The man has been and the fridge is working, it makes much less noise than the other, plus, I am sure from day one that the thermostat wasn't working right, lets hope this one does.

I have an appointment tomorrow for my groin, I am walking wrong because of the pain, then my bum hurts!!!!

Oh dear Lizzie, you're in a bad way.
        Glad the fridge is quieter.

Oma, treasure your lovely memories of your brother.

Cleaning is all done. Bedding and bathroon stuff is drying in the sunshine. A bit chilly though.

Happy Good Morning everyone, you all sound so busy I have read all the latest posts and caught up on everyone's news .

I had a busy week-end DD called in with little people and new baby she was babysitting on Saturday night for 3rd grandson & his partner as previously mentioned and had baby all night she said he was just a dream and only woke up once for a feed.

The weather is sunny here at the minute but rain forecast for later I have DS1s washing out on my line he only has a tumble dryer at his sisters house and he is fond of the outdoor smell on his bedding plus it saves such a lot on energy costs.

I received the new Pavers booklet this morning with really good reductions on summer sandals they all look very nice and good prices, its quite a while since I bought Pavers are they still as good quality as they used to be ? I am slowly renewing my summer wardrobe with a couple of pairs of sandals & jeggings even a couple of summery dresses if I can find something which takes my fancy I tend to go for ditsy floral patterns midi length.

Off now to do some tiding up in the shed before the man calls to give me a date when he can start emptying it for me I need to take out my John's tools etc so they don't get mixed up with what is going to the tip,my DS1 wants all his dads tools and work bench for when he gets his own place which hopefully won't be too long now.

Bye for now keep well everyone xx

I saw the little video of the baby during the night , I happened to be awake also he was cooing away 😁

Im looking for some new sandals in wide fitting I will have a look at Pavers .

            Daisy
Did you try the things on that came from Roman ?

It's been a busy day, and this is the first chance to catch up!

Lizzie, having a licence for 5 years is good - we have to renew every 3 years after 70, but we can do it quickly and easily online. Thank goodness you've finally got your new fridge. As the man said, they should have changed it immediately. I hope your DS1 and family enjoy their trip to England. We used to live near Brighton (Worthing) and it was my regular place to shop, or even just for an afternoon out. Very interesting and different from most seaside towns. Today's been a glorious day, but the forecast for the next few days isn't so good. Hopefully it won't spoil what they plan to do in London.

Gem, in our house I know why I don't get much done when OH is around - we keep stopping to talk to each other, or have a coffee, or ask each other for help with things and we always say 'yes'! How is GS1 these days? Is he settling down to his new pattern of seeing his Dad some week-ends?

Nanto, do you do your potatoes in the air fryer? It was chilly here first thing, but warmed up as the day went on.

Plant, did you get any feedback on the echocardiogram? I hope it all went well. xx

Glam, your lovely family certainly keep you busy. Many thanks for the information about Pavers. I really must get some new sandals this year - mine are so shabby - both pairs!! I think it's lovely that your DS1 wants his Dad's tools. He will treasure them and hopefully put them to good use for many years.

Oma, a day of mixed emotions for you, I'm sure. It was so sad that your brother lost his fight against Covid when he was so fit and active. Of course you will always miss hime, but I hope you've got lots of happy memories to help ease your loss. I had to smile about the sports bra for one day - you could always add it to the bunting and windmills!

Our day out today was lovely - I'll write about it separately tomorrow. I'd made a casserole yesterday so I reheated that for dinner, so no cooking to speak of either. Eva had a great time too.

                Good morning.

Sis in law and hubby coming this morning. BIL helping hubby to trim the silver birch tree this morning. I would like it out all together, but hubby flatly refuses.
If it stays dry, i might as well cut the grass.

Daisy, I do the potatoes in the microwave and then put them in the air fryer to crisp up.
Glad you had a lovely day out, look forward to hearing about it.

Probably do a pizza for dinner with it being a busy morning.

Good morning to Nan2 and everyone else.

I hope all goes well at the hospital today Plant, I'm glad you are being driven.

Are you in any less pain today Lizzie?

I like the ditsy patterns too Glamma. I am sure this is a new word for clothes they have invented recently!

Daisy, I will update about GS1, but he certainly has settled more about going to his dad's flat. Looking forward to hearing about your day out yesterday.

Aquafit this morning and then I have an appointment for my summer toes nails, part of me being nice to myself!
OH and I are going to Betty's this afternoon
We have a £10 voucher left from some we were given the Christmas before last. We have realised they expire after 18 months so we need to use it! £10 wont go far in Bettys of course but we have a lot more Bettys vouchers, our cat sitting payment from our kind neighbours. We are not going for afternoon tea or lunch this time, just tea/coffee and cake.

                  Happy Wednesday to all.

Good morning, Gem, thanks for asking, the pain isn't as bad as yesterday, GD1 tells me to take it easy! Just finished reading your posting, enjoy Betty's!

I have just been to the shop, very cold, in fact I got a warmer coat out of the shed on the way back! It is the Kings birthday celebrations tomorrow, I always like a walk round the free market etc, I will need a warm coat for that.

Daisy, GD1 and family love Brighton, before covid struck they went twice a year, I went with them once, I went with DS2 and partner 5 years ago for my 70th birthday. We can do our license on line but with having to have the medical this year it works out easier to do it direct through the town hall, passport, ID cards etc all done there.

I go to the fysio at 1pm, see what he can do for me.

At least most of the stuff fit , just goes to show from one manufacturer to the next the difference in sizing and cut .

                        Plant
Good luck at Hospital today , so much better getting taken there rather than driving and having to find parking on your own xx

I have managed to read all your posts but will have to post when I get back from the hospital, I have to leave soon. I feel my leg is getting better, not so swollen but we shall see. The young man who did my Echo yesterday told me to keep lifting the toes on that foot as much as I can and being the left foot I can do it when I am driving. I am hoping to be out of the medic’s clutches soon.

                            Good Wednesday morning everyone.

Plant - I hope all goes well at the hospital. xx

Nanto, I'm sure your silver birch will benefit from a bit of a haircut, but I love having trees in the garden. Even as a small child I used to hope one day I could have a tree. Thanks for the tip on doing jacket potatoes. I sometimes do them in the microwave and then crisp them in the oven, but if you're not using the oven for anything else it seems a bit extravagant to put it on for two jackets! Enjoy your morning with Sis in Law and BIL.

Oma, I hope you both enjoy browsing round for a new sofa and chairs, and then out for tea to celebrate your anniversary. I was pleased with the fit of everything except that one dress, and the quality was fine too.

Gem, good for you, taking a bit of time for yourself today. What colour are you having your nails done? Enjoy Betty's. xx

Lizzie, I'm so glad you're feeling a bit better and I hope the physio can work some magic for you. I hope you've taken GD's advice. The first time I went to Brighton I was about 12 - my best friend's parents took me and we stayed at what was then a Butlins Hotel in Rottingdean, just east of Brighton. It felt a very exotic place with the Royal Pavilion, grand houses round the Regency squares, the policemen with white helmets. The Lanes. There was a lot more of the West Pier then as well. Such a difference from the grimy and smoke of our home town in the 1950s.

                              The tree has been trimmed.
Oma, i'm not a tree lover. They are ok in a park or forest, but not in a garden.
We have a big garden, but i wouls still like it gone.

Gem,hope you enjoyed your tea/coffee and cake in Betty's.

Night all! A good day but I'm too tired to write and will catch up tomorrow.
No baby E tomorrow as his daddy has a day off work so I will have plenty of time to myself while OH is at golf.
                                See you then!
