime DS who is in Vietnam for Christmas.

Thanks to you all for your friendship during the last year and here's hoping we all have a happy and healthy new year. 🎅 🎄 🎁

Happy Christmas everyone, just woken up (very late for me) but didn't get back from Midnight Mass until 1.50. All of us to DS's and family in a bit.
Got to rescue my mandelkuchen as SiL managed to smash one of the nutty meringue circles last evening. #mindfulness

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas! We're not celebrating until tomorrow when all the family will be here! Having a restful day today with very little cooking going on!!

Hope too that all poorly people get well soon and that for those whom Christmas brings sadness, may they remember the happy times had at Christmases past.

We are basking in silence it's wonderful,we visited eldest DD and family for 1 1/2 hours for present swop and a game with the girls. I have just started dinner for the two of us while enjoying a rather pleasant Baileys over ice. Tomorrow we are visiting youngest DD and family for more present exchanging. Part of me is missing the hubbub and craziness of busier Christmases when we had the Tardis, but our little bungalow just does not function for huge get together's now the children are growing like weeds and need to be able to let off steam. But Im grateful to have a family to share even the smallest amount of time with, as I think of those alone at Christmas. On the plus side the place stays very tidy

We have had a lovely day. Just spent 3 hours at eldest sons house, first Christmas in his new home. Both granddaughters came, the eldest one with her parner and his 8 year old daughter.
Got some lovely presents including a new mobile phone. Will be sad to say goodbye to my old phone.Silly I know, but I have loved my old basic phone.

Good morning, hope you all had a lovely day yesterday and get well wishes for anyone feeling under the weather.
I would imagine Nana's Christmas was overshadowed by sadness.

Wondering how Nana is today. It must have been a bittersweet day.

I've been wondering about Nana, too. Not only has she got to deal with the extremes of emotion - sadness at the loss of her Mum, joy at the impending arrival of the new baby - but will also have a lot of arrangements to make.

Nana - you're in all our thoughts. xxx

                            Good morning everyone.

We had a nice quiet day. I spent a lot of it coughing and sneezing
I thought of Nana, and of my friend J, who suddenly lost her partner a week before Christmas.

Off to DD2s today for the day, picking up my mum on the way.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you are doing.
