Oma, that's magical. Such delicate looking flowers looking in great condition despite the snow!

Gem, I'm pleased to hear your Mum is still improving. Fingers crossed here, too. xx

It's been a busy day with Eva and Cooper. It's lovely to see them play together though, and they were both very good, until Cooper decided he didn't want to get in the car to go home! It needed a stern word from OH in the end! DS2's voice and OH's are incredibly similar, and sometimes if Cooper is being stubborn a word from OH works wonders!

OH is out tonight, so I'm having left-over casserole and a night off from cooking.

Myself and my DD sound so alike if we phone family and don’t say who it is they not sure who they talking too till we say.
Storm takes his commands from DD so he reacts to me better than B or SIL 😁

A nice quiet night with ready made meal is a bonus ,
The photo is gorgeous isn’t it and the way the sun is shining on the tulips just perfect 😁

          Good morning.Nice and sunny here.

Oma, that photo is lovely. Our lovely daffodils have been knocked down with the snow. Thay are buried under the snow now.

We are going into town later,so no cooking,we will eat out.

            Good morning everyone.
            A very frosty one here.

Daisy, Cooper is a typical 'grandchild' not wanting to go home

No plans today apart from GS1 staying tonight. I have no idea when he will be arriving. DD has gone to Edinburgh for a much needed weekend away with old friends. GS was picked up from school by his dad yesterday and stayed there last night and will be brought to us at some point today.

Good Saturday morning everyone. It's raining on and off here and chilly - that damp chill that goes right through you.

Nanto, how lovely you've got sun, and your lovely cheerful graphic is very welcome. Enjoy your day out.

Gem, that sounds very cold, and all the weather reports seem to agree! Good for your DD having a week-end away. It sounds as though GS1 is adapting to the new situation, and is happy staying at his dad's .

I hadn't thought of Cooper being a typical 'grandchild', but yes, he is!!

Oma, you'd think close family would be able to tell two voices apart wouldn't you, but you and your DD sound like my OH and DS2! Two vocal peas in a pod!! And with OH and DS2, both able to talk the hind leg off a donkey!

I might get some washing in this morning, although there's no chance of it drying outside. I'm taking Eva for a group dog walk this afternoon. Our trainer organises them, and it's just a calm gentle walk in the Forest with however many dogs turn up. But it's very good for Eva to walk calmly with a group of dogs, all on lead, and it's nice for the humans to have a chance to have a chat as well. The part of the Forest we're going to is pretty isolated at this time of year, but plenty of wildlife which is a problem for some of the dogs. But it's all experience!

              Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning everyone from a snow free Wirral it has all gone magically overnight.
I have had a quiet few days and caught up on all the things you have all been up to,Oma I have heard of so many people replacing Hoovers lately do you remember years ago they used to last forever my mum had one which had a lift up lid and you tipped the dust into the bin it never got blocked etc and she passed it down to me when I got my first flat.
I now have a Vax pet hoover which is easy to use and picks up well I've always had my monies worth from Vax.

Last night I spent a lovely evening with my family celebrating my DGDs 21st Birthday we gathered at a local Turkish Restaurant at 6pm and had a good time the food was delicious and plentiful all served with a massive selection of Turkish dips which everyone enjoyed. My DGD received lots of lovely gifts and was really spoilt so a good time was had by all I was back home by 9pm all ready for my PJs and Netflix.

My new not so little friend has certainly settled in here she is so placid loves everyone and is fully house trained she is such a help with making feel better within my self we go for short walks 2/3 times a day with my DS1 taking her for a long walk when he finishes his night shift at 7.30am she has gotten used to him calling in for her and sits by the window waiting for his car they are so smart aren't they ?

DD had charge of new baby GGS on Thursday and walked him here for a visit he had nana cuddles we changed his nappy and when undressed I just couldn't believe how tiny he was he is just on 6lbs now but still smaller than any of my DGCs when they where born he just disappears into his clothes they will fit him until he about 5 (lol)

I'm feeling much better now after getting out and about stopping for little chats with people its raised my spirits up a wee bit and just don't feel so lonely within myself.

