    Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto - enjoy your gardening. It will be lovely getting your newly painted kitchen back into action.

Gem, how lovely to be choosing first books for GS3 today. As Oma, says, mind your back. Thank goodness the massages seem to be helping, but it's very tempting to overdo things when you're so used to being busy. Poor DD1 - I hope she's ok. xx

Oma, could B be suffering from hayfever rather than a cold? It seems bad this year already. I'm not sure which is the better option though! I've just spent about 15 minutes sneezing non-stop and feel worn out! Fingers crossed all goes well at your pre-op assessment, and also that MIL enjoys her birthday treat.

The sun's shining here and we're going to have a day on the garden, so I'd better get a move on.

Oma, I hope all goes smoothly at the hospital and MIL is on good form.
Don't worry I won't overdo it at the library. I'm going mainly to show my face as I had 2 weeks off for school holidays. I will just do what I can .

Daisy, don't you make your shoulder worse in the garden. DD1 is just overwhelmed I think, marriage break down, unreasonable behaviour from her ex, GS bring extra clingy with her and sleeping badly (GS and therefore also DD) plus losing her grandmother of course. She's been signed off work for 2 weeks so hopefully she can catch you rest while GS is at school each day.

Gemini, please be very careful at the Library, how lovely to be choosing books for your GS3. DD1 must be under a lot of pressure and trying to keep things normal for GS1.

I hope all goes well for your pre-assessment, can you remind me what this is for? Birthday tea with Mil, I do hope she behaves herself.

Nanto, your decorator is a fast worker, it will be nice to get your kitchen straight.

I haven’t anything pressing to do today, except to feed the washing machine. The weather is good atm so the sunroom is calling, maybe a bit of weeding.

Daisy, sorry your hay fever is troubling you, my sil takes something, not sure what, and it seems to be working. There is something in the woods that sets his off.

It’s because they think I have Angina after the little heart attack scare I had a couple of weeks ago .

It all went smoothly but I had to wait for medication that I have to start 24 hours before the angiogram because of my Shell fish allergy.
Apparently some of the ingredients in the dye they inject derived from shell fish so not good for me without these pills

          I have a date it’s not till 16th May at 8.15 am

The Dr was very apologetic about the wait but said it’s the same across the board , but if I had any problems to go in .
They have me on the cancellation list so could be sooner if I’m lucky .

I have to take things slowly till then ,

          Gem
Your poor DD it’s a lot for her to cope with at the moment I hope the rest helps xx

          Daisy
I thought the same thing ,
He has never had Hay fever but I read a lot of people who have never had it are suffering this year apparently it’s something to do with super pollen.

The flat GS is after has gone to sealed bids so it’s in the laps of the gods ,
He will be gutted if they don’t get it but if it’s not meant to be there will be others to look at .

Gem, your poor DD1. She must be feeling really down, especially if her lovely sensitive son is extra clingy and not sleeping well. Losing your Mum must have felt like the last straw for her. I hope GS's dad pulls his socks up and behaves like an adult with responsibilities to his son.

Oma, I mentioned hay fever, because I only get it sometimes but have had it this year. I tend to sneeze for England for a while then am ok in between. I hadn't heard about super pollen, but if it's around we're sure to get it with all the trees around us! I hope GS gets his flat, but as you say, if he doesn't he will find something that he likes just as well, if not better. Also hoping you get a cancellation at the hospital.

My GS1 is going to a funeral this afternoon - it's his line manager at work, who passed away unexpectedly. It's a small close-knit company so I think it's hit them all hard. He's got a suit, white shirt and black tie to wear, and even asked his mum about advice on cleaning his shoes till they shone.

OH and I have spent the morning gardening and I'm going back now to do some more. I think just gentle pruning of the hydrangeas will be my limit though.

I shouldn't speak too soon I know but so far this year I haven't had hayfever.
This time of year tends to be worse than summer as it's mainly tree pollen that affects me.

Gem, fingers crossed, I am the same, tree pollen hits me usually, up to now it hasn't been bad at all.

Hope all those feeling under the weather feel better soon.

Been a busy day,but a productive one. Most of the kitchen is back as it should be.
Just a few bits to do tomorrow.
We spent quite a bit of time doing gardening today.
A few people mentioned that its going to rain from tomorrow for a few days.
Thats why we wanted to get the garden done.

Oma, you never know you might get an earlier appointment if someone cancels.

Oma, I hope your niece has a mild case of Covid and you and B stay clear of it .

Nan2 not sure about your area but no rain forecast here before Friday.

GS1 has started guitar lessons at school today and was full of himself with it all when I picked him up

Gem, it will be great if GS1 really takes to the guitar - a new interest might help to take his mind off some of his worries and help him sleep better. Fingers crossed for you that you escape hay fever this year.

Oma, Hay fever's funny it seems to be different for some people every year. Glad to hear MIL behaved herself, but I do hope B's ok, and it isn't Covid.

Nanto, productive days are very satisfying, aren't they. Are you pleased with your new-look kitchen?

Lizzie, the trees here seem a bit late getting started but I hope that doesn't mean tree-pollen hay fever will plague you later.

I went out to do some more gardening this afternoon, and it rained! So I took Eva off for a good walk in the Forest. It was very quiet, not a soul about, just the birds singing. Lovely. I let her off lead and she was very good, but found the stickiest, messiest mud bath you can imagine. I was going to take her to the river to wash it off, but ran into our next door neighbour with her dog, Missy, coming from the opposite direction. Eva jumped into the car before I could stop her, so I ended up with a pile of dog towels to wash. I rang OH and he met us at the back door with a bowl of warm water to wash her. . I'm not sure what Eva thought of the Fairy Liquid he'd added to it though!

Missy is spending the day with us tomorrow while her mum goes up to London to do her registration for the Marathon, which is on Sunday. Her arm is still painful, but she's determined to do the Marathon for Brain Research UK, and is an absolute star.

                          Just breaking daylight here.

Daisy, we are happy with the kitchen, but its very similar to what it was colourist.

Gem, the guitar lessons could be good for GS, something for him to focus on.
I haven't seen a weather forecast for a couple of days, even if it doesn't rain, the garden is done.

No cooking today. We are going out for steak night tonight. Early birthday meal, which I don't mind. They only do steak night on a Wednesday.

Oma, hope B is feeling better soon.

                            Good morning everyone.

Nan2 it's good to get the garden done while it's fine and dry. Enjoy your meal!

Daisy what a muddy mess, I can picture the scene!

Aquafit and coffee with my friends today. I don't expect it to be pain free but hopefully a lot less painful than the last few weeks.
Tesco delivery this morning but no other plans.

Busy day for me, WI this morning and board games this afternoon. The birds are so busy feeding in the garden, I was sitting quite close but they just kept busy on the feeders. The tits like the peanuts but the robin likes the dried worms. I have a nest box quite close but I have never seen the babies fly.

Daisy, sounds a lovely walk for Eva if somewhat messy for you.

Gemini, take care at Aquafit. Your poor DD must be under a lot of pressure, sorting out the mess her OH has caused.

                                Nanto, enjoy your steak night.
