I think today will be an easier day. Hope it is for you as well Daisy.
Yesterday we were tidying in the garage.
Then hubby cleaned the outside of the garage of the garage doors and painted them.
I'm going to do the upstairs this morning.
Dinner will be gammon, baby potatoes, carrot and swede mash and parsley sauce.
Just watching the weather forecast, looks like rain is on the cards for us.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning everyone.
I had a nice evening with my friends last night.
Baby E day today. It was his first day at nursery yesterday.
DD1 will be dropping in to leave DD3's birthday present and see the baby. If she can avoid his nap times!

Morning ladies
Gem
That is shocking your in pain and they tell you it’s not urgent , it’s not like you go to the Dr for trivial things is it .
Makes you wonder what next send you to the village witch to help 🙄it’s madness , there again the village witch would provide better care
Nanto
looks like rain here also.
What colour did hubby paint the garage doors ?
Daisy
Hope you get a quiet day today it’s all go in the Daisy household isn’t it 😁
Lizzie
Good the man found just the lock you needed , it’s reminded me we promised to get MIL one for her back gate and completely forgot about it .
My BIL came home yesterday, spoke to my sister this morning she said he had a peaceful night so that’s a good sign .
Off to MILs with her food see what she had to moan about today ,
not feeling good myself so she better not start I’m in no mood for her nasty mouth today ,
Apparently when Bs sister went on Monday she was horrible to her ,
See what this morning brings .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, good luck delivering Mil’s food. Pleased to hear Bil had a good night.
Nanto your dinner sounds yummy. Gone off cooking just for myself so stocked up with M&S meals, so far they are very tasty. I do add some veg.
Daisy, I hope you manage to sit and enjoy your garden today.
GD1 and family arrived safely in Ilfracoombe, the chalet they booked was quite small, it had bunk beds in the room for Harriet and not enough room for her travel cot. Problem to be solved. GS2 and his wife are on a touring holiday in America for 3 weeks. I am expecting my gardener about 10.30, sun shine atm.Last edited by Plantaholic; 04-05-2023, 08:01 AM.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Oma, I'm sure the village wise woman or whatever would have been a lot more help to me, and more sympathetic too! You may remember DD1, with the same practice as us, had to pay to see a private GP to get the ball rolling with her fibroid problem.
DD1 not coming today as her ex has the car, so it will be baby and me most of the time as it's golf day for OH
I hope MIL is playing nice today.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Hello every body! My quiet day hasn't materialised!
We didn't wake up till nearly 9.30 this morning! Quick shower and then we went out to vote. There's always someone we know there at the same time and today it was a lovely neighbour with her 18 year old son, voting for the first time. He's a lovely lad, and clearly so pleased to be able to have his say. We'd gone in the car with Eva, and OH drove home and I walked her the mile or so back. We cut across an area of forest we all call the Common, and there was someone just herding his cattle out there. Eva and I stood and waited till they had crossed the little stream. She takes no notice of livestock, but they were running round and a bit giddy!
We got all the cushions for the garden furniture down from the loft so we can enjoy sitting in comfort in the garden. The sun promptly disappeared and it went colder. Haha, typical.
It's gardening now, though, and I'd better get back to it before it rains.

I had my very helpful lady gardener this morning for two hours, I think she has finished what I needed her for. she offered to come next week if I needed her, I think she likes coming here. I will have a walk round tomorrow to see if there is anything else she can do to help me. Family not very impressed with the chalet they are staying in and the beach isn’t very near. They have managed to put H in the travel cot as she went on walkabout last night sleeping on the lower bunk. We have had a lovely sunny day today, just a bit windy. I also did some gardening, ironed some trousers and put the vacuum round. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Raining this morning.
No plans for today, up to now.
Plant, the chalet sounds a bit disappointing. Hope it doesn't spoil their holiday.
H going on walkabout made me chuckle.
Sounds like you've got a good gardener Plant.
Dinner is homemade chips, cod in batter from Captain Birds Eye, and peas.
Have a good day ladies.Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good morning ladies.
Really wet and miserable here as well Nan2.
I feel for poor OH who has to play a golf competition this morning.
It's good to have a reliable gardener to call on Plant.
I almost forgot about election day yesterday until you mentioned it Daisy. We opted for a postal vote this year. My ex was standing as an independent councillor where he lives . We are waiting to hear how he did.
As we are having GS2 for the weekend I don't need to do the school run today.
As the spare bed is literally covered with photos at the moment I need to sort and put those away so the poor child can sleep!
There was some talk of friends coming round this evening but it wasn't finalised so I don't know if that's happening or not .“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good Friday morning, everyone.
We had yet another early start. Groceries arriving at 7.30 isn't great, but I left it a bit late to book a slot. But at least the early start gives us a longer day on the garden - except it's raining!
Plant, I hope GD and family are having better weather in Ilfracombe, and little H has settled ok. Having a bit of help in the garden makes a big difference. I expect your lady gardener enjoys working in a garden because you have a keen interest in it. I bet there are a lot of people who just say something like 'mow the lawn and get rid of the weeds' .
Nanto, thank you for the lovely cheery graphic. Enjoy your 'take it as it comes' day.
Gem, I bet the doctor wouldn't say it's not urgent if he/she was suffering like you are! I know there are delays and waiting lists seem to grow by the day, but the thing I really hate is how some (not all) medics are quite casually brutal in their attitudes to patients who are worried or in pain.
Oma, how are you feeling today? And how is your BIL? I hope your visit to your MIL's yesterday went better than you expected.
I wanted to do some washing today, but think I might wait a bit and see what the weather throws at us.