I've still not seen Jim for 3 weeks now I stop and ask his carers how he is and they all say he is doing well in himself but still not eating too much I am going to make him some soup this afternoon and pass it in tomorrow for him.

I'm off now to do a wee bit of housework and will catch up over the next few days take care everyone x

Sunshine here atm, hope it lasts. GD2 and partner here for the weekend although I haven’t seen them yet. Dog still next door, I hope she is better, GD1 at work until mid-day.

So pleased you are feeling better Glam, your little friend has certainly found a good home. I can just imagine GM and GGM changing such a small little one. Sorry to hear Jim is still not eating well, he might just fancy that soup.

Daisy, enjoy your walk with your doggy friends

Oma, I hadn’t thought that an animal would be tuned into a certain voice giving commands.

Gemini, I hope your DD has a lovely weekend with her friends

Good morning, it is still cold, there has been keen frost, luckily it is dry, rain and snow forecast after today though.

Did anyone listen to Tony Blackburn on Radio 2 this morning, it is his 80th birthday, Dermot 0'Leary was interviewing him with guests, it was very good.

DS1 was flying to Angolia today for his work, he get a phone call yesterday from KLM, apparently one of the last countries to have covid rules, he wouldn't be allowed in until he had been in quarantine for 7 days. This because he isn't vaccinated. He travels all over the world, never had a problem.

Glamm, I love the chats I have with people when I am out, I have just been to the shops and met a few people I know so had a few chats. In fact it is the same at fitness, when I go early they are such a friendly lot, later they all seem to have pods in their ears so they don't talk much! That is an age thing!

The place where I do voluntary work organised a coffee afternoon for some of the volunteers yesterday afternoon, it was blowing a gale and snowing, I decided I would go as they do their best to organise these meetings, I enjoyed it and got to chat with other volunteers and find out what they all do.

The new baby will be tiny, the youngest DD of my DIL2 works in the hospital with babies in incubators, very tiny at times, when her own son was born she said it felt like a giant!!

Morning all So pleased to see that the snow has gone ( apart from the last remains of a snowman in a neighbour garden)

Lizzie I missed the interview with Tony Blackburn but I can remember clearly the very first day of Radio 1 launch It was September 30th 1967 at 7am I was in bed with my little radio next to me I was so excited , a radio station just for younger people it was such an occasion.
Sadly BBC radio has lost its way . As we got older we switched to radio 2 but it went down hill after Terry Wogan died , We now listen to Boom radio and Boom light when we want music with no adds

                      Nan2, lovely cheerful graphic

We don't have anything planned for today. OH will watch football, but not on BBC as they seem to have shot themselves in the foot with all the Gary Lineker malarkey. I will watch the Luther film on Netflix
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

dansette.jpg Mimi, they did mention the start of Radi0 1, if you can get to listen to it again it is well worth the listen. Was it a red Dansette radio???? This is the one I had.

                              Afternoon ladies ,
Its been very busy here .
I did my usual weekend blitz and some washing then decided to travel into Sunderland to go to the big Tesco ,
Had a good look around and came out with a purse a lot lighter than when we went in πŸ™„

Got home just hung our coats up and DD arrived with the dog ,
Hes blowing his winter coat so all my dusting was in vain fur floating everywhere .
Put kettle on and GS1 arrived hungry as usual , so made us all lunch
They have all just gone home so now another round of dusting and hoovering
                              I think I need a lie down in a darkened room 😁
                              Will catch up later x

Been a good day. Day in town went well.
Bought a few bits in the shops, nothing special.
Went to the butchers on the way back to the car.
Shopped in Asda on the way home.

Lizzie, i can remember the first day of Radio 1, and the little transistor radios.

Oma, fancy Storm undoing your housework.

Forgot to say,we called to see DS2 and his fiance, on our way into town.
Had a cuppa and a catch up with them.
