Hallo everyone, it is still "hot" here. It was too hot yesterday, my new sleeves were irritating me as well so I wasn't in a good mood, when I compared them last night, the first pair fit like a glove, you would think that made to measure they would make the second pair the same, oh no, they are much longer and wider so all the extra material bulks up!! I am taking them back tomorrow to the therapist and she will sort it out, we were both so pleased when the first pair were so good!

I did the coffee this morning then GD2 came to change bikes round, I have sold her old one and the young lady that came for the bike asked if she could go for a ride, for a joke I asked if she would be coming back, she said she would leave her bag with me, which she did, this was before i knew she was a police woman!!!! You can't be too careful nowadays!! So, they should be all settled now for school and college, GD1 goes tomorrow for the first time, GD1 on Wednesday.
We did some shopping, had a drink then off she went on her bike, meeting a friend to go to the outdoor pool. GD1 is at the zoo with her friends. It will be hot walking round there today.

GD2 was telling me she helped with the serving all day yesterday at a birthday party, it is the friend that she is going to work for in the coffee/ice lounge. The friend said she did a good job, the pleased her.

I have finished knitting the cowl and a beanie hat, I tried it on and GD2 said I looked like.......... an old English lady!!!! I told her no more pocket money for a few months!

I hope you enjoyed aqua Gem, ours starts next week. c22dd65e-a168-4540-a8ac-25e385263e64.jpg

Lizzie, I like the colour of your Beanie hat and Scarf. Bikes all sorted for GDs, lucky girls to have you near Lizzie.

Gemini, Aquafit how lovely, I long to get in the water again, perhaps one day. Nice to have dinner cooked for you.

Lovely surprise, GS3 and Dil came an hour ago, Dil dropped GS3 off, had a cuppa and left him here. He is helping Sil with a job in the garden. He went into the loft to find a suitcase for me to use to come to Birmingham. The size I really want is the one with a broken handle. Do you remember I arrived with it on a trolley supplied by Tizzy from the boot of her car?

Thanks Plant, it is a nice bright colour, for me! With my blacks and greys!!

When my children were growing I would measure them every 6 months and record it in a small book, fast forward 54 years, I have also done it for my GD's, I measured GD2 today and was telling her about a size board I had seen to make, I have just been looking on the internet for idea's and I am going to make her one, I will see if GD1 wants one or not. I can always put both their heights on this one. GD2 did say that when she has children she will do the same and when I go????? the little book goes to her!!!

          Old English Lady Lizzie!!

Plant I do remember that yes

We had a lovely afternoon. GS3 spent a lot of his time being carried around by GD!

            Sun is shining.

Going into town today with hubby. He will meet up with his pal and go walking. I'm going shopping. Want to go to the butchers and one or two other shops.
Will meet up with hubby to come home.

Calling at sis and bro in laws on the way home.
Then shop in Iceland . There is an Iceland in town, but we use the one nearer home.
Probably just do a pizza when we eventually get home.
That's our day taken care of.

Lizzie, the scarf and cap look ideal for the winter.

            Right, off to tidy up.

              Good morning everyone.

              Busy day there Nan2.

This morning is my library morning. I hope the long awaited new manager has started while I was on holiday. I have met her, she seems very nice.
My friend is meeting me afterwards for lunch at the library cafe. I get a 40%discount so it's silly to go anywhere else!
I will finally finish my unpacking today.

Daisy if you come home today, safe travels. If not enjoy the end of your holiday

Gemini, Have a good day in the Library. Lovely pictures of the family, you are all so close and supportive. Enjoy your lunch.

I am going to meet a friend in our local Library this morning hoping to play Rummycub if they have room for us, as our group are not meeting this week, hall closed for decorating.

Nanto, you sound busy, have a good day. Love the happy graphic.

                  Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

We got back home tea-time yesterday after a busy but great week with our GDs. Their parents came to collect them and to return Eva to us. We were very tired and opted for an early night - and then I kept waking up every couple of hours. Hopefully tonight will be better.

OH has to arrange for his car to go into the garage asap - on the journey home several warning lights suddenly came on and we have no idea whether they are for real, or whether it's just the electronic display playing up. It was serviced just before we went away, but as you can imagine, towing the caravan was nerve-wracking, especially with having the girls with us.

I'll write a bit about our holiday elsewhere, but for now I need to clear out the caravan, get washing on and cut the grass.

It's nice to be back though, and I'll read up on what I've missed soon - a good excuse for a sit down!

Sorry Oma I wasn't ignoring you, I didn't spot your post I was quickly checking in while having my coffee at the library.

You will need a GOOD rest once you get back!

                            I like a good discount Nan2

The library wasn't too busy and I had a nice lunch and chat with my friend.
Both our OH's are away with golf today including a meal. We both had baked potatoes with tuna and cheese with a side salad, so we won't need to cook tonight.
I have finished unpacking my case and brought the washing in as we had a very short shower earlier. Sunny again now.

Evening ladies , we are back home very tired and ache all over,
the flat is looking lovely , every room has been decorated except Bathroom , SIL is in the middle of cladding all the walls so only the ceiling got painted in there ,

GS and Girlfriend have spent the day taking every carpet and flooring up and doing many trips to the Tip ,
                              Luckily it’s only a 5 minutes drive away ,
There was some unwanted furniture that was past it’s best so they broke that up and got that to the tip also.

We didn’t manage to get the lights up as the work benches took longer than we thought , The sink was a pain to get in and B can’t do things as quick as he did , so B going back on Friday to put lights up,

SIL going down tomorrow to lay the carpets and flooring in the kitchen and bathroom.
He’s also taking the sofa down ,
Then at the weekend all the other furniture is going down.

we are going to have a shower each and we have sent for a takeaway.

                              A early night I think .
