Lizzie, I bet the girls will be looking forward to staying with you again.

    Nothing happening here today.

    Rain is forecast.

Good Easter Monday morning, everyone, and yes, it's raining! Even a weather forecaster yesterday predicted a "typical Bank Holiday Monday"!

Lizzie, a concert in Cardiff Castle in July would be lovely, but I'm sure you'll enjoy having the girls just as much. It's exciting planning a new garden, so your DS and DIL have lots going on. If you're more tired than usual after a busy day you really should get a check up. Thank goodness it seems easier for you to get to see a doctor than it is here.

Gem, wondering how you are today after collecting your Mum's things yesterday. I hope the hot water bottles are still helping with the pain. xx

Oma, you neighbours' Easter egg hunt sounds good fun. I bet the Easter Bunny enjoyed it as much as the children did.

I've got a few bits and pieces to do before our guests come today, so I'd better get on with them. I hope you all have a relaxing happy day whatever you're doing.

        Good morning everyone.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Sunday.

Glamma, you have been the very best friend and neighbour poor Jim could ask for .

        Dinner sounded lovely Oma.

Collecting Mums things yesterday wasn't too bad. OH went to the door and she and 3 carers brought it all to the car and we arranged it in there. They were all sweet to me and I thanked them all for everything, I will be sending a card in due course to thank them all.
I had also been partly dreading the afternoon at DD2s as there would be so many of us, several non family. It was fine though and It did me good. SIL's mum who has dementia didn't mention mum at all as I don't think it had registered with her at all. The children (9 including 5 teenagers) all enjoyed the Easter egg hunt.
Henry our cat is very much on his last legs poor boy. The latest injection from the vet hasn't made much difference. So we are bit of a sad household atm.

Our neighbours got back from their month in Singapore last week so our cat feeding stint is over.
No plans today. I hope Daisy and anyone else hosting today has fun.

          Lizzie
The girls will be looking forward to another stay .
Hope the Dr can sort you outx

          Plant
Are you home yet sorry if I missed a post about it xx

We are going to Sainsburys shortly just for milk bread and yoghurts,
We would have gone to Lidl but B needs to take some jeans back he bought that are faulted.

The blossom is falling from the trees and when we got up this morning the car had pink dots everywhere .
it looks pretty but a nuisance when it falls .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma I agree about blossom. It's so pretty, we have a lot around us but it's a bit of a mess when it falls.

I am back but I couldn’t post until today as Broadband was finalised whilst I was away and none of my equipment was connected. DD and Sil had some of the family there and were busy but GS and Sil found time to connect me up. Can’t detect any change as we already had a good signal. GS 2 and his wife are here, lovely to see them. GD1 and H are due soon. I didn’t wake up until 10.30! GS2 who is the physio has given me some exercises for my painful shoulders.

Gemini, I am sure fetching your mothers belongings was sad, the Home made it easier for you which was nice.

Busy day for you Daisy, hope the day goes well.

The garden has burst into colour whilst I have been away Oma.

Welcome back Plant. How frustrating to be unconnected!

I have just sold my wax coat! I bought it 20+ years ago in York, I had a dog and it was handy, I haven't really worn it but each year I have waxed it, I was sorting coats out the other day, I now have the Jack Murphy which is rainproof, I had a look on our Ebay and there were a few for sale so I took the chance, the lady has just been from Leiden and she was so pleased, she has been looking for a brown one for a long time and now she has one! I think I got more for it than I paid all those years ago.

About the blossom, I was at DS1 yesterday, their street if full of blossom, it was as though it was snowing.

Oma, yes, the girls will enjoy their stay, I hope to have my energy back by the time GD1 comes in a fortnights time.

Welcome back Plant. Glad you are reconnected.

We had sunshine this morning. i put a load of towels in to wash.
As soon as i set the washer going the heavens opened.
We had rain and hail. The sun came back out,but didn't bother hanging the washing out.
Our dinner was thin fries, the frozen kind, mince and onion pie, peas and gravy.

Nan2, nice start too here then a downpour. It's been wet since. I'm sorry for Daisy and everyone else who are having celebrations today.

Well done Lizzie. I intend to get my act together and do some selling.

I have continued photo sorting and we have had 2 games of Scrabble. I need to jot some things down for the vicar so I think I'll get on with that .
Henry has eaten a bit today but he's very little and weak now, I don't think we can keep him much longer. He still goes out through the cat flap though. We lock it at night and put a litter tray down so he's not going out in the cold and dark.

Our day was lovely. It was great to see so many of the family together, and GD2 was quite astonished when she worked out that my OH's sister and her husband are her (GD2's) Great Uncle and Great Auntie, and that two other grown-ups were her Daddy's cousins.

I whispered to GD1 to ask her Daddy's cousin's son what he did. When he told her he is a Maths teacher she grinned from ear to ear and said "Cool, I love Maths". Next thing she'd recruited him to help her with some Algebra! (He's about 9 or 10 years older than her, so a very young teacher.) They also all enjoyed playing my keyboard.

The food seemed ok, and everyone tucked in, and they all went home with doggy bags of cakes.

I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow, but Gem, I'm so sorry to see Henry is getting weaker. I know you love him very much and send you hugs. xx

Good morning. Its a bit chilly but the sun is shining.

Daisy, sounds like yesterday was a lovely day.
                          Glad it went well.

Gem, sorry to hear Henry is getting weaker, but he has had a good life.

Hubby has requested jacket potatoes for dinner with cheese and beans. Saves me having to decide what to do.

Oh, and I have just knocked my tea over on the kitchen table.

                            Good morning everyone.

                            Sunny and cold here.

Daisy, what a lovely family day you all had yesterday.

                            Whoops about the tea Nan2!

GS1 day today. We wanted to go to the cinema but there is nothing suitable that GS hasn't seen.
OH will be on the golf course. GS and I may go out for lunch.
Fingers crossed we hear from the registrar that the medical certificate is there today so we can get on.
                            Happy Tuesday to all.

Daisy, what a lovely family get-together, the food sounded good. You need a few days rest now.

Gemini, poor Henry, doesn’t sound as if he with you both for much longer.

Nanto, menu sorted today by OH, sounds good.
