Good morning. Looks a bit dull out there.

Doing a roast beef dinner today.
    GD1 eating with us.

Just a bit of tidying up to do.

Daisy, that was excellent service with the potting bench. Hope you get it finished today.

        Good morning everyone.

The lazy day would do you good Oma! A lazy day for me too yesterday, physically anyway. I spent a lot of it on the phone and filling forms regarding mum.
Apart from that, a couple of games of Skip Bo with OH and reading and TV filled my day.

A Sunday roast and a GD sounds a lovely day Nan2

Daisy, like Oma I love Roman Originals and have lot of clothes from there. Like you I have to order online as we have no store here. It's worth reading the reviews as very occasionally a garment (usually a dress) will come up large so you need to order a smaller size. I hope you like your clothes!

Did anyone see that wonderful boy who sang Pie Jesu on Britain's Got Talent Last night? If not Google him. I don't like BGT. OH records it and skips through and I don't take much notice but this was breath-taking. Not dry eye in the house sort of thing. Actually although we watched it last night I think the show was from the previous Saturday come to think of it.

No plans today. The local car boot sale was to have its first morning of the year today and we were planning to go (me with a stick) It's cancelled due to rain though. It not raining now but the decision was made yesterday due to boggy field.

Good Sunday morning everyone. It's drizzling and dull here.

Gem, I hope you're getting through all the admin and paperwork for your Mum. It seems never-ending at times, doesn't it. Gem, I didn't see BGT, but I'll watch that young man on catch up.

Nanto, enjoy lunch with your GD2. I love the sweet tea for two graphic.

We'll pop over to DS2's this afternoon, and a friend coming for coffee this morning.

Had a lovely meal out with DD, Sil, H and her parents yesterday lunch time in one of our locals and where they were filming the other day. GD and her reluctant OH took the dog for a walk in the woods. For some reason my foot swelled up during the afternoon, it has almost gone down overnight and I don’t have any pressing jobs to do so I will try and keep it up today.

Oma, pleased to read that you are being sensible and resting

Gem, I remember when my OH died, the dining table was covered with separate piles of paperwork and the solicitor kept asking me for figures.

Daisy, I hope you can, weather permitting, get your table finished and ready for use.

Nanto, enjoy your lunch with your GD. Love the graphic.

I'm glad you had a nice meal out Plant. Hopefully the foot will be fine keeping your weight off it more today.

Take it easy Oma, I know it must be frustrating!

We have booked for go out for Sunday lunch. This is at my favourite place to go for Sunday roast ,a village a few miles away. We haven't been there since before the pandemic. It's very popular and they have sittings at 12, 2 and 4. We have booked the 4pm one. OH wants to look at lawnmowers first and we may look at the locks which are just down the road from the pub.

The sun is out. OH is trying to repair our ancient lawnmower

We were on a nearby estate at some allotments.
There was quite a few people around, imagine the sound when all the phones went.
Apparantly not everyone got the alert test. So we heard on the news.

Somebody near us said their alarm went off three times! She didn't know whether to feel 'got at' or honoured! I put mine on airplane mode and it didn't go off until I put it back on 'normal'.

Gem, I'm glad you're having some 'down' time and relaxing a bit after the last few weeks. xx

Oma, I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight. It must be frustrating taking it carefully, but you really mustn't over do things.

Plant, I wonder what caused your foot to swell. Were you bitten by some nasty insect or other? Lovely to have a family meal out.

We've had a busy day. We (well, OH mostly) finished painting and putting my potting bench together. I can't wait to put it to good use! We spent a lot of time tracking our neighbour's progress through the London marathon. The GPS signal disappeared after about 6 miles and we were worried she might have had to drop out, then we found that the app would show a percentage distance she'd run, and were so delighted when it got to 100%. We then went over to DS2 to drop off his birthday card and presents. We stayed an hour or so, came back and had tea. Some of our neighbours came and joined us for drinks to welcome our Marathon lady home, and I think I'm ready for bed now!

My order from Romans arrived this morning and I haven't had chance to open it yet!

                            Good morning.

Daisy, that was a busy day for you.
Well done to your neighbour for completing the marathon.

Plant, hope your foot is better soon.

Hubby helping his pal for a couple of hours this morning, so its cleaning upstairs for me and changing the bedding.

Dinner will be chips, beans and the beef leftover from yesterday.

                            Have a good day ladies.

                              Good morning ladies.

Plant, how is your foot today?

I like that little mouse Nan2

Daisy, a busy but good day by the sound of it. I hope your Roman purchase suit and fit well.

Today we are going into town to drop off forms for the solicitor. Forms with information for the will and documents they want the originals of, so we don't want to trust them to the post.
No other plans as far as I know.

                              Happy Monday everyone.

Good Monday morning everyone. We've got rather cloudy sunshine, but it looks dry.

Nanto, do you find you can get round quicker when you're on your own in the house? I like the cute graphic.

Plant, I hope the swelling has gone down from your foot today.

Gem, It's worrying if you have to send original document through the post, isn't it. I'd be delivering them by hand as well - and getting them signed for at the solicitors! I hope you find something nice to do for the rest of the day.

I want to get on with planting what we bought at the garden centre as couple of days ago. We think we know where most things will go now.
