I'm not surprised B had had enough.

We've had snow of and on today, nothing heavy.

I got my pies done this morning, made 3.All frozen now.

The car passed the MOT, hubby was confident it would.

Nanto, it's always a relief when the car passes its MOT. I always feel like patting it on the bonnet and saying"well done"! That's three nice meals waiting for another day.

Oma, it was too good to be true that MIL didn't make a fuss in the dentists. No wonder B is fed up. Did Storm go back into the house eventually. I was telling our trainer about him (her DD has a Husky) and she said her DD's dog isn't in the least bit interested in the snow - she'd rather snuggle down in front of a warm fire.

Gem, you've certainly got more than your fair share of house-sitting duties at the moment. Am I right in thinking the friends who are currently away went to New Zealand? If so they are going to have a shock coming back to this weather, poor things. There are a lot of 'firsts' for that baby girl when she arrives. xx DS's appointment was for an MRI scan, so he won't get the results till next week.

Lizzie, you are very good to your GDs. I hope the school charity afternoon was successful, and I'm sure you and your GD2 did your bit to help things along. It does sound as though the lady who goes to the pool is desperate for attention. The trouble is being like that doesn't endear her to people who might become good friends if her attitude was better. It's sad, isn't it. I'm glad exercise helps you to relax a bit. I think I'd be asleep on the gym floor doing circuit training!

Having said we had no snow this morning, I was amazed to get 3 miles further north and there was snow - I think some had melted but there were lots of patches of it in the Forest.

Good morning, Daisy, I think you have hit the nail on the head about the lady! She has lived here in the flat 13 years and doesn't seem to have good friends, I asked her if she wanted to go to the pool, she does enjoy it but loves attention, it being cramp, drowning or whatever!!!

I enjoyed the afternoon at the school, GD2 was delighted I was there, of course I needed the loo, off the runs up 3 flights of stairs with me following her. It was well organised, different snacks, crafts etc all made by the pupils, stalls with colourful products from Ghana, I got a purse. No cash changed hands, we got the strip cards and whatever was purchased they crossed the strips off.

I had to go and check the books yesterday evening for the housing cooperation, I do it every year, I wasn't looking forward to going, I got there dry, on the way home there was a snow storm, it is a good thing my bike knows where it has to go or I would have been lost, I was white, my specs as well. The gritters were out as well, luckily it is dry now.

Oma, I can understand B having had enough, doesn't MIL understand she could still be enjoying life instead of being like she is?

I am going to get dressed.

            Snowing very lightly.

Lizzie, your afternoon at the school sounds lovely.

Plan A,dinner at the pub with SIS in law and her hubby.
Plan B,if the weather gets worse and we can't go, dinner will be breaded chicken, baby potatoes and whatever veg i decide of.

Good morning Lizzie, good morning ladies.

Lizzie, you are brave cycling in the snow

Daisy, they are the friends who have been to NZ. However for the past week they have been in NY, visiting more family! So, they will already be having their shock to the system! Our next door neighbours by contrast are leaving this cold snap to go to the heat of Singapore.

Optician for me this morning, and a Tesco delivery. Then I will go to see my mum this afternoon. On Tuesday I was told she seemed a lot better.

                  Morning ladies
Quite deep snow today and just started again.
B busy clearing the snow off the car,

I have Dentist at 9.30 I’m not sure she can save this tooth as another piece broke off so not much left of it .

                  Lizzie
sounds a good afternoon at the school , not good having to ride home in the snow though,
Your neighbour sounds like my MIL must be centre of attention,
Wouldnt mind but when MIL was nice for those 3 weeks she must have noticed we stayed longer ,

                  Daisy
Storm has to be dragged in when like this , yesterday he just stood there as the snow fell on him,
He then tried to escape being dried off when he came in but lucky for me B grabbed him while he tried to dodge around me 😁

                  Gem
Hope your Mum is on the mend and she’s happy to see you.
No doubt you will be taking her a cream cake 😁

                  Nanto
Good news the car passed, your never sure if they will find something though are you .
Hope you get plan A today x

Oma, I sympathise with your tooth. I have had more tooth problems in the last 3 years than in the rest of my life!
Yes, chocolate cream eclairs arriving on the Tesco delivery this morning for mum

Good Thursday morning, everyone. I hope no-one is snowed in! We're more likely to float away as it's raining non-stop.

Lizzie, you are brave and skilful riding your bike home in the snow. Were you wearing that nice new coat you got? I can't help wondering if your needy neighbour is trying to make up for feelings of lack of love or care at some time in her life. But, it's difficult to deal with the drama on a day-to-day basis, as I know Oma experiences with her MIL. Running up 3 flights of stairs is no mean achievement!

Nanto, doesn't gently falling snow look beautiful. It makes everywhere seem peaceful and at rest. Still I hope you manage to get out to the pub for dinner.

