Cold and wet day here, GD H and I hit J. Lewis for lunch and to buy a birthday present, I bought H a bell for her scooter. I have not long come home, Gd was very tired, work and a young one takes it toll.

Oma, that warm sourdough bread sounds delicious. You take care, don’t push yourself.

Gem, I hope the benefit from the massage lasts.

GM, Lovely to hear from you, I love border collies, we used to have one and on walks he used to herd us up. Congratulations on your Golden Wedding Anniversary too.

Lizzie, that was some ride in the wet conditions. So pleased to hear you now have a replacement refrigerator.

Nanto, I appear to have missed your birthday, I hope you had a lovely day.

Glamm, We are so lucky to have these little people to light up our day, how old is your GGD?

Daisy, I inspected the tomatoes today, Sil fixed the netting to the wall yesterday but this cold weather isn’t helping them to grow. They are just starting to grow the leader, fingers crossed they keep growing and produce some tomatoes.

Plant, finger crossed for your GD's tomatoes. This cold wet weather doesn't encourage them, does it! If they're outside does she put fleece or even newspaper over them at night? That would help them on a bit. It is tiring working with a small child to care for as well. Their lives must be a juggling act with H's daddy's shift work as well. Thank goodness she's got such good family support. On the subject of BCs, Eva is one-quarter BC and she likes to herd us all together!

It was a chilly walk with Eva this afternoon. It would be nice to get some settled sunny weather. I cooked a small gammon for dinner and did chips and salad - not very original but ok!

        Good morning.
It's raining here. Just seen the weather forecast and it said it will be cold everywhere for a few days.

Oma, the yolks on the duck eggs were lovely.

        Going to Wakefield today shopping.

Good morning everyone, I hope you have now found the solution for your pain Gem.

Oma, take it easy, it won't be easy for you but you must!

Plant, isn't it too cold yet for the tomatoes outdoors? I know it would be here, they would freeze!

I went to DS1 for a meal, well I took it with me really as the girls, like me, love their poke bowls. I brought GD's bag and she was following on the bike, on the way home it started to rain, it certainly did rain, we had one #### of a thunder storm! Yes, GD1 was caught in it, she tried to shelter but at the wrong place so decided to carry on, she was drenched to the skin and so cold! At least my coat was waterproof the other day, hers certainly isn't. We soon get her warmed up though, the clothes are almost dry. Only her jacket will take a while.

DS1 will be well on the way to Calais now, they are going with the shuttle.

GM, you would have a lovely holiday for your anniversary, well done for getting the dog, it will keep you busy.

              Good morning everyone.

Nan2, it feels like summer is over doesn't it?! But then I remind myself it hasn't begun yet.

Lizzie, the pain will be here for a while yet I think, but the massages do loosen things and help towards my recovery. It sounds as though waterproof coats are essential where you are at the moment!

No plans today. I need to begin collecting all the things I need to take with me for the will appointment. I will do it over this weekend and contact the solicitor on Monday to make an appointment. I have been in touch with them but said I would leave dealing with this until after the funeral.

Let's hope spring returns for us all soon!

Sorry, I do know that they are not popular in the UK, yet! Poke is a traditional Hawaiian dish and sushi originates in Japan. Hawaiian food takes a lot of influence from Japanese food, but poke is Hawaiian. Traditionally, poke is made from ahi tuna or octopus (tako) that has been roughly cut into bite sized pieces and marinated with whatever was on hand.

                      Looks nice and colourful,
I could eat most of it apart from the sea food as I’m allergic but I suppose if your making it yourself you could substitute fish for something else

Good Saturday morning everyone. It's actually dry here at the moment. Not warm, but not wet and windy either, so I'm not complaining. Yet!

Lizzie, Poor GD, getting soaked like that is horrible.

Oma, I'm pleased to hear you aren't doing much today, and B is a star for doing the cupboard doors. I'm quite sure J would say they were fine, just leave them!!

Gem, it's surprising how much paper work you need isn't it.

Nanto, enjoy your shopping. The birds on your graphic are certainly early ones!

I'm getting some washing done, then hopefully more gardening. Fingers crossed it stays dry, otherwise I'll have to get the ironing done!

It’s still raining and dark , it’s never let up all day . We even had the heating on as it was quite cold .

Had a lovely visit from my elderly neighbour she bought me a lovely bunch of mixed roses bless her ,
                            wasn’t that kind ,
She can hardly walk as she’s waiting for a hip replacement but she had gone and bought me flowers .
                            I had leaky eyes 😁

Ive done nothing today but watch TV and surfed the net , ordered some tops from Roman and looked for summer dresses .
                            A lazy day 😁

Lizzie, the meal looks nice and colourful.

It was cold and damp when we set off for Wakefield.
The sun did come out and it warmed up a bit.
Sun is shining now,but its a bit chilly.
Oma, we ate at our favourite cafe.
Lovely to get flowers from your neighbour.

It was nice to be out. Since the kitchen was decorated a few days ago, things seemed to non stop.

Oma, I've often looked at the Roman website, but yesterday for the first time I placed an order - a couple of pairs of summer trousers, a posh (for me) top and a couple of dresses. It's quite possible they all have to go back, but we'll see. I'm glad to hear you're taking things easy. How kind of your neighbour to bring you some flowers.

Nanto, decorating anywhere in the house is an upheaval, but the kitchen is the worst. Lovely to get out and to have a day off from cooking as well.

Late on Thursday night I ordered a potting bench - it arrived this morning, which I thought was excellent service. When we had a greenhouse I used a bench in there for potting, but since it went I have had to do potting on the ground or on a low table and my creaking bones don't like either, so I ordered the same bench that we bought for DS2's birthday last year. OH could have made me one, but with all the projects he's got on the go at the moment it probably wouldn't be ready much before November 2030! He kindly started to assemble it for me this afternoon, and decided we should protect it with a coat of Cuprinol. So I started to paint it and it was taking me ages. Eventually OH took over while I got dinner and got the washing in, etc. And then it rained. So I ended up holding an umbrella over it while OH painted! All the underneath is done, but we'll have to turn it over and to the top surfaces tomorrow. It'll be such a luxury to be able to stand up to do potting etc.