Gem, I'm glad your Mum seems to be on the mend. I'm sure your visit and the eclairs will help. You've reminded me I need to book an optician's appointment for me and OH. I hope yours goes well - it can end up being quite an expensive day. I imagine if it's cold in NY your friends might even find it warmer here! I'm sure it's easier to be travelling towards the good weather, like your neighbours will be.

Oma, good luck at the dentists. I do hope the tooth can be saved without too much pain either physical or financial. Is B enjoying his new car, despite the weather? I can imagine Storm trying to dodge being dried off - he probably want to keep the snow on his fur as long as possible!

Today we should get the final stage of our new broadband set up - digital phones. We had to wait to be able to get our number ported from the previous provider - there's a statutory period of notice apparently. So fingers crossed that goes ok today.

I was a bit worried about getting to the hospital today for the X-ray but family said it is fine on the roads, being tucked away we looked like Winter Wonderland. Been to the nurse this morning for a blood test and the snow has gone, hope we don’t have more to follow. The birds are looking for food so I have put some out for the ground feeders. The tit box is being used, I hope they are keeping warm. I don’t know what has happened to the Christmas Cactus, it is in full bloom again. GD2 is coming home this weekend from London, she is such a live wire.

Oma, your Mil is the end, I hope she has learned that she can’t have everyone running around for her when she wants, pigs might fly. Perhaps Storm would like a sledge to pull and take you to the shops when it snows. I can imagine you with a lovely sleigh and wrapped fur blankets gliding along.

Daisy, I hope you will finally get your broadband completed today. We are having bits delivered.

Lizzie, that couldn’t have been pleasant to ride in that snow storm. You do have fun with your GD’s they obviously like your company.

Chocolate Eclairs Gem, I am sure your mum will enjoy those. I hope the visit to the opticians will be as cheap as mine.

Nanto, good news the car passed its test. I hope you get your lunch out today.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Daisy, I was wearing my lovely, new and waterproof coat! I hung it in the bathroom to get dry. I was the only one on the roads when I cycled home, well, as far as I could see which in fact wasn't far.

I have just been to the 'better moving" class, the lady that does it is on holiday and it a younger lady, I think Brazilian, it was certainly better moving!!

Plant, both the GD's enjoy being here or me with them, they always have done.

Daisy, I don't know what it is with the neighbour, loves attention all the time.

I called in to see the friend in the home yesterday after visiting the school, I went in the car as I decided it was too cold to bike. The friend was in the room downstairs watching TV with more people, when she saw me she said we would go and sit in the living room upstairs, which we did, one of the helpers poured her coffee , she said she wanted to go to the toilet, the only thing was she didn't return. I waited then asked the young girl where she could be, we had a look in her room etc, then went downstairs, still searching, one of the staff said she had gone back to the TV room, she has no short memory whatsoever now, when she saw me she stood up and said how nice it was to see me! At times like that I realise how much she has deteriorated in the year she has been there. Then she always has her coat and bag with her, on the off chance someone will take her. I find it difficult at times, especially when leaving, I get on with my life and she doesn't seem to have one. They are happy in their own way.

At the office last night a lady helps with coffee etc, I have known her for years, always very active, cycling, swimming triathlon etc, I was talking to her about 6 years ago and she told me that she has parkinson. She is managing really well with it, she says it does seem to be getting worse, she will be 70 soon and it could be a combination. She still manages her evenings with coffee, it won't be often but she manages, she also works in the charity shop in the village, she has done that for years, she doesn't help in the shop now but sorts the clothes etc out as they are handed in.

Cheerful today!!! It is the weather, we need some sun!

Its a awful disease isn’t it , your poor friend , she most likely wouldn’t remember you had visited as soon as you left .
No need for you to feel guilty , you know she is happy in her world and you must be happy in yours ,
Your too nice and sensitive that’s why you GDs love to be with you 😁

                                Plant
Hope the drive to Hospital is ok and you get parked ok , Hospital car parks are a nightmare ,

DD tried last winter tying a little sledge to Storms harness, he sat down and wouldn’t move , much to say if you want pulling get someone else 😁

                                Daisy
B is loving the car, he keeps telling me things about it and I try to look interested but I know my eyes are glazing over with boredom 🤣
You will be all giddy if the broadband is finalised today. You will need a celebratory party in your street 😁

Dentist went well , she built the tooth up and to be honest I thought there was no hope ,
She doesn’t expect it to last forever but for now it’s all good ,
Nose and lip still numb so drinking a cup of tea was interesting 😁
Trouble is as she said I have tiny teeth , my late Sister was the same but my Brother and oldest sister had and have normal sized teeth .

As the Dentist is part of our shopping mall we went into Asda and Sainsburys then over the road to Aldi .
If we get snowed in we have plenty in now .
